You are so right about the checkpoint! That thing is so off balance always falls over, its a great size, but you aways need to make sure it's leaning on something or it'll fall over. Kinda wish I never bought the thing.
Thank you for showing me the sling bag I'm buying I'm an avid bike rider and I've been looking for a perfect sling one that can hold everything and a water bottle and not be too bulky this with the added benefit of a hidden fixed blade is perfect because now I don't necessarily have to carry a pocket knife which isn't necessarily concealed everywhere I go
I have spent so much money on Vertx gear. I love love love their stuff. Clothes, bags and accessories it’s just good quality gear. Just bought a discounted Gamut 2.0 that’ll be my new “diaper” bag. A diaper bag that will also carry a firearm in its hidden compartment. What else can you ask for to defend your family! I’ve been using a Ready pack 2.0 for my edc bag that stays in the car and a SOCP Fanny pack that I’m not 100% convinced about. Only had it for a week. Once the holster comes perhaps I’ll feel better about it.
When I first saw it, I thought the SOCP might make a good trauma kit bag, but I think the compartments are too hard to access in an emergency for that, plus it would have limited capacity.
I have to say I did look at all those bags! Very nice and I can see the quality. I almost went for the 85L duffel .. LOL After 50 some years on cycles you learn to pack well .. I still use a set of canvas waterproof compression bags I bought over 30 years ago and they are still perfect! Trouble is the maker of the bags has long gone out of business .. the Vertx bags would be nice replacements to be sure.
Rocking the Vertx Defiance jeans at the moment ... Vertx Commuter Sling is my off body carry option ... great products & I just placed a new order today w/Trayvax (using Talon’s code of course) ... great gear I found thanks to your channel ....
Travax is pretty awesome, really. Great quality products, and they stand behind their stuff. The business model attracted me, quality and service kept me here. Good luck!
So if you’re into backpacks on the king at research. Check out the Osprey Tropos. It stands up on its own when you put it down which is awesome. A ton of organizational pockets etc. Awesome frame and very breathable. Your back doesn’t sweat. Best backpack I’ve ever owned and I have like 10 of them.
Been watching your vids for years at this point and always thought vertx bags were cool but unnecessary and way too expensive, just like premium holster companies. In the last 3 years I've done well and been able to buy nice things for edc vertx bag being the most recent one and the one that I was the most shocked at how much I love it. Talon Sai is the reason I bought a holster from tier 1 concealed, bag from vertx and knives from blade hq. Not to mention neat edc stuff from trayvax. Poor isn't permanent, poor doesn't have to stay the predominant frame of mind. Good tools are worth the extra cheddar especially when they could be what your life depends on.
I’ve been carrying the checkpoint for two years with the Premier Panel in it. The bag Seems to be getting out of shape more and more as time goes on.Wish I would’ve bought a different bag but can’t afford to spend that kind of money again so I’m stuck with it.
Talon you have convinced me on the gamit style bag (along with LLOD and others) Plan on getting it sometime in the future when I can afford it:) Keep up the good work
for the slot that allows you to put in the SOCP dagger, is it only one direction where it goes in and you can't place it through the other side if you wanna draw it from the other side?
Question on the first bag. How tall is it? I'm looking for a bag that will accommodate a 21 inch...nerf gun. This nerf gun is shaped a lot like the Daniel Defense DDM5 PDW. Would that bag work for me?
Hey Talon! Another killer video! Love your content! Just got the new Vertx Tourist Sling Bag in Multicam Black. I love it! It’s just the right size for most as a true “EDC” option. Check it out if you haven’t. Also, would love to see a video with your thoughts on it if you do. Thanks brother! Stay safe, and keep up the good work!
I leave this under every video I watched, it helps the algorithm..
Can you also do it with my videos:)

Love vertx. Thanks to you and your code I got the ready pack 2.0🔥💪🏻
I have been a big fan of Maxpedition bags, but I certainly will check out these Vertx bags.
That toiletry bag may be a winner...
You and colion noir need another edc!! Perfect timing it’s summertime and the worlds opening back up.
VertX always makes really high quality gear, they think about all kinds of things that people might need.
Can you do an updated edc but talk about what it's been like to carry as you travel through different states with different laws?
I use the Gamut Overland, 85L Contingency Duffel, and the Contingency Outbound!
I also got a SOCP Sling too and have been using it as a small IFAK
I need a large version of the edc ready. Best layout ever.
Just picked up a Gamut 2.0. Haven't had a chance to really use it yet, but seems very well built and I like the features.
Talon does a backpack review, very nonchalantly pulls out a Q Honey Badger! Gotta love a gear guy. Ha ha.
You are the one that convinced me to try Vertx Talon. Still in love with my EDC ready pack in Black multicam!
Glad to hear it 👍🏻

The real question is what kind of socks do you wear? I love the DarnTough socks
Currently wearing vertx lightweight socks too. Just got em a few weeks ago but they are awesome
Darn Tough are the best.

I love my Checkpoint. I also discovered that the Overland will hold my DP-12. Talk about concealed carry!
I own three vortex bags and love them including the contingency and Gamut

How would you run a single point sling and a bladder on the Commuter Xl 2.0 ? Could you do a quick video on your set up ?
Just used ur code an got 4 bags! Thanks man an great review!!!!🤘🏽🤘🏽
Could you go over how you use your iPad in your workflow? Always been curious! Great video!
I can probably do that. I only really use it for photos and thumbnails
Talon you have convinced me on the gamit style bag (along with LLOD and others) Plan on getting it sometime in the future when I can afford it:)
Keep up the good work
Excellent video 👍. A very comprehensive and informative video.👍
Vertex is the sh!t. I have their large range bag, and supports four handguns with no issue. The 25% is friggin awesome too. Thanks man!
The SOCP is definitely for SOF or Intelligence teams running ATAC and covert work
Badass. Now which one should I get next..... hmm
Been wondering about that hoodie for a few episodes now haha.
for the slot that allows you to put in the SOCP dagger, is it only one direction where it goes in and you can't place it through the other side if you wanna draw it from the other side?
Would you say the hoodie is a true to size or do you need to size up to have it a little baggy? Is the SOCP sling and hoodie made in the US?
Hey Talon, could you provide a link to the foam pad you used in the overland? I just picked an overland and I want to borrow your idea.
I will get another vertx bag soon enough. Got the range heavy bag it’s amazing quality

$.04 wisely buddy!
I tried the vertix gamut because of ur recommendation but unfortunately it didn’t quite work for me. Stuck with the falcon ii
If you had to choose between the gamut and the ready pack which would you pick, only one for edc use?
Right now probably the gamut between those 2. I have been using the overland and it’s awesome
Thanks for the Discount code! You saved me $42.
What are the dimensions of the the outbound kit?

Yep
I did buy a vertex bag and it’s awesome
Would you recommend the sling as a possible way for runners/joggers/hikers to carry?
For sure. As long as you will be comfortable running with weight on just one shoulder
That zipper on the sweatshirt would have been perfect for me when I was in high school...
🤔🤔😂
Love ur vids dude
Btw where do you do laundry when traveling?
SOCP perfect if you are running a trail in Utah :-)
Thinking about any on-road EDC update? Or is that for when you get back home?
Nothing has changed since my last update.

Slightly

3 to 4 weeks of clothes in that bag? I gotta disagree. You don't have 21+ pairs of underwear in there.....
