Which ruby carver bits do you use the most for detailing bird feathers? There are so many and if cant afford a ton. Maybe give your top 5 or so and the size? Thanks you are awesome!
Sorry took so long for me to answer your question. I would definitely yet a large and small flame tip, three different size balls including quarter inch and 1/8 inch.. A couple small cylinder ceramic for fine detail lines.

Thanks for your question. Tropical bird patterns are hard to find. Wildfowl Carving magazine is probably your best bet

I have 4 dremel tools which I load up different bits I would use for carving birds and bears 🐻

I would recommend Songbird Carving by Rosalyn Leach Daisey. This is where I get all my patterns from.
