      The biggest problem of all is the polyester clothing that shed alot, it flies around with the dust and lands on your food, you get it on your hands which you then eat with... I think this is way worse than all the other plastic we come in contact with. Also very bad for the sea life, as plastic never really breaks down, gets pumped out in the ocean by the washing machines

    What could you do in terms of furniture materials? Mattresses, bedding, sofas, chairs, etc.

    • @dradeel
      @dradeel Рік тому

      Leather sofas and chairs. Cotton sheets. For pillows and mattresses, it's definitely difficult to stay completely non-synthetic, and honestly I think the best mattresses for a good night's sleep are synthetic and built to support the body properly for optimal decompression. But there exists mattresses made from 100% natural rubber, so it's definitely possible! That said, you can luckily buy mattress covers in 100% cotton that are meant to protect against wear, tear, spills and accidents. With these under the sheets, you basically have complete liberty of mattresses. Good ventilation will be your additional friend for indirect exposure to synthetic particles. As for pillows, feathers inside 100% cotton should be available to complete the non-synthetic furniture situation. 👍

    And what is the absolute risk factor of wearing le wrong clothes? An extra 0.01% increase in cancer risk, or 0.08% suboptimal hormone production? Please. I live in an urban area, I'm breathing in brake dust and industrial fumes that are in the air. The fact is, all of human history has been suboptimal for our health. There will never be a perfect way to live life. Even in pre-agricultural times, women often had to kill infants for resource management and healthy people would be killed by minor injuries. Then we developed agriculture and everyone started eating tons of carbs and starchy vegetables. When, I ask you, has there ever been a good time for optimal human health?

      Fossiles show that paleolithic humans didn't had any metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, dental problems, etc. They had strong bones and were physically superior to neolithic famers, suggesting that paleolithic humans had good nutrition and overall, didn't suffered from any vitamin and mineral deficiencies. They had other problems though, like inter tribal conflicts, diseases, limited access to water resources, etc.

About 50% of humans died in their childhood, before reaching their teens,. About 5% of adult women died due to childbirth complications and most of them didn't passed on their genes into future generations. Many young men were killed in inter tribal conflicts and most of them didn't passed on their genes into the future generations. Some young men died while hunting large megafuna or were killed by some predator. Etc. Only the tiny, top fraction of the population successfully passed on their genetics into future generations.

    Everything is plastic. Maybe we don't have to worry about tigers ripping our heads off but we need to worry about everyday objects that make us sick and hormonally imbalanced

    I don't think this person understands how much society is struggling just to survive. He's doing all this stuff to look young and healthy but he looks very aged. Just try ypur best to get as much vitamin D. Eat what is available but just don't overeat and overdrink. Workout, go for walks, runs swimming but also give your body rest and a break from sitting down too much or being on social media

    I’ve been watching and following advice from your videos but I had a question about the diet that I can’t find an answer for in any of your videos. Wouldn’t eating small quantities of foods you label as survival foods be healthy? I understand that these foods still have plant defense chemicals in them but wouldn’t the benefits of additional dietary variety outweigh the harm done by the lesser amounts of defense chemicals in these foods? The way I’ve interpreted it was to limit these foods to small quantities per day rather then to fully exclude them both for satisfaction with my diet and for what I personally believe could be healthier. An example of this would be a small amount of nuts being added to your standard animal based diet that you show.

      He has touched on this recently, basically what you wrote -more or less, just be mindful of what you are allergic to before trying this type of ''min-maxing'' for performance.
