I'm 25 and I've noticed I permanently use my forehead muscle to elevate my eyelids. I do this daily without actually realising it. If I try to relax it, it's actually hard to keep it relaxed. Now I already have a wrinkle in my forehead due to this. But Whenever I relax this muscle it causes a lot of heaviness in my eyes and they droop a lot. I just look very sad when I relax my forehead because my eyes start to droop.
@@KH-xj5qw For men it’s “distinguished” lol. I’ve heard someone say this about my SO. He has very deep lines in his forehead and has had since he was in his 20’s. I think in women, though, we aren’t usually though of as looking “distinguished” when we have deep wrinkles, unfortunately!
I have the same 😬 i lift my brows up to get a more youthful, happy and pretty look in the eyes otherwise i look tired, sad and angry. But now 32 year old I've got deep wrinkles now in my forehead due to this. I don't have money for eyebrow lift surgery, so I always lift them up. But it has caused wrinkles. I wanna do botox to lift them up but I'm scared. I tried once and my brows dropped even more and I looked so mad angry and even worse when relaxed
hahaha yes, I am turning 50 next year. . I didn't really scoff, but I definitely ignored the whole industry and had a "whatever makes one happy, but not for me." attitude. That has changed dramatically in the last 6 months. I think I might actually be on the menopausal train ? Because I see drastic changes in my face, over a very short period of time. So I have been learning a lot about the subject. What I learned up till now : The only procedures I would get done if my eyes begin to droop, is the eye-lid reduction. If done well, it is seemles. And the second procedure I would get done, if the corners of my mouth begin to droop, is botox in the depressor anguli oris. It is about the only place where I would want botox on my face. To keep my skin firm, with an even complexion and wrinkle free, I am betting my money on the aduro led face mask, that should be arriving any day now. I will see, when I turn 60, if it did anything and if I can postpone a face lift until I am 70 😃 To keep/get the muscle volume in my face and not get wrinkly doing weird faces in the mirror, I started using the Nuface microcurrent device last week 😄 And to top it off, today I bought a second hand HairMax laserband to counter hairloss, that apparently starts when one slips into menopause ? Who knew. 🤷♀️ We will see in 5 years if it was all worth it or not 😎
I’ve always been afraid of doing the Botox but I just turned 48 and I’m starting to see some aging signs especially in between the brows so now I’m considering it now. I will probably do it for the first time real soon. And just like he said I’ve started to unconsciously lift my right brow causing wrinkles to form only on my right side!
You are AMAZING! Finally someone clear, detailed, honest and thorough! Thank you SO much..i m bingeing on your videos! I have long suspected that filler lasts WAY longer than on label! Also loved the fat vs filler and this botox review! Really clarifies what I had to experience over the years through trial and error injections.
I've always had high arched brows all my life. I love them. I also have hooded eyes though and my first Botox gave my very heavy lids which made my hoods even worse....
Omg me too! Well the first time was in between my brows and I was fine...loved it. Second time she convinced me to do forehead and one eyelid in particular feels awful and heavy. My eye lids were already so hooded I won't be doing that again or at least with that dose.
Wow!! Thank you and so very helpful. Recently received Botox in my forehead and now I notice a heaviness on near my brow and forehead. I had no idea why. Once this wears away I will not have Botox in that area again. Thank you so much!
I much rather have Spock eyebrows than droopy tired eyes, a high eyebrow arch (within limits) is a sign of youth. I like that look because it doesn't last and after a few days it goes down a bit and looks more natural.
Love your videos Gavin. You are very good at explaining things at a level most can understand. As a practitioner (Cosmetic Nurse) I find your videos very informative. So thank you! :)
Thank you for the very useful informations . you are the best one explained it to me . I have heavy eye lids and my eyebrows is dropped , I wished you were close by. Best regards
I have had forehead lines since I was 20. I have had Botox in my forehead but had to stop. My forehead feels like a brick or a dead steak. I just accepted the lines. Thanks for the dermal filler suggestion.
Dr Chan, I recently saw someone inject Botox under the eye. Is this a safe place to inject Botox? The after results on this lady really prevented her from having wrinkling when she smiled. Thank you for you advice.
Very informative, love your videos. Much love from the UK , was thinking about having Botox in my forehead but think I will give it a miss due to having heavy brows already. Will stick to having Botox between the brows and brow lift to avoid unnecessary heaviness. 🙋♀️
I am coming to see you....soon. You are knowledgeable and I trust your judgement...trust being my main concern. Making an appointment this week.. Adelaide..
i have this exact problem, my forehead muscle keeps lifting up even when i am relaxed so i have wrinkles since i was a teen. i first got botox at 26 and now i am 30.. but it won't last cause the movement is still there even when i have botox i feel my muscle pulling up. And botox wears off really quickly. I have heaviness yes but it doesn't bother me personally cause i have high eyebrows arches anyway.
Wonderful video. I learned a lot. I got dysport a week ago and have felt very heavy and not able to raise my brows much. Not sure if this will lessen in the next week or so but at least I can go back to my doctor and ask for some help with it. Thank you.
Can use a softer filler for those with less volume loss, or a firmer one for those who need more. Firmer ones are harder to get smoother though. It's not really about what filler you use though, the practitioner's experience and techniques are more important.
Hi Doc...I had 36 botox injections..this is what you would use on a migraine patient because I have Trigeminal Neuralgia and TMJ issues. I received relief from it but now have a droopy eyelid. He used 75 units of botox could this cause insomnia because it started from day one of botox even though I take a sleeping tablet. I also had a fusion on C5-C6 about 7 months ago maybe this is adding to the facial pain. What would be the best places to inject. I could email you for the information. I live in South Africa. Many thanks
Thanks ! What about temple filler ? Wish I could come see you , a lot of times I get the heavy brow. I have deeper set eyes, some redundant skin, and tiny forehead.
I've asked several dermatology P.A.s who specialize in esthetics to use filler on my forehead, and they won't because they say it's dangerous. What are your thoughts on the risk level?
I recall your video of the MRI that showed filler hanging around for a very long time. Could it migrate downward toward the brows and cause future heaviness on the brow line?
Thanks very much for this!. I’ve had 1st time Botox in 3 areas, I have very hooded eyes. I now have one brow up too high and other eye very heavy I can’t see my lid and the skin is sitting in my eyelashes!. Going for check up next week and hope I can get this sorted out! 🙏😊
Too much weight or skin hanging over eye can also be result of weak forehead muscles droopy forehead...that is exactly what is causing my eyelids to droop inward. Will I get charged again if I ask my doctor to fix the spok eye look! I look evil! My brows lift only on the end and now my eyes are more hooded and the skin on my eyes pulls the sides because the outer muscles on my brow still lift but not the inside of my brow! It’s awful! When I put my eyeshadow on I have way more hooded lids. I also had my neck bands done and I see no results. He did my lips and they are crooked. Ugh! He’s been doing these injections since 2003. This was my first time getting anything done.

So far, no heaviness, but i'm very nervous and only on day 4. Last time, day 9 was when the lid ptosis hit. I also do NOT want to drop future clients. I am asian with very hooded lids with visible eyelashes, but the lid drop did completely cover the lashes. so this scenario is sure to be something i'll be seeing or NOT seeing if done properly. LOL. Could threads work? to lift the muscles so they don't wrinkle? for a permanent solution?
Instead of fillers on the forehead, what’s your opinion of PDO threads as a possible alternative?
I just finished listen to a video of yours where you didn’t recommend fillers. What about fat transfer to the forehead?

what if the eyebrows have risen like a doctor spock because of botox? Is it necessary to add botox in certain areas to lower the tip of the eyebrows?

Are you not worried about hitting the lacrimal gland if injecting just below the eyebrow?
Isn’t it dangerous to inject fillers in the forehead? Higher chance of vessel occlusion

exercises after submental liposuction to get rid of ripples? Thank you.

Dr Lim , i would really love if you shared your thoughts about PRP use as line/wrinkle fillers🧐
I got botox and now i look like a character "angry bird" ugh how is this corrected?
Ah yes. We actually have a whole video on this topic. Look at the Dr Spock video on our channel.
So I’m sorry what is the answer to not having your brows lowered?
How do you know how many units to use in Botox injections
I had another 2 lines appeared just right above each brows following the the brow shape , when i just wanted to smooth the horizontal line in the middle of the forehead. it was long time ago and happened maybe 6-7 month after. What happened ? I learnt to relax my forehead muscles through meditation practices , just being conscious about facial movement
What do you think about doing a lateral brow lift with just dermal filler?
Would that make any much of a difference?
is it normal if the hair moves with the muscle movement or raising eyebrows so high?

Are you in Melbourne?
I've been given botox to actually lift the eyebrows.
That's good as long as you don't look too arched. We often do this too for our patients
I would love to get surgery, but look at the price difference 😩 between that and Botox. However, the older I get the more I realize that is the route I’m going to have to go.
Is it possible to create a more almond shaped eye with Botox with consideration to keeping the brows looking natural? My eyes droop downwards
You are excellent
