Made Holy Spear work for the first time yesterday with the Reaper. Got Spike Shield and 2 Holy Shield filled with purple gems to tank opponent's healing to 0 with upgraded Cap. Also placed green gems in Spear. With 2 of the shield in the Coffin, Poison made up about 50% of my damage.
i made my holy spear setup with magic torch, looking back on it, i should probably use a lot of stamina potions along with the mana potions since once spear activates itself, it just saps all your stamina away.
The scary thing is that Bobs didnt have all of their poison flasks inside of the Scythe, nor connected the health pots (Also the pigs are not positioned well, but meh). And by the last round I usually have two to three corrupted gems but he combined for Discomfort. It couldve gone wrong in the end.

At 16:26 Holy Armor on sale would've been great, since holy items also count for the stars of the new Holy Spear! :)
Does it count each slot tho or just one per armour?

This build makes me happy, im getting sick of the poison stacking meta. I've been calling it the
"Toxic meta"
i got 100 poison scythe + saber in round 9 against me i died in 2.95 sec
Bruh I was running poison bomb and all I came across was holy spear bursts screwing me over so I switched to holy spear and then all I got was crit burst rangers, wtf is my RNG dude 😭
Don't get it why not just buy the spear instead of floating gold, sure you can't play it but it's also not taking up a shop space for no reason either.
He ended up buying the health pot with that gold instead, which he actually played. His play was fine and reasonable.
Health potion dominates Round 1-4 if you get it

I just started playing a couple days ago, maybe ten games in, and my best games always been with the Holy Spear or the thorn whip 🤷♂️.
Those crowns are probably the most stupid thing they added so far. I lost today 3 runs in survival modes in the last 3 rounds of the run against 3-4 holy spear with several crowns in a row. I dont know who gave them the idea stackable dmg immunity was a good idea to add to the game.
I mean, they've been in the game for a long time which means they have tested it and its not disruptive. Even when they changed Book for Crown, they nerfed it a little, so you know they are trying to balance it.

holy spear is to op. blind builds are trash now. its not well balanced.
There are better options available so it's not OP

Takes up quite a lot of space to use it optimally and is pretty expensive.
The Debuff System is just not well rounded. Poison is so much cheaper to stack than blind so everything that cleanses is too strong against blind.
