This isn't a proper reflection of the Lambo because James accidently bought one that hadn't been fixed properly? Because perhaps he didn't do his homework on it. I guess the cheap price tag plus it being a Lambo swayed him and unlike Tarvish unfortunately James can't do the work himself, so the bill just gets bigger and bigger.

Oh thats gut-renching. I did something similar with a '55 plate Mazda RX8. Stunning to look at in a nice shade of Velocity Red, but so many bizarre quirks for so little benefit (seriously Mazda, the damn thing needed 1Ltr of very expensive engine oil every second fill up of the tank!). Numb steering, terrible MPG ( less from a tank than my old 2.8 Capri). I regretted buying it and lot a frightful amount selling it on. Biggest car mistake of my life.

Up to a certain age, car guys are hung up on 0-60 times, nurburgring lap times, bling and status. Then, all of a sudden, they realise they're not interested in playing top trumps any more and just wanna have fun. You get one life.

The promise you made was impossible to keep if you didn’t enjoy the Gallardo (that is the main reason to buy a car and follow your purchases). Plus with your new daily (and the 550), you still have some of the flair and passion of the Lamborghini (and I prefer the exhaust sound of the daily, even if the blue one was great in that regard). It looked a bog-standard, steel-wheeled bubble of a car, but it would beat most mini hot hatches, and others from that period, off the line. And it handled brilliantly too, with it's little narrow wheels on each corner. It was so much fun!

At the end of the day, it's your channel and your money. Anybody feeling let down, can always go and buy their own money pit project and walk the minefield...
I think you might have dodged a bullet, it sounds like there was a lot of trouble brewing, at huge expense. There's nothing to apologise for.
The Celica and the S2000 are great ongoing projects that (hopefully) wont be ruinous to progress. Keep it up boss.

@@jayjuggrnaut perhaps, only time will tell. You only ever hear the horror stories of exotic car ownership and it's often enough to put many off buying something. James is grounded, lives in the real world and is still in control of his own destiny. Many UA-camr's became a slave to their audience, and by that point, the tail starts wagging the dog and they're no longer buying the cars they like or find interesting, but instead become a content vehicle for what the viewership wants to see. IMO, kudos for a left field choice, a car that goes under the radar and is underappreciated.

Been a subscirber since your Evora 400 days. My initial thought when the notifcation popped up on my phone at work today was "plonker", but having watched your video JayEmm I very much respect your honesty and why you moved the Gallardo on. I'm grateful you were honest as it counts for a lot and shows your integrity. I know how it is when you fall out of love with a car and it no longer makes you happy; it happended to me with my first Lotus, a Europa S. I now have an Evora Launch Edition that I'm still very much in love with after 7 years of ownership. It would take something that was very special to make me part with the Evora. As a long time Lotus fan, possibly only the Emira in V6 form could do that if it's as good as I think it will be. Planning to go to F.O.S. on the Thursday to see it - looking very much forward to that. It would be great if you could have the Emira on your channel when it comes out. Keep up the great content!

It is always a problem with second hand older cars - how much of the poor handling and ride is down to the suspension being shot. I'm surprised a mechanic could not tell you that though - check for play in the bushings, check the rebound on the shock, check alignment etc. I have said before I really think with older second-hand cars, it's well worth checking what sort of condition the suspension is in. So we can know is it just this car or all of them? I know it's not practical for you to do, but it would be nice.
