Regarding your question, you can without any issues upgrade the m.2 ssd up to 2TB without any problems, and have at the same time up to 2TB HDD or 4TB SSD 2.5'. some times the manual or the service center they give you a horrible bad info like limit 512gb, that is BS and not correct we upgrade this laptops all the times for our clients without any issues. Your video is clear and concise. Thank you. My HP pavilion has an optical drive. From experience, I knew I could just pull on it and it would come out. The two visible screws nearest the opening edge will not come out. They spin, so I'm pretty sure I have them all the way unthreaded. But, I can't get the bottom cover to come off. Any ideas what might be the problem? I did use a guitar pick to loosen the edge all the way around.
I imagined a likely problem, but don't know the solution. I think whatever the screws go into are spinning, not allowing the screws to unthread. Like when you need a wrench on a nut to remove a bolt.
I realize that no one may ever read this, but just in case it helps someone. My solution was to, like a laparoscopic surgeon, use a toothpick to apply a small amount of super glue gel to the brass fittings, wait, then remove the screws.
Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both! Regarding your question, this is very normal issue, what is happening is that the base of the screw it is separated from the plastic cover and it is spinning with the screw and not letting the screw come out, what you did was fin and or you could use a skinny pliers to hold the base and then twist the screw and once opened then glue back the base into the plastic. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

regarding your question: i always recommend everyone to fresh install Win10 after upgrading ssd or anything, cloning works but its not the best option , you could end up with lots of error and bluescreen,
therefore i would say install the ssd and install windows 10 fresh install and no need to worry about the drivers at all, once you finished installing do a full windows update and you set to go.
here is the videos on how to create your win10 usb drive and a video on how to install on any HP laptops.

@@uFixTek Well I have successfully cloned the OS.
But my bios boot showed only "windows boot manager" and not the bootable drives options.

It worked.

I was able to visually confirm on one side that this is exactly what is happening. Still don't know how to work around it.
Don't worry i read it and thanks for it@@corryunedited8154
