Fun Fold Triangle Card

- It's been awhile since I have shared a fun fold card so I thought today was perfect to share this triangle fun fold card. Sometimes "fun folds" scare me because they seem complicated, or difficult. Maybe that is why I stay away from them. But I have been seeing a lot of this triangle fun fold card and I thought I would give it a try and figure out how to make it "quick and easy." And I think I accomplished my mission! It really is quick and easy and there really isn't much for measuring! I think you will agree and you will have fun making this greeting card as well!
For my card I am using the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper on page 37 of the Holiday Catalog. How did I miss this Stampin Up! DSP???? I just received it and oh la la.....GORGEOUS does not even describe it. Make sure to watch the video to see all the stunning beauty and shimmery look to this paper!

Fantastic Jackie. Loved the way you just made 2 score lines and 1 diagonal cut to make 2 cards - very clever and quick. Love all of your cards and of course the options are limitless. Love this one. Thanks for all the extra tips you give as well. Those papers are delicious!

This is a great card for me. Getting bored with the regular layout, so excited to see how easy this is. I know that paper is old, but guess what! I have been hording mine. haha I will try it soon using this paper. Thanks for all your video's, your talent is fantastic!

I saw this video a few months ago, finally had a chance to play with it. My cutter was a smidge too short for the diagonal card stock cut. I lined it up as close as I could and then finished with my craft scissors. It worked pretty good. Be careful when you cut your DSP, I cut the angle wrong on those a couple of times and had to redo them because the image was upside down , oops. I love the card idea. I used the new DSP Lovely Lilly Pad, they came out really cute. Also want to try them with the Forever Blossoms DSP. Both are Stampin Up papers
Just found your video. I think this would make great Halloween or Christmas cards. That's what I'm going to do with it is work on it with Halloween and Christmas paper.

I love the "quick and easy" of this card! I know it's from older papers, but I'm going to be using it with some of the DSP that I've (ashamed to say) I've been hoarding!!

I love the idea! I was able to score great, but mine did not cut correctly. I have a Fiskars trimmer, so that may be why. It's super sharp and cuts great, but for whatever reason, it's not cutting like yours. I'll keep trying and come back later, if I am able to make these lovely cards. As always, thank you so much for sharing! You make the prettiest cards. Thumbs up! :-) UPDATE: IT WORKED! I'm just getting old at 53, I guess! It was hard seeing the cutting line, but I did it, and it worked this time. Beth

Are the measurements in USA card sizes.
If so what would they be in uk size or can I just do the same cards using 12 x12 scrapbook card stock.

Can a sheet of cardstock be cut on the diagonal like this in the new trimmer?
Hi Jackie, tried to make this in cms. And when I try to cut diagonally both are not symmetrical. Any ideas?
The measurements don't work for UK cardstock, but can still make it work if I play with the scoring
So sorry; since I'm in the U.S. all of my measurements are in inches but you can certainly use an online converter.
How did you cut the oval? Where did you get it? Love the card!
They were Layering Oval Dies. A Stampin' Up! product that is now retired, but we do have different dies still available!
I don't have a demonstrator near me how can I get a catalogue.

Anyone now what size the ovals are? Also, if you use one sided patterned paper you have to cut them face down!!!
Well from the comments I'm the only dumb one. I have the two sided paper cut at 4 x 51/4 and cut the diagonally. My papers will not go on the cards if I use the two different sides. The work perfectly if I put the same design up on each card.
Sharon me too...it just does not work like in the video...you have to cut both designer papers on the same diagonally...Jackie switched them on the video....

You say this is fun and easy.!,,, I have just cut 6 pieces of paper and I can not get it to cut right or fit in my trimmer. Is there any other way to cut it?
