    Saw great improvements moving from a Poynting shark fin to the 42G, thanks MMH! We have 2 modems in our Balance20x and use the 42g to power both. This with our primary WAN over Starlink has been our best setup to date.

      Can i ask how you have this set up? Are you using the bonding option of bal20x? Or just balance loading?
      I am moving to an area with very bad cell service in a month and a 6m-1yr wait on star link and i thought about trying this exact setup. How far does it beam wifi out around the area (really what i want to know)? Thanks man sorry for all the questions :)

      @@jetrpg22 happy to help! We use the speed fusion cloud from pepwave to bond starlink, verizon and if need be tmobile for critical traffic like Zoom.
      We are in an RV full time so I have not tested the pure range of the balance20x on 5ghz but its pretty good given we're in an aluminum rig without any issues outside on wifi :) Hope that helps!

    Can the 42G replace an existing Poynting 7-in-1 4x Cellular, WIFI & GPS RV and Marine Roof Antenna -- or would it be incompatable with my current Pepwave MAX Transit DUO FirstNet "PrimeCare Edition" Dual Modem LTE-Advanced Mobile Router (DUAL CAT-12)?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  2 роки тому +1

      Yes the 42G has the same antenna leads as the Poynting 7-in-1 but when using it with a Transit Duo, you dont gain much as the 42G does have 5G support but the transit duo doesn't support 5G.

    Do I need to upgrade to a Pepwave MAX Transit DUO 5G Router to take advantage of a more mobile antenna like the 42G?

      Hi Kyle, a dual modem router or the 5G BR1 pro both work well with this antenna. They key thing with this antenna is has 4xLTE 2xWifi and 1xGPS. You can pair this with a dual modem that is cat 6, 7 or 12 well as those modems only need 2 LTE antennas. If you go with a cat 20 modem, those are 4x4 and would take up all four LTE with 1 modem.

    HI,. DOES IT LTE CABLES MATCHS WITH SIMCARDS SLOTS OR IS TO SIGNAL REDUNDANCE?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  7 місяців тому

      Hello! So, the LTE cables will pull from all available SIM card slots, dependent on the connection to the router. If you have any other questions, please reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and one our Nomadic Specialists will be happy to help you out! Thank you and safe traveling!

    My new Peplink Mobility 42G antenna has 4 LTE cables (LTE1-LTE4).
    My Arcady KVD21 5G Home Internet gateway has 4 antenna ports labeled D, M, M1 and M2.
    Can anyone advise which Peplink LTE cables should connect to which ports on the Arcady to maximize 5G connectivity (with just the internal antenna, it would connect to band N71). Below is the mapping of the KVD21 antenna ports to bands.

      If you are connecting this to a 5G device, the order of cable connection won't matter. As long as all cables are connected, that is key. Each antenna is facing a different direction, and the 5G mobile requires 4 cellular antennas. This will get you 360-degree coverage.

      @@MobileMustHave I couldn't find the information that the antennas point in different directions. Does this mean that I cannot use the 42G with my device if my device supports only 2 LTE antennas? Thanks you

      @@MobileMustHaveIf the antennas point in different directions wouldn’t that make for terrible performance? You want diversity and MIMO, you want all 4 antennas simultaneously connected to the same tower. But if it was 4 directional antennas, you’d have only one antenna facing the tower. It wouldn’t even work…

      @@RomansFiveDotEight The Peplink Mobilities series antennas are omnidirectional antenna elements that will pick up signals from 360 degrees on every element (antenna). This antenna does NOT have a directional bias by design. Some antennas do have some directional bias per element allowing for further signal range on certain elements in certain directions giving a blend of further range and solid omni performance but this manufacturer does not implement those technologies. Thanks for the comment and question!

      @@MobileMustHave Gotcha. I was confused about the 'facing different directions' comment.
      BTW I did reach out to Pepwave because I had the same question as above (I also have a T-Mobile Home Internet gateway). They said the connections should be as follows:
      LTE-1: M
      LTE-2: D
      LTE-3: M1
      LTE-4: M2
      I did find on mine that which connections are used can make a pretty significant difference.
