- Dirt Bike Magazine did something a little different this go around for an Off Road 2 Stroke Video. We took a KTM 250SX 2 Stroke and converted it into an Off Road racer. This bike was built by Troy Vanscourt to race the WORCS and NGPS races in the Pro2 class on the west coast. With the help of companies like IMS, Precision Concepts, GPR, Kenda, Supersprox, P3 Carbon, Maxima and Seat Concepts he was able to turn a motocross bike into an off-road ripper.GPR Version 4 Pro Stabilizer kit comes complete with top triple clamp, bar mounts, frame mount and version 4 under the bar stabilizer. Pro Circuits original works pipe constructed of AKDQ stamped carbon steel was teamed with the very popular 304 Factory Sound silencer. We did this for its performance improvements and with its stainless-steel, aluminum construction durability is increased as well. Blaise Racing ported and polished the cylinder for some additional performance without compromising durability . A V-Force reed cage was also added for some increased performance.Scott, Darren and the crew at ZLT designed a custom set of graphics for our off-road project that gave it some bling factor.

The sound of that pc exaust system going in the distance is unbelievable! Coolest sound in the world! It's better than the sound of breaking glass lol
I'm a huge fan of 2 stroke MX bikes for offroad. They are light, dead nuts simple and the power is what advanced riders want anyway. Seems like everyone is always trying to get more out of their motor, starting with the SX CDI and higher compression head gives you the NUT you are looking for off the bat. I love my SX250 motor for desert riding!

Can somebody explain to me if Enduro 2Ts like Huskys & KTMs can race, I'm wondering due to hearing there like 90% top end, while typical 2Ts like Yama's Kawi's and Suki's are more 60/40 top and Bottom, I'd like to know cause I'm thinking of stepping up from a Yz 250X to a Husky TE 300, but if it's all top end I wouldn't consider it a step up ????
Amazing down low grunt for a 2 stroke, they also hit hard up top. The 300 has a more tractor like power compared to the 250 2 stroke ktm which revs faster and suits the aggressive rider more. Changing the power characteristics is very easy to do on the KTM 2 strokes so if it doesn't suit you as it is stock it's as easy as changing out a little spring for the power valve and you've got a completely power delivery, bikes come new with three different springs to choose from all colour coded, KTM don't bullshit when they say ready to race 😉

This is not off road. I can't stand when west coast people talk off road. Everything here is moto, just on an ungroomed track. Real off road is 1st and 2nd gear, and being off the bike pushing at times through trees that you couldn't fit a lawn mower.
