Jontalbain never said it's definitely not coming out until 2026, he said a March 2026 launch is more realistic than March 2025 launch which has turned out to be a billion percent right. Of course they're targeting holiday 2025 but the switch originally targeted holiday 2016 so you can't rule it out.
This was back in January, when a take like that had no evidence to back it up (The comment itself also had none backing it up). IMO the only way you could humor a 2026 release is if you ignore any talk from journalists, any shipping data, and even information from Nintendo themselves. Jumping to what we know now, there is simply no way they would announce a console 9+ months from release, absolutely no reason to do that and it does not line up with how Nintendo currently opperates at all. The ONLY way I could see someone thinking that would be if they think that when Nintendo says, "announcement" they mean an equivalent to the, "NX coming March 2017" tweet, and if they do, then honestly, more power to them.:)
@@The__Corner However you want to spin it he hit the nail on the head and you didn't. He was consistent all year and his reasoning was rock solid while you were losing your mind to hype every other month. Switch 2 targeting holiday 2025 means it can still suffer from manufacturing or software delays and slip to March 2026. Until nintendo publicly commits to a release date that's earlier, March 2026 is on the table and evidently deserved more serious consideration than any of the 2024/early 2025 dates you believed would happen.
@@gentlechomp6952 Yeah foul on the field, nothing to back it up?? It's you guys infected with nintendo youtube mind virus that have been baselessly speculating all year. Don't try to pull that crap and get mad at commenters that shared with you a little wisdom.
