- [4K] New updated RedHead auction scene in Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Florida. What do you guys think about the new revamped redhead scene?
Pirates of the Caribbean over at Disneyland in California is currently undergoing the same change to the Redhead auction scene. It's scheduled to open up again on June 8th, 2018
Last year Disneyland Paris Pirates of the Caribbean has also completed its updated auction scene. - Наука та технологія
When it’s night and you and your family are going back to the hotel from Disney, that hits different
true
Omg such a good feeling, or going back to the hotel with your family to grab some dinner and then going to the room to get some sleep for the next day
@@roux.169 That's what makes a vacation...eating and sleeping..Then do it all over again the next day..👍👍👍
@@roux.169 YESSS, this brings me nostalgia
omg couldn’t have said it better my self
ah, remember that smell? it was like, rootbeer or something sweet. and then you got by the pirate animatronic with the pigs and it smelled like car exhaust. i love it.
They should make a Yankee candle
There is one
Yes i always thought of something delicious with that smell!
Its salt water
Smells soooo gooddd lmao!
I still remember the smell of this ride even though I went on it 11 years ago.
Was it good or bad 😂
Mia Crawford I personally loved it. It smells like a fresh chlorinated musty basement, if that makes any sense at all lol
It’s smelled lien perfume but it is from what they used to make the smoke, but if you smell it to much it hurts your nose
sunny waters you’re spot on. I love the smell of this ride. Also loved going on this ride during the summers. It was always a break from the heat
It was nice
It's funny, in the 80's I went on this and my dad said, 'I was here 10 years ago and that dog still hasn't given the prisoners the key.' Now, over 30 years later, the dog still hasn't given them the key!
haha!
8 months later and the story is still the same
"You can keep doing that forever. The dog is never going to move."
@@BillyTheKidOfficialYT I guess there was some crazy time traveling going on.
@@GarretGrayCamera I’m wrong I looked it up lol
To me what's missing in this Orlando version is the first part of the Anaheim version... Going through the bayou village at night with the cabins, the crickets, the banjo playing out on the front porches, etc. Its a really nice scene before the rest of the ride
I love the bayou scene at Disneyland, but it wouldn't fit in WDW because there's no New Orleans Square there
The bayou is supposed to act as a bridge between New Orleans Square and your journey out into the Caribbean. At WDW the ride is in Adventureland so the bayou doesn't fit that theme. The queue is actually kind of cool as it is made up to look like you are walking through a Caribbean fort.
Agree! Just all together better at DL, ambience and drops A+
And the drops at Disneyland serve a practical purpose, which is to get the boats under the railroad tracks and into the show building on the outside of the tracks. The ride at Disneyland is also longer. Both are still super cool.
I agree!
I use to work at Disneyland in high school. When I'd clock out I'd always get on this ride and Indiana jones...every single night. Ahh, good times.
Goated job lol
To the drop haters, it is really small I am terrified of drops and I loved this
Gaming TV im going to this ride in about 5 days and im rly scared for the drop is it bad?
Grace Dunbar i hope i’m not too late but it isn’t scary. you’ll get that little feeling in your gut when you drop, almost like butterflies in your stomach, but the drop lasts for probably 2 seconds. it’s just a little unexpected is all.
i think its the best part of the ride!!!!
Grace Dunbar no it’s like 5-10 ft and not even steep
i don’t think it’s size of the drop itself, i think it’s because so many people didn’t expect it to be there that they didn’t like it
that's kind of a rad ending to have captain jack singing "a pirate's life for me".
audibly wasted with the rum bottle in hand too of course
I don't care for the ride as much as I used to due to all the changes they've done. The ride was first; don't know why they had to change it to match the movie.
@@laurellane1721 simple: to advertise the movies.XD
I miss Disney. This is one of my all time favorite rides at Disney. I still remember going on it with my family. Good times.
I did not realize that there was a drop and I thought we went off track
that drop was the biggest surprise for 7 year old me
I always hated that drop when I was a kid😂😂😂😂
Neither did we and had my baby sister on it... she passed out
Olivia Ellis-Duncan oh lord
I've been on it several times when I was younger, but then had a ten year gap where I didn't go. When I went last time with my friend I forgot about it and nearly peed myself.
No additional shots, Nor gunpowder, A compass that doesn't point north And I half expected your sword to be made of wood. You really are the worst pirate I have ever heard of.
"*Ah, but you've heard of me*"
I love this lol
Thank you for this video! I am disabled and can not travel the 400 mils to be there in person like I used to (been there at least 30 times). God bless all you do that makes us happy!
God bless you.
I am not sure, because I haven't been on that ride in 17 years, but it looks like there were quite a few changes made since then. I remember the "scary" part differently. The skeleton at the helm was there, but it was darker at that part and there was wind, rain, thunder, and lightning and the voice said something about "rough water" or something like that, then there was a quick drop through a dark segment. That was always my favorite part. Looks like they've made it a little more coddling for little kids.
Exactly! ^^ I don't recognize this ride at all anymore except for the dog and the prisoners.
More like they toned it down for this generation.. Ruining everything like always smh.
Fun easter egg on this ride - at 0:58 the rocks on the middle left of the cave/beach opening look like a skull. As the boat drifts to the right, you can see it's an illusion created by several rocks lined up just the right way to shape a skull if you look at it right.
I was 6 when I got on this ride... I did not expect that drop 😂💀
Yea, I was like no belt, no problem, right? Wrong. Lol
@@emmamills1867 disneyland splash mountain in a nut shell LMFAO
I was 4 when I did it 🤣
I didn’t get to go on it because it was like out of order something I don’t know if it wasn’t working but I’m I went on the frozen ride they took a picture in my face was like very shocked because I got water all in my shoes and I went on small world like a bunch of times like five I’m not sure like every single day my mom’s like want to go on small world
I was the kid that stood up during the drop
This, Rock n Rollercoaster, and Fantasmick were my favorite parts during my first visit to Disney world 10 years ago. And Tinker Bell blowing me a kiss during the light parade.
when life was normal 🥺
I went on this ride about 6 years ago, it’s still my favorite ride. I’m going back to Disney for the first time in a while for my birthday in December, I cannot wait to ride this ride again with my friends
How was it?
@@heart-forecast so sorry for answering late, It was a lot of fun! The ride has kinda changed the look a bit
I never noticed the skull made from the rock work at 0:58 what a cool hidden part of the theming!
The holes also look like Mickey
1:51
At 2:25 during the cannon scene I remember they used to shoot fireballs straight across, and this one time one of the fireballs actually hit me right in the face. The best way I could describe it was a big ball of really cold air, making my eyes dry up.
Oh my god, that sounds painful.
lol
This ride is when Disney flipped the script. One day, someone had to have said "you know, it's awesome we create rides based on movies, but what if, hear me out, we create a movie based on a ride?"
love that you can play through this in sea of thieves
It's my childhood dream come true, i was smiling ear to ear when playing through the first tall tale
@@Airlocked-oo4vn the third one was definitely my favorite
I’m getting sea of thieves vibe after watching this ride
I went on this the other day and I saw it said small drop, I thought it was just a bump...Turns out I was wrong. I was so thrilled to go on a ride with a drop, I ended up going on it 5 times!
Ever heard of the incredicoaster?
Lots of rides her have a drop
The drop on this ride actually is only about 14 feet. It feels bigger just because it's in the dark and can take you by surprise.
I’ve been on this ride, years ago. This brings back memories 😭
Try California or Tokyo. Twice as long and twice the dropos, first one twice as steep and high, and earlier.
For y’all that want to see the drop it is at 1:41
Thanks
No, it’s at 1:55.
This and haunted mansion will forever e my favorite ride, i live 1 hour from Disney world and no matter how many times ive been its always a must!!
OMG The line was huge...no one else in my family wanted to ride this so I went ahead and just joined a random group LMAOO. Still. This ride was amazing. Will never forget the spring break of 2014 when my family and I first went to Disney in Orlando
We wants the Redhead!
Yeah! WE WANTS THE REDHEAD!!!
We wants the red head!!!!!!!
WE WANTS THE REDHEAD!!!
The face mold is janes from the great movie ride
“WE WANTS THE RUM!”
who else's favorite part of the ride was seeing the singing pupper?
my school went to Disney as a graduation trip since we're already if Florida and me and my friend rode this together and we swear one of the captain jack sparrows was a real person. like actually
Johnny Deep has actually done it in Disenyland (Anaheim) when stranger tides was coming out
@@Leoluvesadmira omg that's awesome
me:I know this smell
my brother :what smell?
This is probably the ride I miss the most at Disney, I want to go on it so bad 😭. Sadly I can’t for two years
4.5 years for me
I haven’t been to Disney land since I was 6 years old but I remember this ride so cleary
I miss this ride before the Pirates of the Caribbean movies came out ♥ It looks like a completely different ride now.
Does it have a seatbelt and how does the ride go?
@@jasmineclay-xq2jx It was the same boat that you rode in as you can see in the video. There wasn't any seat belts, but it wasn't a fast ride but a visual one similar to the Great Movie Adeventure
I love this ride. I will always have great memories riding it. I love it when you go down the drop before you see the pirates. This is one my best rides at Magic Kingdom!
"It's Captain Jack Sparrow we're after!"
This ride TERRIFIED ME I don’t know why. Something about how the backdrop looked. It made me obscenely anxious and I almost cried lmao
Anyone else coming here after doing SoT’s new tall tale 3?
I was at Disney when the new update dropped and rode this, so happy I did before the tall tale. How cool.
My favorite ride for many years!
It used to be my favorite until they made all the changes. I don't care much about it anymore.
This is so neat. I remember this from when I was a kid. I loved being on the boat and all the sudden there was a drop in the ride. So cool. Great memories.
I really don't get why it was such a big deal. Historically , it was accurate.
Requiem Sequence lmao when did they make it a big deal, of course they’re gonna announce they’re adding a new pirate to the ride. They’re not just gonna refurbish the ride and not say anything about it lmao.
The dialogue in the auction scene sounds like if it were written by 6 year old me.
pirates arent known to be smart
This used to be my favorite ride as a kid. Went on it many times in a row!
I've been to the Disneyland one many times, so it was cool to see this version!
This ride is one of my favourites at any Disney theme park. I personally like the one in Anaheim better, but Orlando and Anaheim are really good. I just want the que at wdw to be similar to the one at Disneyland
Fun fact: The singing dog At 5:54 is replaced by a different dog breed in the Disneyland Version of this ride. This version of the dog looks like a Golden Retriever puppy, however, in the Disneyland version, that dog looks more like an elderly Cocker Spaniel. Look it up!!
I so happen to prefer this version of the singing dog tbh.
they legit copy and pasted this ride into Sea of Thieves which I love
ugh memories. when me and my cousin went we knew there was a drop, so we would scream at the top of our lungs on it to scare the little kids on the boat behind us. the drop seems so huge because its pitch black
I usually get a little sad watching these Disney POV vids, it gives me nostalgia, although I’m only 13 I used to fly up to Florida every 2 years and go, but now my brothers are in high school so we don’t have enough time to go again 🥲
I’ve been fortunate enough to have gone WDW many times, the first three rides, no ifs ands or buts, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Jungle Cruise…. I’ve ridden them all more than one can count… so freaking awesome
If there's one thing pirates really want, it's hens that lay eggs, because they really have just been saving up to live a nice peaceful life in the country selling eggs to their neighbors.
I love Pirates of the Caribbean! It makes me miss Disney sooo much!
Probably one of my favorite original rides
I’ve been on this ride so many times every time I’ve been to Walt Disney World and for me, it never gets old 😊
Could you imagine being here at night with all the animatronics off?
My favorite ride in all of Magic Kingdom. I feel like a visit there is never complete without going on this ride.
I miss this ride...I haven't been to Disney World in 17 years!
The one in disneyland is so much better
Nah
Agreed
@Requiem Sequence Disney SWJ's up everything nowadays, look what they did to star wars.
Disneyland in general is better than disneyworld, coming from someone whos been to both
magic cheeseball STFU
Years ago I enjoyed this ride even though it was different from this ride they added new things to the attraction
I remember going on this when I was young and the drop caught me off guard
This was one of the only attractions my dad was excited to go on
"Yeah John but when the pirates of the carribean breaks down the pirates don't eat the tourist"
My favorite part of the ride is the lady chasing the pirates with the broom! My six year old brother was afraid of the pirate battle. It’s really not that scary, but it might be better for older kids.
I preferred her showing her "showing her larboard side".."WE WANTS THE REDHEAD!!"
Girls think all guys want is to be pervs, but what we really want is...
This is kind of like what I want as a guy,
"Me and a girl step into the boat, front row if they let us. We anticipate the departure as we hear the safety announcement play in the background. We are a few inches apart and it's just us two in the front row. The ride begins and we stay separated for the first sections of the ride. After the drop and the cannon scene, our hands touch. We gently put our hands together and scooch closer to each other. She gently lays her head on my shoulder as the ride progresses. We remain together like this until the end of the ride, where we step out of the boat, hands still together, and begin walking to wait at thunder mountain!"
That's my dream trip to this ride!
Everytime i go the smellllllll is so good and i even bought a candle
I want one of those candles
Happy 50th Anniversary Pirates of the Caribbean!!!!!
The picture quality is fantastic! What type of camera did you use?
Sea of theives anyone?
The pirate lady in the red dress looked live- I hope she's paid well! How tough can that be, to hold those poses so long for tourist boats!
I think there's more than one live actor. It's astounding.
THE SMELL IS AMAZING
I literally cried on this ride when I was 4, but this looks fun lol
Same story here. No rollercoasters bother me all these years later but some animatronics still bother me a bit. Watching horror in a movie is a lot different than watching it IRL.
1:36 Is that James Arnold Taylor?
Definitely sounds like him
Anyone else here from Sea of Thieves?
I hated when they removed the mermaid skeleton, glass case, including the song in the background from Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides
Andrew Fontanez I know it was such a great effect
Andrew Fontanez Why did they remove the mermaid skeleton?
Why did they get rid of the mermaids mermaids kick ass!
After making this ride the same concept occurred in the sea of thieves
I loved this ride so much nostalgia
My favorite parts of the ride are the two ships fighting and the auction scene
I will always love this Disney attraction 🔥
Pirates in Disneyland doesn't have the fog curtain anymore(which I thought was cool),but the first dip was fun and the red head is now a pirate. I didn't see a dip in this one
Easily one of my favorite rides
Are there any drops on this ride? I’ve only been on the one in Disneyland
So, they make this change to the auction scene, but keep the poor town mayor being tortured with drowning in the well, and his wife getting shot at. Sure. That makes lots of sense.
That would be changing the whole ride, and a lot of people wouldnt be happy with that
AvenueEye Real Estate Photography sure. Go ahead and act like pirates didnt do stuff like that.
LloronasCollection Of course they did, and the Auction scene is historical accurate as well. So my comment is asking why they felt the need to change ONE scene that people were finding offensive, but not the other.
AvenueEye Real Estate Photography LeTs NoT pUt IdEaS iN tHeIr HeAdS
AvenueEye Real Estate Photography people cant face the truth of reality
Pirates of the Caribbean is the BEST!
CANT WAIT TO GO MAY 22-29
Same here
What camera do you use for your videos?
The new auction scene is boring, and the dialogue is horrendous. It's out of place with the rest of the ride.
So is all the Jack Sparrow nonsense. They ruined a great ride to tie it into the Jack Sparrow movies. :(
Richard Long WALK THE PLANK!!!!!
You Know What I actually Love Both ☠️Pirates Of The Caribbean Rides At Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca and Walt Disney World In Orlando, Fl Alike And That I actually just can’t resist the very fact I always going on it Twice In One Day whenever I’m visiting either Disney Theme Park That Is !!!!!!!!!!!
😉😉😉😉😉🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
We wants the red head.
I have a serious question y’all, I went on this ride and Disney land and it was super fun I’m very sensitive to drops, are they bigger in Disney world?
No, the Disney World version actually only has one drop instead of two like Disneyland does. And the drop is only 14 feet.
My family and I really enjoyed this ride.
I remember a mermaid skeleton, am I crazy? On the beach scene at the beginning, I remember a boat and a mermaid. Did they take it out, and does anyone know why? Thanks.
Pirates of the Carribbean should have their own Yankee candle line
I miss the original pirates ☠️ ride before the movie came out
We went in 1988 this was one of my favourite rides plus the haunted mansion. I was only 11.
Friend: you can’t smell videos
Me:
This was my favorite ride in Disney land
This is in WDW
i loved the part where you just dropped on the dark.. and i still remember that smell. i loved it so much
The fact people in this comment section hate drops even though there’s a lot of rides like that and even one that has a way bigger drop than this -___-
As if people just found out about drops…
"What do you guys think about the new revamped redhead scene?"
Made an timeless classic dated, that's what.
I hadn't thought of that, and you're right.
skellington15 my opinion on this is it is cool
I hate the changes. And pirates are not going to auction items to each other; they are just going to steal.
My favorite Disney ride. But I too miss yelling, I want the RED HEAD!!!
