Not many artists continue to be creatively potent into there 60's and beyond. McCartney is no exception. Though, his song Valentine on his Standards album is a beautiful song. But, I wouldn't call this song sweet. Wistful, haunting and beautiful, or maybe sweet sorrow, to borrow a phrase.

I think its a failing of society itself really, having love leave your life when age comes to you.
