Thanks for the awesome share, Dutch! Seriously this is AWESOME and yet at this moment there are 9 thumbs down. Uhhh, why would anyone thumbs down THIS? Just fantastic storm!
Wow. I use to spend every summer in Florida. It reminds me of storms we use to get everyday there. Florida has some of the scariest thunderstorms i’ve ever experienced.
As a big thunderstorm enthusiast and weather amateur, what I think many people don't know is that those big CG lightning strikes that are striking right next to this guy's place near the end of the video are positively charged ones that originate from the sides of the middle and upper parts of this big cumulonimbus cloud tower / organized storm (which the head is likely above 40,000 feet from the ground and since it's the summertime). They're a lot more powerful and bigger than the negatively charged lightning strikes that usually happen under the base or in the core of the storm cell that was still a good ways from him in this video. Awesome lightning vid. Wish this was at night though.. I saw lightning like this at night and so frequent before it came overhead that I had not seen in 10 years where I live last year especially during the spring and it was awesome, but unusual of course. I should upload that one I took back in mid-April, on here.
Al EC you’re spot on there, the center of the lightning storm (and where the -ve lightning forks are striking) is still a bit further away beyond those tree tops and horizon, where it is much darker and with the huge downdraft under and beyond the roll cloud. Around the middle of the video when the +ve lightning is striking very near, it appears the strikes are coming from the outside tops of the cumulonimbus/anvil cloud cell and flying straight down through the lighter coloured outside clusters of rapidly growing updrafts of cumulus / cumulonimbus clouds and thundering down to the ground! Very dangerous type of lightning that catches a lot of people out, incredibly scary if you’ve had a close shave! The noise is incomparable to anything!
A new favorite to put on when I'm relaxing those sounds of summer everyone of them was a joy to hear Thank you so very much Dutch, old video and all... I loved it
I'm so glad you mentioned how different the thunder & lightening is sounding, etc. I've been telling people here in Phoenix, for the past 3-4 monsoon seasons that something has seriously changed in the way that the storms (lightening/thunder) is acting and sounding.. It almost sounds very un-natural..? Also, I was born in KCMO, and spent lots of my time growing up there. A week ago, being there, during one massive storm- losing electricity, etc. My 95 yr. Old grandmother made the statement that she has never in her life seen or heard a storm like that..? Well, that says a lot, cause she's lived there her entire life, and been thru several tornados, etc. Something has changed, without a doubt. But, just wanted to tell you, I've been noticing the same anomalies here in AZ. Since about 2011.? Don't know exactly why, other than geoengineering.
some (most) lightning is "negative" while some lightning is "positive". The strikes in the video are definitely positive. They are much more powerful and they sound like explosions
On the drive to work early one morning, about 5am, I drove through a lightning storm so severe I literally thought I was going to be struck any moment. Repeated, incessant strikes all around me made it seem like I was going through a time warp or something. There was no rain, or wind, just lightning. I've driven in terrible conditions before: tornadoes/large hail/blizzards, but this was by far the scariest driving experience I ever had.
Long time no talk Dutch. Yeah the storm Tore my plant up with the lightning. It actually blew a hole in the wall of one of our buildings and melted I-Beams and the Ameran Utility box. It blew the meter Off the wall and across the parking lot.
We had similar in SE Scotland last night. Never seen so much lightning in my life. I loved it. According to the met office there were 15273 lightning strikes over Scotland in the last 34 hours. More due on Saturday. Can't wait.
Some pretty epic ground-cloud strikes there... the ones towards the end were what we call spark-lightning, which doesn't have a very long travel or light-up time, but has a dramatic effect when it arcs and travels through the atmosphere, as you heard.
You'll have to follow your first instinct when lightning is getting too close. You don't get a heck of a lot of warning but suddenly the hair on your arms and legs stands up and you need to get low and break the circuit quickly. Drop to your knees and get inside.
This one reminds me of my Galaxy S5 behind a closed window, back in 2016, when I lived on Atkinson St. in Bellows Falls, Vermont. My Galaxy S5 was bass-biased like this one!
How interesting. This was on the same day as when a *crazy lightning storm* struck Central California! Lightning was somewhat like this. Almost struck the house twice and it was constant.
I love a good show of thunder, lightning and heavy rain. Even when it was pouring in Texas for days on end last month, I couldn't get enough! You guys seem to get storms quite a bit throughout spring and summer!
You know its less than a mile away when there's a bright flash and less than 2 seconds later a really loud thunderclap occurs. Best get indoors when that happens
I know it's a year later, but THANK YOU for this fabulous thunderstorm video. I live in Utah, the desert, where we just don't get good thunderstorms, so I have to live vicariously through other's YT postings! This was great.I'm hoping you got inside safely :)
Dutch, that is both BEAUTIIFUL and AMAZING🤩🥰 I absolutely LOVE a good storm (call me crazy)!!! Back in the day, I'd leash up my dog and walk out in that stuff w/o an umbrella... tempting the lightning... being cocky and thrilled all at the same time👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you for sharing bro!💜
First thing I thought was thunder sounds wrong for what I can see for terrine. Sounds more like thunder in the desert where its flat all around. Just booms, and disappears
I had a dream the same night of this storm which had extreme lightening. My interpretation is CERN is affecting the earth causing this strange lightening behavior!!! Great vid
My sista the Most High showed me this ,he was bringing very large tornado size lighting upon the earth. It's was nighttime, but the lighting was so bright that it lit up the whole sky. I also had a second vision, that ,a pillar of fire was coming towards me, I was trying to get away from it,I ran into my shower grabbing the shower head ,I started approaching the pillar of fire, it seems that the Most High was showing me something, I came in front of the earth, so he throws his fire towards me, I then start spraying the water at the fire .This was spectacular seeing this because the fire and water mix creating lighting. This was his judgments, because the lighting was striking the earth.
Wow, what a great capture! That storm was amazing. I never heard thunder like that before, like you said, no echo effect, just a bomb sound and then abrupt silence. Hardly any rolling sound. Sounded kind of "other worldly" and creepy. Any idea what atmospheric and/or topographic reasons are at play?
Wow Dutch. Storms are captivating, beautiful and very scary when it's close. Hope you share this with Reed Timmer. Did you feel the ground shake when it hit close? Sometimes our whole house shakes when we have a lot of close lightening. 🙂
I too live in Oregon. The heat is bad but the humidity is what is most unusual.. Also we use to get storms not as intense as this maybe but some good storms in the summer especially if we had a bad humid day but now nothing!! No snow, wind, rain, or thunder n lightning storms.. We r just drying up like California.. Great footage dutch.. I love it when u share these storms!!
Lightening storms like this one are a regular occurrence here in Florida. Just be careful with being outside. Several people a year are stuck by lightening here when they think the lightening is miles away. Good video, looks like Thor was misbehaving with his hammer again. LOL
That was intense, I wish I could see more because here in California is dry. It rain two times this January but nothing like this . Thanks for posting and be safe.
Very impressive camerawork, dutchsinse. Impressively steady hands. I love these kind of storms but rarely get them like this here in Oregon. The ocean so close to me creates a sort of atmospheric equilibrium that kills the cumulonimbus before it can pop off anything. I especially liked it from time mark 8:25, but the strikes at 9:03 and 11:02...I would probably need to change my chivies. Nice work. By the way - what kind of camera were you using. Very good quality video. Thanks!
your just alittle bit north of me and i watched it come through. we got the high winds and alot of lightning. i sat out side till the wind blew me out of my chair, but those are some healthy clouds.be safe
Robert Felix predicted that lightning storms would increase. That is what he was talking about. Would of watched it longer but it was unsafe to be out doors. Amazing footage.
This reminds me of years ago when we had a lightning storm and a bolt came down and hit the transformer in my backyard! Shook the house, fried the transformer and torched my pine tree that was trying to disguise the ugly thing, lol! No power for hours and between the fire department and the power company, they trashed my flowers. 🤷🏼♀️
Man that was super cool!!!! Over here in Perth Australia we get half a storm like that once every 5 years!!! You did well staying out there that long gets the hairs raised when there dropping all around like that , great vid!!
We actually had Thunderstorms in Oceanside, California, yesterday and today. And they weren't forecast! Usually I have to get my thunder and lightning from your videos, dutchsince:-)
I live in an isolated town in the Mohave desert on the Colorado River, and it is DRY here. Also, we have not started monsoon season yet. Last night they brewed up a storm out of nowhere. But the thunder at first sounded like a car wreck! YES, an explosion like you said Dutch. I'm 63 years old and I think I know what an approaching storm and thunder sound like! Our last storm was the same way. No warning of far off thunder getting closer, just BAM, and it's on us! We have one main road in and out of town and the town is about 8 miles in length. On each end of town there are 2 what I call UGLY cell towers with all kinds of crap on them, and I live near to one. I swear, the wind instantly hits like 60MPH, like a wall. The storms usually come in from CA but these have been pushing the opposite (To keep the rain from coming in off the ocean to CA?) The thunder is glaringly NOT NORMAL. It's almost a joke to me. If the wind is blowing that hard, you'd think the storm would move out fast too. But NO. They seemed determined to keep it here and keep doing strong and loud lightening after lightening. It's like they were getting madder and madder that our electric wouldn't go out! Last time it took down 3 utility poles (even with our monsoon storms, a first for us). We were out 6 hrs., and 2 streets were out for 2 weeks.. Most storms move through and at most you'll get 1, MAYBE 2 strikes that feel like they're in your backyard, but not 10!. The storm went away but 20 mins later it came back for a couple more strikes at our elec. but no go. Thank God! I guess this is one way they can say the economy is 'recovering'. Yea....fixing up all the damage.
AZgirl7 PS the next morning there was a sky full of scalar HAARP clouds. Hey Dutch, do you know what that buzzing/grinding noise was on your video? Sounded like a drone or something. Surely no one was weed wacking all that time? I thought I heard aircraft mixed in with our storm too! YES...I DO feel targeted.
Where are you? I miss your reports. You are the best . You are without a doubt a real researcher and a great reporter. I'm shure I speak for all your viewers when I say we all hope you are doing well, and are anxiously awaiting new updates . Thank You.
This is a typical storm outbreak. I have observed this many times and I have a couple of photos and audio recordings of events like this. This is the most scary part of a thunderstorm, but you would have taken the most spectacular lightning photos if it had came at nighttime. Thanks for uploading, this video brought me back the summer storm feeling!
I watched one tonight about 10 PM rolling over the Penines heading east. The light show was amazing ive never seen anything like it, yellow gold lightening & super intense flashes of white, my eyes hurt and i have a headache after watching it...
Great footage!.......Just as a PSA....... I've heard lighting can strike a "distant" location up to about fifty miles away in and instant. It can travel as fast as...............Stay safe in St Louie!
@@laurariner8960 Look again but it can. It's more about the conditions and less about the location. This is lightening we're talking about...... weather by large is mostly unpredictable do to it being nature (wild).
Those were some of the most violent if not deadly strikes of lightening I've ever seen! When they're close apart like that, that's bad news..i do hope nobody was caught by the strikes and my goodness that is awfully brave of you to capture it Dutch!
I'm no expert but how many of these were +ve strikes? The thunder is nothing like that associated with common or garden -ve ones. Epic though, you were braver than I would have been!
That was a nasty storm how much rain was there and how long did that storm last it looked very nasty indeed and the thunder was very strange it didnt seem to rumble on like other storms do not even where i live in northern england in the u.k.
This should be a warning to: disconnect tv's, computer ac lines and internet modems, etc. Disconnect telephones from phone line, pull out transformer from wall. Never allow anyone to talk on the telephone during such storms.Use common sense.
That spot seemed to have a tail later in yhe video. Had a storm roll thru about 2 years ago in the wrong direction. Lots of storm, lightning mostly in the sky, no rain.
Same thing happened to us in the joplin missouri area about a month ago. The thunder was shaking the the house. There were a lot of reports of this happening.
@Christopher Ledford Like a T-storm Springfield, Vermont got on August 21, 2011, exactly 1 week before T.C. "Irene" came, which was on August 28, 2011. Thunder was shaking Rite Aid!
***** Yes, VERY strange for the valley this time of the year. A month ago, it was in the 90's, too, for a day or two. That was EXTREMELY odd for here. Usually, it is still gray, drizzly and cool with highs in the 60's and only begins to warm-up during the last week of June or beginning of July. We usually do not experience this type of weather until middle July through August, and then, only for a week or so, then it is over.
Crazy Horse on his death bed and last words to the Wacasa Wakan (Holy Man) were.... when the Wakinyan appeared, he was returning to the Oyate (People) in the Sky.The Thunder you hear is the sound of the hoofs of his horse and the cracking lighting is to be his warrior voice to those below. For those of us that watch ALL signs and now the pattern and the voice of the Thunderbeings... it has changed and with the Maka Ina (Grandmother Earth) beginning to re-heal herself in this cleansing, they now are traveling Horizontally in Father Sky then Vertically. And their voices are truly speaking a new language. Wopila for the voice and sharing. Toksa
i seen this once in hudson wis. no echo no rain this was about 8 years now i love storms but this was something else just like yours but more intense strikes
I remember when I was 16 in 1998 there was a severe thunderstorm in the morning, me, my cousin and grandmother was in her room, me and my cousin was sitting on the bed and she was sitting in my late sister's rocking chair and we was looking out the window and a big bolt of lightning in outside of the window, it was very loud and bright it sounded like an explosion it shook the house and everyone was scared.
"Wow, sounds like Mother Nature was putting on a show! Did anyone catch a glimpse of the aftermath? I bet there are some incredible stories from that day!"
I can hear someone feverishly trying to finish mowing before the storm hits. lol That looks like some serious cloud to ground positive (+CG) lightning. There are some really good, recent studies on it. Some of it can be like "super lightning" or "mega lightning" with enough power to damage aircraft. There was a sailplane in Germany that was obliterated by a bolt of super lightning and luckily the guy had a parachute on.
Krikey! I've never heard anything like that or seen so many lightning strikes in such a short space of time. BTW have you noticed 10 low mag quakes near a place called Brawley CA? All in the space of two hours today.
OMG @ 11:21 ... a secret military jet equipped with smart bombs and lasers just got me! lol
ZAP.. BOOM.. and supersonic roar of some kind
It sounds like Zeus and Odin are having their shouting match!
BTW...That last one scared the shit out of me! I have ear buds in and I literally jumped...damn!
Just very glad you are alright!!! Daredevil!
dutchsinse can you see my comment? anyone...
Julia76087 k I can
Thanks for the awesome share, Dutch! Seriously this is AWESOME and yet at this moment there are 9 thumbs down. Uhhh, why would anyone thumbs down THIS? Just fantastic storm!
They must have been jealous. LOL
Только за дрожащие руки оператора🤣🤣🤣🤣
The sound, the sound of this storm sounds manmade, just hyped up beyond normal 100 fold! Crazy!
God bless you.
Wow. I use to spend every summer in Florida. It reminds me of storms we use to get everyday there. Florida has some of the scariest thunderstorms i’ve ever experienced.
11:22 Man, that is some war of the worlds lightning shit right there.
lol u right aliens getting shoot in capsules lol .
no more time left lmao
Yeah i like how the birds on that tall leafless tree branch to the left booked it as soon as it was over them lol

Thank you so very much Dutch, old video and all... I loved it
Awesome footage- love those moments as a massive storm rolls in!
***** agreed 100% cheers!
Lol at the person mowing their lawn.
That would be my dad.
That takes nerves of steel to mow one's lawn during a thunderstorm, especially with such proximate lightning.
😂I was just thinking that and was going to comment and then I saw yours🤣
I have neighbor like this. Almost got me killed thinking storm was no big deal
You need to cut grass dry. No point waiting till after the storm has passed.
I'm so glad you mentioned how different the thunder & lightening is sounding, etc. I've been telling people here in Phoenix, for the past 3-4 monsoon seasons that something has seriously changed in the way that the storms (lightening/thunder) is acting and sounding.. Best thunderstorm video of all time
"It really is dangerous"
*thunder clap*
*ends the video* XD
I enjoyed it that he said that with a completely neutral voice.
shoulda left the camera outside to film the rest. unless it wasnt a spare
no Technofan 330 thunder is n t dangerous but lightning is
What are Lightnings from grey clouds from nightmares
Technofan330 It is very dangerous.

Long time no talk Dutch. Yeah the storm Tore my plant up with the lightning. It actually blew a hole in the wall of one of our buildings and melted I-Beams and the Ameran Utility box. It blew the meter Off the wall and across the parking lot.
Dang then this storm definitely was able to kill someone yeah this storm was no joke with death sounding thunder
I can't help but watch this repeatedly. Used to live in St. Louis. Darnedest thunder I've ever heard.
What an amazing storm!! Great footage, Dutch! Love watching and listening to it.
Rose Bowen thankyou.. it was amazing to record!
The lack of overhang with the Thunder is very interesting. It's all positive lightning, very rare. Such a scary storm.
I think it's more likely to be negative lightning, most of these have lots of branching / pre crackling and multiple strokes
We had similar in SE Scotland last night. Never seen so much lightning in my life. I loved it. According to the met office there were 15273 lightning strikes over Scotland in the last 34 hours. More due on Saturday. Can't wait.

My daughters both live in Lemay and I live in High Ridge, very familiar with MorganFord area. The lightening is giving us a show right now :D
Gina L Guccione Yes.. South County getting hit HARD ! Hope all is well.. looks like serious lightning down your way too..
Dutch, that is both BEAUTIIFUL and AMAZING🤩🥰
I absolutely LOVE a good storm (call me crazy)!!!

7:16 the lightning show starts from here
That was great!! I so miss thunderstorms and lightning. You were making me giggle at the end. Loud crack “oops Best go inside”. 🎉😂❤😅
Sounds like God is out there firing off his shotgun! Interesting pink lightning.
Did that water main get repaired? Anyone find out what was the cause?
Awesome footage man!
PressResetEarth thanks ! It's almost every day now .. things getting a bit hairy around here!
Cool
New Mexico here, strange weather. Extreamly hot. I have been taking pictures here and seen faces in the clouds. Never seen nothing like it in my life!
I'm liking this video and putting it on my fav's list because this is one of the best CG lightning barrages that I have come across
I had a dream the same night of this storm which had extreme lightening. My interpretation is CERN is affecting the earth causing this strange lightening behavior!!! Great vid

I remember this storm. I lived in St. Charles county at the time and I was in awe seeing the storms move and the intense lightning.
Thunder is my #1 Fear. This is a Perfect Example/Video showing why it’s that Scary for me

Lightning purify s the earth of negative energy. So its a blessing.
Lightning adds ozone.
Who knows. A few could have been positive. :P
which is harmful to humans but helpful for recovering the ozone layer
It's a pity we don't see the strikes near the end of the video. and from a window on a higher floor it could be safe to continue recording?
Robert Felix predicted that lightning storms would increase. That is what he was talking about. Would of watched it longer but it was unsafe to be out doors. Amazing footage.

@@hellohjbgjh I live in Pécel, Hungary.
@@csengeri Thank you, waw awesome lightning storms there :)
Fun fact: Missouri Was The Eastern Starting Point For The Pony Express
Blaardy hell!!
What a storm., thank you!
What kind if camera did you use? Did you use an external mic or the built in mic?
I watched one tonight about 10 PM rolling over the Penines heading east. The light show was amazing ive never seen anything like it, yellow gold lightening & super intense flashes of white, my eyes hurt and i have a headache after watching it...
Great footage!.......Just as a PSA....... I've heard lighting can strike a "distant" location up to about fifty miles away in and instant. It can travel as fast as...............Stay safe in St Louie!
Lightning can strike 8to10 miles from an active storm. Never heard of 50 miles
@@laurariner8960 Look again but it can. It's more about the conditions and less about the location. This is lightening we're talking about...... weather by large is mostly unpredictable do to it being nature (wild).
I like the cloud wall. Love recording storms. Cool video.
11:20 that was definitely a positive lightning strike
Those were some of the most violent if not deadly strikes of lightening I've ever seen! When they're close apart like that, that's bad news..i do hope nobody was caught by the strikes and my goodness that is awfully brave of you to capture it Dutch!
I'm no expert but how many of these were +ve strikes? The thunder is nothing like that associated with common or garden -ve ones. Epic though, you were braver than I would have been!
Are you done giving weekly earthquake reports?
bri alder Srsly where is he?
He's in St. Louis, Missouri.
That was a nasty storm how much rain was there and how long did that storm last it looked very nasty indeed and the thunder was very strange it didnt seem to rumble on like other storms do not even where i live in northern england in the u.k.
This should be a warning to: disconnect tv's, computer ac lines and internet modems,
etc. Disconnect telephones from phone line, pull out transformer from wall.
Never allow anyone to talk on the telephone during such storms.Use common sense.
Sounds almost like branchless lightning. What do you think?
So 7 years ago. The shadows show the sun above behind and to the right. What is the bright spot in the middle ?
That spot seemed to have a tail later in yhe video. Had a storm roll thru about 2 years ago in the wrong direction. Lots of storm, lightning mostly in the sky, no rain.
@@pa1.254 Dry lightning
Those might be positive strikes...loud and fast like artillery fire. How many fps are you shooting at?
July 1st?Did you se what fell out of a sky portal in El Paso ?No wonder you got thunder & lightning
Dutch are you familiar with the electric universe and the thunderbolts project? if not then i think you might find it rewarding to look into.
was the end of the storm at the end? crazy lightning crazy close. Usually its the beginning that has crazy strikes like this
Hey, What do you think the explosion was on under the sand of a Rhode Island Beach? They say it smells like gas but no gas line.
Thanks for all the amazing videos!!!
We're is dutchi? 7 days since a video hope he comes back
That is a MAJOR storm...the lightning and thunder is on level THOR
YEAH👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Got To Be The Best Storm On UA-cam.
Nice that's a incredible storm. was it severe warned or tornado warned?
95 Degrees today in Oregon. Its been so hot the past 3 weeks or 4. 90+ every day!
***** Yeah. Something is "screwy".
A Yema Very hot again today. It was about 97 here so hot!
***** It was a record breaking 101 where I live.
I would've paid money to see this storm. What were the weather conditions like leading up to this storm, Dutch?
Great video, good CG strikes captured. was this T-storm also tornado warned ?
Can't beat these American severe weather events.
That was some wickedly loud lightning! Our son used to sit on the dang roof and video thunderstorms. He had no fear!
The Lakota say the Wakinyan (Thunderbeings ) live in the clouds!
Looks like the "Thunderbeings" are on the war path
kay vanvorce sure does!
Toksa
Laurie Good Hands Woman Wheeler Hi Laurie! Much love to you and blessings!
i seen this once in hudson wis. no echo no rain this was about 8 years now i love storms but this was something else just like yours but more intense strikes
Same day as this, we had an incredible lightning show right over Fresno. Lasted throughout the night.
2015 was brutal for storms (I'm in southern Ontario Canada and we had some spectacular ones that year)
Hi dutch, do you have recent videos that you have made, or do I need to be enrolled in a special online program. Do you have a inner circle program?
Miss your reports. Saw where volcano is causing Bali airport to close. Things are still happening.
Truth Seeker7 I miss dutchsinse too. I hope everything is okay. He is the first channel I go to first above all others. Sad face :(
I can hear someone feverishly trying to finish mowing before the storm hits. lol That looks like some serious cloud to ground positive (+CG) lightning. There are some really good, recent studies on it. Some of it can be like "super lightning" or "mega lightning" with enough power to damage aircraft. There was a sailplane in Germany that was obliterated by a bolt of super lightning and luckily the guy had a parachute on.
Mowing the lawn during a thunderstorm-Most STL thing ever.
THAT WAS SOME LOUD THUNDERSTORM!
Krikey! I've never heard anything like that or seen so many lightning strikes in such a short space of time.
BTW have you noticed 10 low mag quakes near a place called Brawley CA? All in the space of two hours today.
Aka Lucy Fox btw.
