    I love how you explained body changes. I couldn’t express how I felt about my body changed without someone telling me not to shame myself. I’m not! I’m observing and having normal feelings about new big changes in my body

    Oh the lack of motivation! I went from marathon training, great morning/daily routine, feeling sharp and smart and excited ... to fatigue, depression, no motivation, nausea.... pregnancy is humbling!
    Btw I’m so excited for you! Thank you for all your FAM stuff. Changed my body and my life ;) and I’m expecting as well. 22 weeks 😃 yay!

    If she doesn’t get more famous after her baby is born I’m really going to question the sanity of people. She is awesome, and being a mom will really broaden her platform!

    I loved your video! I was literally laughing out loud at a lot of what you said because it’s true! I’m only 17 weeks right now, but already I’ve started peeing more and crying more. I’m the same as you in terms of I hate crying in front of people and showing my negative emotions so I totally feel you.
    The other day I was crying in front of my husband and I was just upset over something that wasn’t that big of a deal and I was just like, “I can’t help it! I just can’t stop crying!” Which made me cry more. Lol I find myself getting easily frustrated over small things that shouldn’t bother me that much.

    Thank you for your content!! ❤️ My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage a few weeks ago. I still watch all of your pregnancy videos because you talk about miscarriage in most of them and how you've moved on in this pregnancy. Thank you most people simply don't talk about it.
    Also, I really REALLY hope you post a video on your compost bin (bucket?) project. I'd love to see how you do it!

    Love this video so much lady! I think you’re ABSOLUTELY allowed to feel however you want about your growing and changing body. I felt the same way with my first successful pregnancy (first pregnancy ended in early miscarriage). I loved my bump but was insecure and not overly comfortable with the extra weight I gained. I was 100 lbs when I got pregnant w my first kiddo, weighed 145 by the time he was born. Doesn’t matter if you’re tiny, doesn’t matter at ALL- you are allowed to feel however you feel about your body. And for someone bigger to say “you’re not allowed to be insecure/body shame yourself because how do you think bigger people feel??” Like ok everyone is allowed to feel how they want about their bodies. I hate the comments about smaller or skinny people not being allowed to be insecure about gaining weight or being skinny. The people saying this stuff is the epitome of body shaming in itself. You’re allowed to feel however you feel. Your feelings are valid. Being skinny doesn’t invalidate body insecurities or mental blocks with gaining weight. You can love pregnancy but hate different things about it or not be totally comfortable with certain aspects. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise mama! 💖

    The part of being overly emotional is going to stay for a while 🙈 I am 9 months postpartum now and I'm still crying over everything! Song about family on the radio? I cry! Ill child in a movie? I die crying! Baby screaming somewhere in a supermarket? I have to hold back tears!
    I always thought I was a really sensitive person anyways, but now I'm a emotional mess all around the clock 🤪

    I'm about as pregnant now as you were back here. I fully believe it's all worth it, but it's rough.
    You kinda get used to it and some things go away, but it's far from easy.
    1. trimester: like constant pms - moody, depressed, bloated, no libido whatsoever... for a brief time I was nauseous, I had back pain for some reason, the exhaustion (I was out of breath more than now in the 3rd) and constant fear of losing the baby because either the pain was in my side or in the middle. Always something...
    2. was ok for a while, most of my symptoms went away and I could tell people - yay! BUT... Then I got covid and had a few covid symptoms to deal with xD but it was over in a week (the loss of smell and taste being the most annoying) A few weeks after I started getting stress headaches paired with nosebleeds that wouldn't stop for hours, my belly hurt (turned out to be my bladder), my back still hurt, I couldn't lay on my back anymore and my self esteem was utter ****, I felt fat... And I was constantly dizzy and lightheaded.
    3. nearing and during the third - my hips hurt if I lay on one side too long, can't sleep through the night, the exhaustion is back, my brain fog is terrible, she loves kicking my ligaments and ribs and I'm swelling now... My heat tolerance is none existant, my feet hurt when I walk and most of all I'm just really excited to meet her :D

    2 things I just didn't know or expect -1 the bump is really firm and changes shape depending on how the baby is laying! I dunno, I just didn't expect this. And 2 I have laughed like a crazy person this pregnancy! I expected to cry, and yes that's happened, but the hormones have also made it to where something that would have made me giggle previously now make me belly laugh for 5 minutes.

      I was amazed with all the different ways the baby can position itself inside. Before being pregnant I always just thought they were either head up or head down, but I swear this kid likes to lounge in my womb like it's a hammock haha.

    I'm the other way around: I'm not even TTC and I worry about miscarriage, and worse, I worry about not being able to conceive at all - but I've found that the solution for me is to think everything will work out and nothing bad will happen; hopefully that'll be enough.

    This video is so funny! The outcome of pregnancy is obviously great but for me the actual pregnancy part was crap! Exhaustion, nausea (no sickness) from start to finish, headaches throughout the whole pregnancy, pretty bad back ache too so no sleep when the freaking insomnia wasn't slowly making me crazy! 😩🙄 I had constant comments about how small my bump was which was extra annoying because my son stopped growing at 23 weeks and was born at 33 weeks so that was extra annoying! 😬
    Really good video, keep up the good work!

    I hated when people would say "get all the sleep now cause you wont get any for 18 years!". I had horrible sleep when pregnant. Having a newborn is way better! Yeah you get woken up a couple times but the sleep I do get is a much higher quality. I can finally get comfortable. I missed sleeping on my stomach so much. And the last couple month of pregnancy my hips hurt so bad and laying on my back made my acid reflux horrible. I'll take a cuddly newborn any day!

    • @FemmeHead

      I can't wait to just plop down on my stomach again. I was a total stomach sleeper before getting pregnant. And I'm excited to say goodbye to the aches and pains of the end of pregnancy haha.

    I seriously laughed so hard at the Home Depot part. I'm in the process of renovating my house and I'm now twenty seven weeks pregnant. My boyfriend and I were going into the tiling section and he ran to the restroom really quick so I'm standing there with a cart full of like a hundred tiles, mortar, grout and some supplies and I got the strangest looks. I really couldn't figure out why at the time... So funny.
    Edit: YES to everything... I'm not upset or happy with the weight I'm gaining. I haven't ballooned an unhealthy amount, but everything is getting wider and I started out my pregnancy about twenty to thirty pounds overweight and I haven't gained an unhealthy amount according to my midwife. Sometimes I feel perfectly content about it and then other days I feel like a fat cow and I don't enjoy the stretch marks that I'm prone too :[ But they will go away.
    The acid reflux........... and the stamina and having to work slightly less hard and aggressive has been SO hard for me.

    Insecurities don't go away just because you're growing a baby.
    I was also self conscious about my body when I got pregnant. And I felt guilted and shamed for feeling that way when people would respond "you're supposed to grow/gain weight".

    It's actually very healthy for prego women to workout while pregnant just to let you know!! It is unhealthy not to lift or workout.... it is an old stereotype for pregnant women to not pick up things. =)
    Also, there have been studies showing women who work out, while prego, have healthier babies. Their hearts and lungs work better too!

    Pregnancy actually is only 9 months long! The 40 weeks is deceiving but on average each month has around 4 and a half weeks in it

    • @HatandTie
      @HatandTie 5 років тому +2

      Yes, I never understood where people got 10 months from? It's 40 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period, so obviously you're not actually pregnant for all of those 40 weeks

    • @Bea56601
      @Bea56601 5 років тому +2

    I had to learn to laugh at myself when I would find myself crying over silly things. It is crazy how much weight a woman gains while pregnant and I never realized how much it is distributed all over until it happened to me. Or rather to my butt.😂

  • @annaholeman7968
    @annaholeman7968 5 років тому +2

    It's not 10 months. You can't count each "month" as 4 weeks because our calendar months are not 28 days. They're 4.3 weeks per month. If we considered pregnancy 10 months then you'd also have to say that there are 13 months in the year. When there's not.

  • @tuftyloves
    @tuftyloves 5 років тому +1

    40 weeks is nine months. Why are we still perpetuating the 10 months thing?
