Should you take a motorcycle trip or a cruise vacation? Motorcycle vacations or hiking journeys are not always sunshine and smooth pathways, so why do many people turn to these adventurous vacations? This is the topic I explored on my motorcycle journey.
I took a solo adventure on my Triumph Bonneville SE on from New York City to the Adirondack mountain range (specifically the High Peaks region) and documented my solo motorcycle journey as I explored and camped in the High Peaks wilderness. The journey was full of road blocks, as trying to find remote dirt roads on the east coast is problematic due to the sale of public land to mining & gravel companies, as well as private land settled on many years ago. Regardless, the region is incredibly beautiful and features roads such as Whiteface Veterans' Memorial Highway, Route 73 through Keene Valley, and NY-86 along the Ausable river. On my way back to NYC, I stopped by Laconia's Motorcycle Week in New Hampshire to see some other custom motorcycles and ride with some friends.

Amazing video, beautiful shots, I enjoyed it a lot. The dream of having such a trip on my own is alive again. Thanks for sharing. 😉
Thanks brother!
@@ChrisIronhardt what is the music named you use in this video?
The first thing that came to my mind after seeing this film is a 2008 movie called 'One Week'. I'd highly recommend that movie to anyone who likes contents like this. BTW, well done Chris you have earned a new subscriber
Thanks Sonu! I’ve never seen One Week but will have to check it out.
I just watched One Week because of your comment. THANK YOU! I likely never would have discovered the movie otherwise. It's a movie that will stick with me for a long, long time....................and I'll probably watch again after my memory fades a little.
My all time favourite movie. Touring Canada. Gord Downie in a scene playing a man with cancer. I’ve watched it 10 times. The full movie is actually on UA-cam.
The words, the narration make this video ever so special..!! Keep up the great work..!!
The day after I retired years ago, I drove my bike from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Jacksonville, Florida to Nashville, up to Ontario then back home. About 9,500 kms over 32 days. On day 2, I was curled up under an overpass in the US waiting out a torrential rain thinking “this is nuts”. I kept going anyway. You’ve explained why I continued in a way I never could.
Words just can't describe this fascinating Masterpiece ♥ Keep up bro
Life ...... is beaufull life , running in you , running in me !!!!
You are an inspiration! So simple and so eloquent. Thank you for giving.
Thanks Mark!
In the world of 10 second reels, this video felt like such a breeze.. could watch this for hours.. Bonnie owner here.. looking forward to similar trips.. I've been to shorter rides in the NYC area (Seven Lakes Drive etc)
Thanks! I appreciate this comment - 10 second reels are my enemy.

Thanks! I’m hoping to get back to the Adirondacks or over to the Finger Lakes this summer for a motorcycle trip.
WOOOOOOOW Amaazing!!!
Awesome and full of inspiration. Enjoyed the videos you've done. Well thought out, shot and narrated. Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance in a UA-cam video. Keep it coming - and come to the UK!
I thought of that book as well.
Words are soooooo touching..

Nice video buddy..love from India... carry on
Awesome 🤟
Hot damn! This is what I need daily.... ❤
great riding !! I like relaxed riding by Triumph Bikes ! I'm owner of a 2020 Street Twin !!
Cheers! Love the street twin
Great video. Reminded me of the great Woody Guthrie’s famous song “This Land Was Made For You and Me” and it’s seldom heard 4th verse:
“As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there
And that sign said "No trespassin'"
But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin!
Now that side was made for you and me!”
I cannot comprehend how much effort and retakes it must have required to get the scenic views while riding. The passion is clearly visible. Ride safe, mate. ;)
Cheers brother! A lot of effort to set up the shots - but I enjoy the process.
Epic!
Nice video
i absolutely respects and resonates with your thoughts. Liked. Subscribed. From India.
Cheers thanks Vikas
Can you please make a video on how you make such masterpiece, please. I love this.
Mt Washington is an amazing ride, especially to the peak. Wish I had more time to ride NH roads. Love the narration
Cheers - thanks brother. NH is one of my favorite spots to ride - the Kanc + Bear Notch Road. I road up Mt. Washington in a car when I was younger - haven’t done it on 2 wheels though
We were a mere 5 minutes too late when we got to the gate of Mt Washington. I knew at that moment I was probably never have the chance to ride it again.
Those drone shots are money, I cannot wait to visit the Adirondaks from Montreal Canada.
Cheers! Thanks Dan - love riding up in Canada
Ah! Now I see the bar end mirrors! 🙂
Your voice + the background guitar solo + the video =
Thanks Arka! Appreciate it
Hi, i like yours videos. It's simple and beautiful. Congrats from Brasil.
Thanks! How is riding a motorcycle in Brazil? Any top roads?
@@ChrisIronhardt Brazil has beautiful roads, one of most well known is called "Serra do Rio do Rastro", with many curve. Also have "BR 319" known as phantom road, that crosses forest amazon.
Keep Uploading Sir...
I have a few new videos coming in the next 2 months - stay tuned
Love you bro
Amazing video. Very cinematographic. One note of caution, you are not following best practices for building fires in the middle of the woods. You will start a forest fire at some point.
Love 💕
Great video! Makes me want to buy a bike and get back into riding.
Thanks! What made you get out of riding?
@@ChrisIronhardt sold my bike for my wife’s wedding ring and just haven’t bought another bike.
@@atpgarageatl a noble reason to sell the bike!
@@ChrisIronhardt Thank you. I'll have another one day. Thank you for the inspiring videos!
Chris, I just subscribed to your channel. What an inspiring video. I found it to be inspiring because I just started to ride my 1971 Honda CB500 through northern Michigan. Touring on a 50-year-old motorcycle is an adventure all by itself, but that's what it was designed to do. I'm curious, what cameras and drones do you use? I currently only do still photography. Thanks and look forward to your next video.
Thanks Steven - for this video I used a Panasonic Lumix LX100, GoPro Hero 7, and DJI Mavic Air. Filming takes a bit more patience (having to set the camera, and then hop back on the bike and drive through the scene) - but is rewarding after it's all said and done... A 50-year motorcycle certainly sounds like any trip with it comes with a few unexpected surprises / challenges - but I would guess it's quite a very tactile experience.
100000000 THANK'S
Awesome, my friend. 😊✨ Nice upload thanks.👍 See you. 😁❤
Were you inspired by anyone on UA-cam? Your videos are incredibly well made
Chris, can I ask what road you are on in the beginning of the video? Love the video. Thanks for sharing.
For sure - it is Whiteface Memorial Highway
Inspiring stuff man. Please buy some protective boots !😬
Great vid, looks like it took a lot of work. What exhaust are you running?
Best
your Narration is too good. Very impressive vlog
Amazing video and trip. Can you share your route?
