If they ever have a BloodRayne 3, they should use the mechanics of his game as a prototype model, because it is pretty stable with perhaps room for doable improvements like with parkour and melee.
The combat in this game isn’t that good but I do see the potential it has. I like the idea of it but it was the execution that was poor. My main complaints about the combat is 1, Rayne feels too weak. 2, the combat seems to be more handled with 1v1 or 1v2 not fighting 6 different people at once. 3, and this is also goes into gameplay and progressing through the levels. I feel like there are way too many areas where you have to use the harpoon and throw someone with it for something to break and move on to the next area. It’s overused and plus it slows down the gameplay too much.
Makes me realize why this game had shitty ratings… some snob reviewer probably thought the game was in poor taste even tho it’s actually beyond underrated and amazing!!! I just found another gem on ps2 called blood ninja. The blood and gore is almost on the same level
Love hearing the voice of Laura Bailey as of Rayne on BloodRayne. She kicks ass. Love Rayne on BloodRayne for kicking some ass on the Game. It's awesome and cool. Love the game.
Best game on ps2. When it came out i went through 3 copies cuz they were bugged until i got a working copy. Have had it ever since and have had it repaired multiple times.
@@hanz9662 also severin's voice actor is troy baker, which is even funnier when you think that he and laura bailey have been the voices of a game's main characters in two seperate occasions (bloodrayne 2 AND tales from the borderlands)
I played and beat this game multiple times when it first came out. I’m a huge fan of TLOU also. What’s funny is that for some reason, Abby’s voice always seemed so familiar to me. Laura Bailey is awesome!
Gotta agree with Boris here. BloodRayne 2 is a fun game and oozes personality, dated early 2000s edgy personality but if you were there, it was a lot of fun to take in at the time. But is the game hard? Not at all. Compared to the first game? Definitely not. And compared to a game like Devil May Cry 3 that was out around the same time, it's a lot more forgiving lol.
With the just announced revamp on ps4 of bld1 and 2, i wish they were remakes to make them into a modern quality standards game more. Not sure if theres enough ketchup lol.
the way BloodRayne 2 ended it should be a 3. i loved this game. both actually. someone else should get a-hold to this game franchise and continue it on the new gen consoles and make it open world and multiplayer and bring back mynce from BR1. its alot they can continue and do with this game but hey im just a gamer...
How good it would be if they do a remastering of this game. It is very good. I hope that I doubt they will do it, because it would be very good if before the graphics for the ps2 were WOW! it must be for the ps5 XD Greetings from Argentina
Pretty sure it's not gonna happen, the developer, Terminal Reality closed down it's offices in 2013 and I doubt there'd be a big enough demand for a single player game like this to warrant investment and development. But I dunno, throw some loot boxes in there and multiplayer, open-world crafting and base building for the kids and we may just yet get Blood-Rayne Online.
One of the games I've played and it's become my favorite game, even though I've never played the game because it's prohibited by the person who owns the PS2 rental, he said it's a game specifically for 18+ kids 😂😂
I believe they are the latter. They are Ephemera's turned vampires who work under her control which is why they dress similar to her. Whether they were hoping they would become Shadow Legion? I can't remember but I can see it. But yeah the cool thing about the main villains in this is that their turned vampires take on traits similar to them so you know who's under whose influence like you have the "bondage ninja" & Shadow Legion under Ephemera's influence and the punk looking enemies that have spikes protruding from their backs and tattoos are Ferril's turned minions.
Are you referring to the Kestrels? They are dhampir like Rayne. But for sure not related to Rayne directly. Also, sorry for commenting on a 3 year old comment. Lol
I played Part 1, but only with cheats, without I kinda sucked against the evil hordes of nasty Nazis... didn't save them though! Never played Part 2, here in Germany it's one of those games that are seriously cencored (no blood & gore), no joy... 😅
Get the newer GOG Terminal Cut (Bloodrayne 1 & 2) it's fantastic. Shame they're unable to do the same for Nocturne. Silent Hill 4 was also given a GOG release.
IMO, the sequel had better combat flow, it felt comfortable playing as Rayne fighting the enemies, you felt in control the most time and there was next to know lag input. The only thing I prefer more with the first game is that I enjoyed the darker settings with the Louisiana Bayou and the German Castles & Outskirts compared to the urban city sprawl that we mostly stuck in with the sequel. I also preferred how Rayne moved in the first game, she moved with such agility, she ran a lot faster in the first game and she could jump really high as well which made you feel like you were playing as an actual vampire compared to how she controls in the sequel which is a lot more slowed own with minimal high jumping. So choosing which one is better? It's hard because both games had their strengths and weaknesses.
As someone who really likes this game, I have to disagree that when you compare it to the complexity that Devil May Cry had (Devil May Cry was out around the time this one was), Bloodrayne's combat system was a lot less refined and intricate. Still a fun game but I don't know if I would say it "kicked" DMC's ass.
@@decadentgamer3108 DMC is extremely overrated series. Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden are way better. Even Ninja Gaiden 3 RE, which is basically the worst in NG trilogy is way more enjoyable than any DMC game. And yeah, Bloodrayne 2 is definitely better than DMC 2 and DMC reboot.
