I'm currently rising up to 11th grade.. I played this in 6th grade... and I can confirm our performance sounded much better.. we were only playing our instruments for two years too.
yes... posture is off and violins are not playing dianamics right. Violas are sloppy and so are violins. Also ive never heard such a quiet group of cello.
im a freshman now and i guess the other middle school did this but my school never did so we did it for playday in orchestra last week and ive never sight read a song so good i played it perfectly and i had never played or even seen the piece before im so mf proud of myself just wanted to share
I'm an orchestra and we made that beat drop fortissimo, my Orchestra teacher thought that the song with smack way harder if we dug all the way the string and I love it. I also have a very very very large Orchestra with around 80 people making this cut way deeper
Constructive criticism The start is like mf, not mp, bigger dynamic contrast, pick the tempo up a bit, move with the cellos and basses, they are your friends!!
I feel so bland listening to this, none of the students look devoted into the music. It looks like they're all just trying too hard, to be able to play with emotion, you've got to be natural. The students look so stiff and its not very pleasing to watch.
And the sound even projects that, too. It sounds underwhelming, bored, and dull, and I was honestly surprised at how the conductor ignored this when they were playing. They also started off too strong, and just kind of gave up until the very ending. The second violinist in the very back is the embodiment of how the piece sounds during this performance, honestly.
Great job! There’s just some things that are easy fixes. Posture, there are some people that don’t even have their instrument under their jaw bone it’s at their chest, it’s just sitting there. Their playing over the fingerboard and their shoulders are moving the bow not the arm which causes that. The intonation should be worked on with some scales.
No movement, one dude has his instrument down in front of him, not the edge of their seats, I played this in 6th grade and we played better than this, more passionately, properly sitting. It's just sad. If they tried their best then they need to get an easier song. 2/10
These guys are straight fucking dead I'm in fourth grade I started two years ago viola and I can play !st violin part way better than anything this orchastra can do
I'm in 7th grade and we are playing this orchestra song

Elly Makena the start is mf then it goes mp atleast for cellos
what a great peac of mucie thes song is I remember playing it in 7th grad
This reminds me of an orchestra classroom to many violins and almost no cello basses or violas
Also, at measure 26 before the Allegro moderato, they are supposed to take a rest
OMG YES!!
The girl on the first row in the violin section on the outside is moving like crazy
ikr, she wildin
Everyone goes at their own pace...
im in 7th grade and we are playing this right now. i play viola
I'm playing this for my concert next month for my 7th grade orchestra concert
I love this song
Their bow usage is not good, and they are bowing on the bridge
also near the finger board
So truuuuu
In 3 grade or 4 grade in sistema
we will play this
Dynamics? Never heard of her
6th grade playing this song and sonata vivant with just so in the north cello player btw
The cello part is way to fun
i think we sounded better when we played this in 5th grade
pleasestopsicle SAME
Needs less 1st violins. They are overpowering. Throughout this whole piece everybody was rushing.
All the kids wanna play violin or viola even though they cost money to rent and cellos/basses are free. Our orchestra has 3 cellists and no bassists.
Also a lot of them were playing out of tune

the last chair in 2nd violin or 1st violin she was barely playing
slightly out of tune in the violins, violas y'all are on point ;)

I played this song in a performance in 6th grade
This is a tiny ass orchestra ngl
thats a whole latta Violas!!!
Why so few Bass players?
My orchestra (school) has 14 total, in 3 different grades.
+GeekVasion My orchestra has no Bass players at all
dude that sucks, a well-rounded orchestra is beautiful.
adding to my previous post, there are none in 6th grade, 1 in 7th grade, and 2 in 8th grade.
my class only has one
A lot of bow direction problems. Messed up a lot.
Everyone's being too critical, this is the beat cover of joust on youtube
Playing bass I remember the blisters in my fingers💀
Everyone is talking about how fast they are going. Every class has their own tempo to the song...
why are yall critisizing a 9 year old video of 12 year olds playing
Lemme pretend that girl in back is actually using her bow 😊
Seeing the bow holds like 🙈

Sounds great but don’t be afraid to use the full length of your bow!

The bowing is way off..and someone is really out of tune...
Only one bass
They need to fix their position
I’m in 6th grade
Pretty sad there’s only one bass... in my orchestra there’s only 4 cello players and no bass..... I know it’s sad 😂
Sounded out of tune a little bit
the girl in the back left thought. Looks like she has no idea what she is doing
One of the second violins looks like there about to cry due to a bad grade
