Not having a clear view of the climate control mini screen is mitigated by simply pressing the '+' button on the corner of the screen. This opens the climate controls on the large screen. Plus, there are also physical buttons for the main climate controls. I think these should have been mentioned when pointing out the 'negative' aspect of the CC screen. I do agree however that the touch buttons beneath the screen will be fraught with oopses!
Considering the air variant is the one being reviewed due to availability, some more things about the ev5 which I’ve not seen mentioned in reviews: No privacy glass for rear windows. No heated steering wheel. No auto up/down windows for rear. No driver profiles you can save. No heater for second row seats.
Oh for pity's sake. Why are all UA-cam reviewers so fixated about the position of the HVAC screen? Just precisely how many times during a drive does anyone change any of those settings? Third world problem, with a work around instantly available.
Well no heatpump is no sale, sorry Kia. They need to pull their finger out like Hyundai did, my new 2024 Kona has a heatpump and it's amazing having had the OG 28kWh Ioniq before it which didn't.
@@NeeravBhatt Not just Tassie, Victoria, NSW and even helpful in hot climates it's about efficiency remember and an EV needs to be efficient not having a heatpump is lunacy and that is anywhere in the world.

@@mashoook correct. The Air spec is aimed at corporate fleet work use buyers who aren't interested in those things especially 2nd row stuff

Your viewpoint is understandable , in Tassie a heat pump is must have
Exactly. Not worth buying

Watching from NZ, I have the pre-release brochure in front of me and it specifically says the Earth Long Range and GT Line have a Heat Pump.
