- The Vertx Overlander is a large 45 liter pack that is designed as a bridge between the smaller EDC packs Vertx is known for and outdoor/hiking packs. While this pack still falls short of a true multi-day backpacking backpack, it is ideal for a SHTF scenario or get home/bugout to carry large loads more comfortably over long distances.

I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you and your channel. I came across you doing research for a video I wanted to do. On a truck first aid kit for landscaping professionals. I started building FAK. And figuring out what I don't have. Well today I cut my fingure really bad assembling some broad head arrow tips. I was using supplies I had just purchased to patch it up before going to the urgent care for six stiches. Without you and your channel I wouldn't have had the gauze wrap that I used.
Really considering this bag, can't wait to see your next video about it!
Let me know if u like it
I carry a Daniel Defense PDW in this exact bag absolutely everywhere I go. I own too many vertx bags, but this one and the gamut checkpoint are my definite favorite!
How has the checkpoint held up?
"It's specifically made for ccw" *Pulls out rifle*
Seems good to go.
Stay strapped or get clapped! 😂
specifically made for concealing a rifle. Like Jnco Jeans
That's why it's awesome.
What? Like you've never had trouble concealing your rifle before...
Waiting DESPERATELY for the follow up review!!!!!! I want to pull the trigger on this bag but I’m trying to be patient.
The locking zipper is nice if you have kids that’s the main reason I love it
Yes!!! I been waiting for someone ro do this !!!
Hoping that one day they'll come to the UK/EU market
Great review... Was definitely looking at this Overlander when it came out and the Gamut Overland (V2 packs) got price discounted. Like the all over Velcro loop fields inside. Always wish they could expand a bit deeper... Gamut 2.0 is very narrow/shallow.
Another application for the CCW section that can be locked, from a Medic/Rescue standpoint is you could velcro drugs down in there and Tag tie that section so as you know if it has been accessed and date the section for what ever is going out of date.
It's the giggle after "Heavy Loads" for me... lmao
They missed the mark huge. They need to go back to the drawing board if they think a pack this size is viable with a way to attach a sleep system to the bottom. No one who rucks/backpacks uses a bag this big without a sleep system. High quality bag without enough input from the right demo
Would love to see the update on this pack. I just ordered one but Im thinking its going to be too big for what I want to use it for. Fingers crossed though
How is it
What would you recommend as a true back country pack? I’m revising my get home bag and this bag has peaked my interest.
Great stuff! BTW, how can we support your channel so you can put out more of these quality videos? Do you have merch or a website by any chance?
Off topic… where should I go or what book should I get to get the best info on how to stitch someone up if necessary? Thanks…. New subscriber 👍🏻
Doesn't seem to have much beyond a regular backpacking pack except for the bit of molle. The lack of different torso length options means lots of people are going to find it uncomfortable to wear when carrying any decent amount of weight. Their website also doesnt mention the weight of the pack itself.
I didn’t weigh it but it has ALOT of fabric and is heavier then a true back country pack. That and the lack of sizing/a true frame is why I won’t use it for actual hiking beyond a large day pack or heavy loadout for EDC/car
What it has that a lot of other packs don’t is the ability to modify how you carry items and how fast things are accessible.
I am looking for a pack or some other storage device for a home fire-aid kit. Th mystery ranch looked good but the price was out of my budget. Any suggestions?
Thank for sharing. You are a wealth of knowledge and one of my new favorite channels.
Thx for the review. Will you do reviews for the new Gamut and the Basecamp as well? Too bad it’s really hard to get Vertx products in Germany…=/
Also wenn wirds leider sehr teuer, schade
That mustache has strong Chuck Norris vibes
I was thinking Garand Thumb 🤔
Still waiting on the long term review, bro!
Any way to attach gear to the bottom of the pack, such as bedroll, sleep system, or bulky items?
Thx!!
Nah
Can you legally conceal a sbr even with a permit ?
Any update to this bag how’s it hold weight for extended time how has it held up to your use
This backpack has drain water holes?
I purchased a Ready Pack 2.0 and was very quickly disappointed about how I cannot purchase the armor insert because I like in Connecticut.
Did you say the 11.5 fits in the CCW compartment or the main compartment? Or does it fit in both?
Any plan to review the Fieldcraft Survival range med kit?
My other VertX Packs are Tiger Stripe. Any chance this is available in Tiger Stripe?
Are the waist straps removable? I have a pistol in a Roni SBR kit as primary weapon, will it fit in the ccw compartment?
I asked before reaching the end of the vid. Nevermind.
@@DiegoAstorga seems answer is NO then? 2:48
Perfect greetings from czech 🙂
How heavy is this ?
Do a video about battlefield pain medicine plz
Would a 12.5” AR fit in the bag with a law folder?
I think so. My 11.5 fits fine.
sup medic. would u mind reviewing helikon-tex's medical pouch? thank you. love the channel brotha.
Any chance you could make a review/how YOU use it vid on tactigami? I've considered it for my Gamit 2.0 but it seems overpriced and sort of gimmicky (less effective than alternatives). Do you actually like it?
I like it for specific things. The pouches, mag holsters and GO stuff is great. Not a super big fan of the gun holsters, I would go with a Velcro backed kydex if you can in that regard.
@@PrepMedic Crossbreed Holsters also makes their Modular or Adjustable Retention Modular System (A.R.M.S.) Kydex + Velcro Holsters which work well on Velcro loop fields.
Get some.
God bless!
I would have watched longer but couldn't stop laughing at the mustache.
$300 no thanks but if I got one free like you do then sure
my man you look mad tired
Vertx is still chinese made garbage with substandard QC.
You know….. except for the fact it isn’t made in china….
