The 300 single is the exact same 250 block, and is in production - same size, same bolts, just stroked with a bit more torque and power. Obviously not what would take it to the next level, but a choice they could have made with their existing production. Word is there's a middle weight Africa Twin in the works, a 650 or more likely 750.

Obviously a 100% Enduro bike is going to be lighter but it will be shit to ride for longer distances, while the Rally fares better in that regard. Again, don't compare these two bikes. You can also go down to 150 kg by changing exhaust system and taking that ugly plastic license plate holder and replace with short one.
Zack overall this is a great detailed video thank you. But I was going to critique your overlap fast statements. I wish they were spread out more so I can admire your video footage. But since you did a last second review of the claw toenails of the guy in the truck at the end I will not complain. That small part had me laughing. Good Job.

Depende sa hilig mo. Kng gusto mo On the road long travel ka, go with Versys. Kng most of the time offroad ka (70% of the time) go Rally 250 ka. Mababa ang clearance ng Versys. Higher HP nga lang.

But I want to go up sana in a higher cc (400cc to 450cc sana) para pwede sa mga expressway natin (NLEX, SLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX, STAR TOLLWAY). I prefer dirt bike than a tourer (or what they are saying a dual sports/adventure bike). I prefer dirt bike because my purpose is to go to off-road country side; yung mga loolooban na mga kalsada na di pa develop at di pa asphaltado/ cementado; gaya sa Puray, Montalan at further beyond o gaya sa mga unpaved road going to the inner portion of Sierra Madre. But I will not go to the like of hardcore motocrosser, they are expert. My purpose is to see the inner beauty of nature that usual vehicle can't reach. Pls review one or what you may suggest. Thank you and more power to your channel.

The CRF250L borrowed the CBR250R engine. Honda already stroked that engine with their CBR300R - they should have made this the CRF300L Rally.
That might be interesting, I think the characteristics of the bike would change a bit, going from a single to a parallel twin and adding about 20kg.

Honda needs to cut this bike's weight. Xr400 weighs around 115-120, while this 250Rally is 157kg.. that's a lot

You can adjust the rear shock by disassembling the seat and adjust it at top. Very easy..;))
