We just finished watching and I had to get the mop and mop up from drooling after watching Andy eat that strawberry! We introduced my parents that are in their 80s to your channel a few days ago and I talked to them yesterday and my mother said they watched for 4 hours yesterday and they loved it! My mother said it was addictive! It brought back old memories of their childhood. God bless
Happy Anniversary and may God richly bless you guys. By the way Janet and I will have our 50th anniversary October 24,25 .I believe, but it's been a good 50 years and we still love ❤️ each other. Happy Mothers day ❤
Happy Early Anniversary to you and yours
Yes, those are potato 'bugs', the larval stage that eats them up. We used to have to pick them by hand.
Keep your buckwheat going in the middle of the rows like you have to attract beneficial insects. Buckwheat also converts Phosphorous locked up in the soil to plant available Phosphorous (the P in NPK fertilizer), great for all plants and key for beans. Buckwheat also adds Magnesium. So it's good stuff to have and save seed from to replant.
I really wanted to try it however the old timer in me just could't stand it i Had to cultivate them lol, they'll be more come back up though
I found you randomly and am happy I did, really enjoy seeing different ideas! Thank you for sharing your garden with us.
Meagan and Andy I live in ontario canada 🇨🇦 and I always have volunteer tomatoes every year you would think with -45 temperatures throughout the winter they would come back last year I had over 50 come up
Wow you’re going to have tomatoes running out your ears
hello you both happy anniversary 11 years just had mine too was 32 years you make a great team keep it up guys never forget how important it is to be friends too
You are surely blessed for all your hard work! You’d better rest up best you can. You are gonna be hoppin’ when that harvest starts coming in!
Happy anniversary! You two are so cute how you are with each other. May the Lord bless you with many more years of happiness.
Happy Anniversary...Happy Mothers Day...Happy Growing 💯
For slugs, I bought copper rings to encircle my cabbage for this year (from a great & popular Scottish youtube channel "In the Garden w Eli & Kate"). My neighbor put Diatomaceous earth on my cabbages a couple times to reduce them.
If you have the gumption to go out at nite with a flashlight, you'll see all the slugs. God bless your family and garden
Need a flash light to shine on the leafs
Me and Bill want to wish y'all a Happy belated Anniversary! Pulling weeds on your anniversary sounds like something we'd be doing on ours. 😂😂 Wishing y'all well! God bless!
Happy anniversary 😊 always appreciate y'all sharing such a wonderful story 🙏 God bless this wonderful family 🙏
New subscriber, so glad I came across your channel! Easy and relaxing viewing. Happy Anniversary 💍💍
Good morning, your garden is beautiful. I have so many volunteer tomatoes,, it makes me happy!!!!
I recovered nine tomato seedlings from compost pile. Looks to be large red cherry, variety I plant annually
That rain did soooooo much good for you folks on the gardens, looking great and getting with the program for sure. Hope you can get the tater bugs under control PDQ. The pigs were offering their help to pick them strawberries for sure. Got the new greenhouse getting it's work time in already, looks great with the shelving in there. Thanks for sharing with us keep safe and have fun . Fred.
Good morning from Appalachian Kentucky. Happy Anniversary. Greenhouse ideas are endless. Have an awesome weekend. Much Love.
Here is a quick trick for Japanese beetles. Get some of those yellow milk jugs and tie them to a post through the handle. About three inches from the bottom drill some 1/4 to 3/8 inch holes. Get some cherry extract and mix it with water and put an inch or two in the jug. The color of the jug pulls them in, and the cherry smell makes them crawl in the whole and drown. It won't catch them all, but it'll put a dent in them.
I really like your hot house .You could grow all your herbs in it, or flowers.
Those tomatoes said, " We want to LIVE!! 😆
Let some of them grow and keep the seeds from them for next year. Those are the fittest tomatoes and have adapted to your local environment.
My other half loves your channel so we gonna Subscribe to you. We just down here in Texas and she does the gardening.
WHAT DID. YOU. DO FOR POTATO BUGS. MAYBE GOOGLE IT. ITS OFTEN A GREAT RESOURCE.I LOVE STRAWBERRIES. OMG. WARM BISCUIT AND STRAWBERRY SHORT CAKE WHIP CREAM. YUM. BLUE BERRIES HEALTHY. BLACK BERRIES CAN TAKEOVER YOUR YARD
we ended up using spinosad
I’ve never seen anyone be more genuinely excited about a garden than you two! You can hear the passion in your voices! What a great life!
I read for slugs use some Epsom salt
My garden is growing like crazy this year. My tomatoes are already over 2 foot tall this year.

absolutely
Congratulations on your Anniversary. My wife and I Celebrated 46 on 5-6. Our wedding day was 5-6-78
Happy anniversary. Just celebrated 30 with my honey on January 31st 2024
Happy anniversary!! Ours was last Friday, May 3rd. Hope you are blessed with MANY more. Love your greenhouse, that's a great investment and you're going to love it. Happy Mothers Day " boss lady" 😄
Happy Anniversary Andy & Meagan!🥳👫💘
The greenhouse shelves are lookinggreat & Andy couldn't wait to start some seeds! I like how you left some space inside too. Maybe add a couple of gutters & a rain barrel for watering the starts/plants.
Happy Mother's Day to you Meagan!
When we bought our land, 64 acres of grazing fields, crop fields, woods, and a section for us to build our house; there were SO MANY ROCKS! Whenever we worked on the yard, if any of our 4 children had done something that required a punishment, we had them fill a wheel barrel with rocks. Usually, my husband and I were out there picking up rocks, with them. Your field reminds me of many of the smaller rocks. But we also had slabs of rocks, that we built retaining walls on both sides of our walk out basement. We decided to look at it as a positive, because people pay $$$ for rocks like we kept finding in our yard!
Happy Anniversary to you guys ,And Happy 70th birthday to me. Just finished planting 50 strawberry plants. Good way to sellabrate go play in the durt . 😊
Love your videos, Happy anniversary 🎉. So glad y'all got rain, everything looks wonderful.
Awww! Happy Eleventh Wedding Anniversary!! I thought the 11th anniversary was a Steel gift, but a Potato gift may be more romantic! 🤣 Your gardens are looking good! Best of luck with the potato bugs! You’ll have to remove the adult bugs and spray for the larva and eggs so they don’t hatch. Ugh! It isn’t easy to get rid of them. A cover over the plants before they grow next year will help.
Happy Anniversary 🎉🎉Oh Megan I love your shirt.. I have one just like it!!!😎 Greenhouse is gonna be very functional the way you set it up!!
Hello from South Georgia Danny here thank God for rain ☔
Happy Anniversary to you two just started watching your videos enjoying them very much watching from southern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Hello from Nova Scotia. I e got lettuce and brassicas growing right now, be 3/4 weeks before I can put out my tomatoes and squash. Everything is looking lovely 🌱
Happy Anniversary! I love that you are so excited over your little greenhouse. I don't have room for one even that big but love watching you enjoy it. I've grown the Mexican sour gerkins aka cucamelons, several years. They're small, crisp and taste like a cucumber/lemon mix. My 8 year old loves them! Oh, and they're a bear to get started but once they do they grow fast!
Happy Anniversary!!! I love all that you do! ( I love hearing the kids in the background!) The greenhouse is awesome and the shelves should work out great! Might need a little vertical bracing later where the two sections meet? Enjoy those beautiful strawberries!🍓
HaPpY Anniversary guys! Keep the videos coming…we love them and we learn so much!
hey yall, lookin great!! the #1 thing thriving down here in Texas is Mosquitos! lol Happy anniversary! cool!
First off Happy Anniversary.. Second what I have heard about the bugs and worms on your vegetables have you ever tried taking a small stick like a paint stirring stick or a wooden ruler and covering it with axle grease and putting that next to your plants. I've heard the bugs will climb on the stick and get stuck to the grease. And you can just get rid of the board when you want. Enjoy your videos Good Luck with your garden
Happy Anniversary! You definitely have potato bug larve!
Happy Anniversary! The leaves from broccoli make excellent greens.
It's amazing how much we still depend on the weather! It literally rained here in southern WV 11 of 12 days through Saturday. Five or six inches of rain. The rain was fairly light and intermittent Saturday so I set tomato plants. It's still too wet to plant beans and corn and the rain is due back tomorrow. Last spring wasn't this way and I had a great garden. But it does actually seem to be the norm here the last few years. Good luck to y'all. Tough when all that work doesn't pay off!
Happy Anniversary to you both 💕 Garden is looking good, brings back lots of memories of my Daddy.
Happy anniversary! Congratulations on the greenhouse. It looks great! Just a quick word about using hardware cloth on those shelves, though. I did exactly what you’re talking about doing in my own greenhouse and I don’t enjoy the hardware cloth at all. It bends between the supports and it’s hard to keep things level on top of it. I really wish I had used wood slats with spaces in between to let water through. Hopefully yours will work out better but I wouldn’t do it again given the choice.
Ever bearing is rough and seedie Ugh you do not go that direction it’s bad move I am farmer I te you when I hear I am going to write you beautjf Leo’s best pray gir me I had bad falll pray ❤🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
It's looking good..I got flea beetles already on my eggplants..wanted to insecticide on,but I knew it was going to rain..keep vigilant ,blessed and safe🙏🙏
Oh Andy...that southpaw handicap...im sorry bud....lol
Could you throw some Diatomaceous Earth on the potatoes. I’ve been using it everywhere.
I love to watch you both!!!
I’m from Kentucky so I’m glad those Ky beans came up!!!
Happy Anniversary! I love the new greenhouse. That's about the size I want too.
One day soon I'll have my garden back looking full but can't because of all this rain we've been having i think in the past months we've only had a few days of no rain , garden is to muddy to work and before the rain we had freezing temperatures, maybe ill have to wait till next year, but y'all's gardens look great, I'm in my own little world when I'm working in my garden. Larry
Happy Anniversary! I love your Greenhouse! That is definitely on my wish list. I planted blackberry bushes last year and this will be my first year to get some. I love to see the blooms all over them. I didn't have a good place to plant strawberries, and I definitely didn't want them on the ground where I would have to search for them because we seem to have a lot of garden snakes and I don't want that surprise. I found a metal raised bed that we put together last night. Getting the soil today and I have strawberry plants to plant in it. So excited!!
Happy Anniversary to you both
I love watching your videos
Happy Anniversary. My husband and I’s anniversary is on the 18th of this month.

Leaf’s I put tons in’s but they have acids I learned VTOL’s many will bother the growth really too water melon foam plates turned up side put melon in and keeps them from tasting like dirt and rotting try pick a hood sweet watermelon look at ends if yellows be so sweet I wait on hearing back
Happy anniversary! LOVE the greenhouse!
Wouldn't Diamatacious Earth dust take care of the bugs? It's non toxic and organic and the only thing is that you shouldn't breathe it.
Have a great Mother’s Day 🌸 🌸🌹and good morning from Oregon
The birds ate all my corn seed . I think I’m gonna put my wind
chime in my garden lol its kinda loud . Maybe everything else will come up before they get that to.
Need some Sluggo for the Rollie pollies. They will destroy strawberries and your seedlings.
Megan love your place beautiful love it okay 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💐💐❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
Happy Anniversary I enjoy watching your channel
On y’all’s grape vine. I’ve been told what happens in that situation those first year or so you may not see lots of new growth above ground but the plant, tree or vine is getting a good base with the roots. Obviously can’t go without roots. Never put thought into that much but I’ve seen it happen more than once. Cut it down, just get over it thinking it’s a lost cause then all a sudden it’s like the vine says hello, I’m trying to grow here ! Lol. Hope your grapes arrive soon so y’all can enjoy
Andy if those unknown bugs are square…they are kudzu beetles.
I really enjoy watching your videos y’all seem like some good folks!
Happy Anniversary. Love watching!
If you have some plexiglass you can pull from somewhere, and drill some holes in it for drainage
Happy anniversary and happy Mother’s Day Magen! Love your channel
You two ar some hard working folks and raising 2 youngens awsome love following you on the farm 😅😅😅
Happy Anniversary . Time dies fly. Enjoy.
Everything looks great. Y’all r impressive ❤
My husband always got the liquid seven spray and that’s what he sprayed our garden with and maybe some seven dust I hope that y’all can find something to put on them
Be glad that you don’t have gumbo dirt that stuff won’t hardly fall off it’s so thick and when it dries it’s like concrete it’s so hard
Happy Anniversary! God bless!🎉❤❤
Hey happy Eleven yr. Anniversary 😅😅 my how time flys when your having fun lol
Hi Andy and Megan
We use spinosad spray on our potatoes it is labeled for organic growing, and you would not believe how well it works on the potato beetles. It kills adults and larvae.
We have to spray two or three times a season as needed.
I’d love a list of everything your growing and the varieties you’ve chosen…
Love watching yall love your new greenhouse if you do decide to have baskets in your greenhouse you can always have hangers coming down from the top of your greenhouse also you mentioned slugs on your cabbage earlier I know that on my strawberries we use pine needles to spread around maybe that could help on your cabbage yall have a blessed day
We always dusted our potatoes with lime when I was a kid and it didn’t put any chemicals in the ground it was actually good for the ground
Happy Anniversary to you Megan and Andy I hope you have many many more years together
That bug you asked about, I can't be sure but that first one looked like ladybug larva.
Hello yall I just watched your video about the tater bugs. They're in the early stage, but they grow fast. I've growed taters all my life here in North GA. The best spray for killing those devils is spinosad. It's cheap and it works. I've tried everything else and this is the best and safest. Just thought I'd let you know. Have a good day
..that is one happy daddy in a hot house..😅😅..happy mothers day....🤎..
I remember when I was little Dad and I would walk down the tater rows with a can that had gas in it and pick off the bugs and drop em in the can.....
I seen a video the other day a guy had his table built with hardware clothe with another shelf under it with a tote to catch the extra dirt when he was filling trays. Was pretty slick.
you can always build another shelve above the ones you just built also. Looks good y'all
