it felt like you overlooked this: bloodthorne does +2dmg/regen while hungryblade only does +0.5dmg/regen with bloodharvester the difference isnt quite so drastic because spikes are not doubled but at the end of the last battle bloodthorne would have dealt ~84 dmg while hungryblade only dealt ~32.5 dmg. if you knew this just ignore me ^^

Its actually a huge difference because hungry only increases max dmg, meaning it can still roll a 5 on hit, but BT scales to +dmg dealt, meaning it will hit max dam every time

Yeah, I meant while normally bt has 4 times more bonus dmg than hb, with bloodharvester it's "only" 3 times. Still a large difference

But the stamina alone makes up for it. Let's say double shield late your weapon will hit less then half as often as the other.
Plus you have to have a build turn which normally leeds to a loss.
With a blood goober, bloodhound isn't worth it. But generally it's way stronger to have a single let bloodhound and boost it and a banana with gloves.
You can hit masters pretty easily with ranger with singular bloodthorne+ double spiky shield

thats actually a good reason not to build bloodthorne! i originally made the comment not necessarily to argue in favor of bt but because it seemed to me that ben may have overlooked the dmg difference from what he said in the video. thank you @@justinchase6666

I think Blood Harvester and Hungry blade is better than 2 hungry Blades. You gain vamp at the same rate but double the max amount (regen -> vamp)

This. Harvester requires half the amount of regen than 2x hungry blade. 15 regen = 30 vamp > 15regen = 15 vamp. If we were not constrained by regen then 2x hungry is better.

I made a ranger build recently with blood harvester + double bloodthorne + double vamp gloves + leaf for regen + stamina potions. It was so strong that I beat an insta-lamp crit staff that had 2 books, after the initial 4 seconds I was hitting for huge damage and life stealing all the health back; didn't have vamp goobert though.

It looks like Hungry Blade gains +2 max damage per attack. Bloodthorn gains +3 max damage and +3 min damage per attack. That's triple the scaling

in case u missed it, bloodthorn isnt better just cause of the spikes, it does increase min and max dmg, not just max dmg

I think the fact that harvester goes faster based on your vamp actually makes it worse. Makes it harder to make multiple hungry blades / blood thorn work. You really only want it for the doubled vamp effect.

@@crystallized1676 yeah but with 40 vamp it is stupid fast, it has less stamina cost than the hungry blades or blood thorn so it will use the stamina before your blades and they will trigger the out of stamina effect. Without a lot of heroic potions or bananas it griefs them if you run multiple.

@@crystallized1676 it’s a good weapon woth a good effect. You can run it for a lot of things. You mostly use it for the doubling of vamp gain. It would be better if it didn’t have the attack speed increase effect at all. Having to find and build into your bag stamina support for it makes it harder to use. That’s all I’m saying.

The thing about double hungry blade vs. blood harvester + HB is that you get double vamp for each regen you spend with the harvester. with 2xHB you will get vamp at the same rate but your max vamp is halved since you get a 1x1 trade.

at about 26:40 when you bought the second hungryblade, I think rotating the gloves with the red glove hitting the harvester was better? small critique great video

2 things I feel people keep forgetting about blood harvester: IT GOES FUCKING FAST
1) it triggers our main dmg the goob of blood A LOT
2) it's the fastest weapon ingame (competing with claws) - lamp that shit for a 33-39 dmg hit every 0.5 sec?????
I always felt it could be an insane weapon if you could rely on getting it, like make it a legendary as the opposite to reaper scythe and it's build enabling

there is a stat that shows you how much you heal: You see how much damage they dealt and how much life you have left. Initial life + dmg taken - life left is the amount you healed

Hungry blade only gets +1 max dmg, while Blood thorn gets +1 dmg so minimal dmg to. so thats why I think its better. I recently did similar build with blood thorn without goobert and i got 16 wins easily

Why is blood harvester so slow at 35:11 ? As Ben points out its only 2.16s.
But it has a base of 4 so 45 vampirism at 5% each should be 225% faster, so close to 1.2 seconds

No, only melee weapons (Stones are ranged). Villain Sword works best with a bunch of daggers imo, that way you don't stam-out

With blood harvester you get 2 vamp for every regen so with double hungry without blood harvester you gain half the vam0

Double hungry is not better because 1 regen would turn into 1 vamp and it would run out but blood harvester gives 2 vamp per regen
