You know we have found that every operation is different in size and in techniques, if it works for you than that's great! Grow in a pace that is comfortable for you and manageable of course. Always make sure you give 100% into every hive. We appreciate you watching the channel! Thanks and drop us a comment if you have any questions 🤙
We do this - two pallets of honey - 6 drums. Put them 8" apart. Put the oil heater in a crack. Put some small fans to circulate air. Cover it by styrofoam box. Set a temperature for 110f. Pok the nidle thermometers through walls. After 2-3 days honey is liquid safety.
Things are getting easier nowadays. Back in the day I grafted about 500,000 (over 10-12 years) queen cells with an old filed down crochet needle. We also had to dip our own cells back then.
Kevin, We will once we get into the queen production season. Thanks for watching and don't forget to hit that subscribe button so you don't miss a beat!
We've found boiling used cell cups first in a lye based detergent found at Lowes ,and then again 2 follow up boils and 1 final rinse works best for reuse of cell cups.

My best wishes for your 2021. If you don’t get honey in Germany your year is very Bad because thats usually the main income. In california that is almonds, Right?
@@TheCaliforniaBeekeeper canola, linden, cherry, some apple and pear, Blackberry and if we are Lucky some wood. What are you honey sources? Oranges i guess? Is it True, that almonds is a weather Independent money source?
We have so many plants that CAN produce nectar but with the California wildfires, its challenging for the bees to make any honey. Almonds do depend alot on the weather in order to get proper pollination.

My best wishes for your 2021. If you don’t get honey in Germany your year is very Bad because thats usually the main income. In california that is almonds, Right?
Yes almonds. What type of honey is made in your area of Germany?
@@TheCaliforniaBeekeeper canola, linden, cherry, some apple and pear, Blackberry and if we are Lucky some wood. What are you honey sources? Oranges i guess? Is it True, that almonds is a weather Independent money source?
We have so many plants that CAN produce nectar but with the California wildfires, its challenging for the bees to make any honey. Almonds do depend alot on the weather in order to get proper pollination.
@@TheCaliforniaBeekeeper those fires are a tough thing -.- i wish you less for next season. Are the almond pays weather dependand?
When we rent our hives for pollination, we get paid regardless of weather conditions
Do you have different yards for certain Queens?
Yes. We do our best to regulate what drone stock is in our yards in certain queen mating yards in order to produce what we need.
Hey do y’all transfer brood eggs into the queen cells cups or do you try to graft larvae (3 days old or slightly less )?
We graft. Transferring eggs to a queenless colony is only done if we want them to develop a nature queen.
2.5 days is average for us to graft from
The California Beekeeper , it does work then to transfer eggs . I might try that to see if a queenless nuc will make queens from them .
Important to introduce new genetics from time to time. Let us know how it goes. Love to here about it
Do you sell and ship queens to hobbyist beekeepers? I know some operations prefer working exclusively with commercial buyers.
@CH Bees yes, we sell all quantities. Check out our website or shoot us an email uribehoneybees@gmail.com or www.uribehoneybees.com
@@TheCaliforniaBeekeeper Much appreciated, I'll contact you soon.
Sounds good. Thanks
What do you paint mini mating nuks with?
We used to roll them but found that using an airless sprayer works great and fast! We had alot to paint this year with the increase of production
How do you get the min frames drawn out
We hot glue cut foundation to the frame
May I ask what you use for a grafting table?
Nothing fancy, just a regular folding. We do have a custom made frame base to rest the grafting frame on.
