As a violinist of 5 almost 6 years now, it's natural instinct to move along to the music. I'm not joking. It just happens. Especially with 1st or cellos.
Another violinist and everyone that plays an instrument thing, you never think that your performance is good enough and if you fail only a few notes you feel like a disappointment to everyone around you but you still want to play for your parents but when you show them they're in their phone and you experience unimaginable pain and feel like a burden to your family knowing that they didn't really want to buy you and instrument and now you're bothering them with something you love dearly.
I agree with you this is my 7th year in orchestra 3 years for the violin and 4 years for the bass. It really does just happen . In my winter concert I was moving along with the music with my bass a lot . In my high school my concerts would be recorded and my orchestra class would do a reflection where we talk about improvements that we need to work . But getting back on topic it really just happens specially when the music is intense. I also wanted to add that I know how to play both electric and double bass (only basics for the electric, I play the double bass more and take orchestra serious). 🎻🎸🎼
We did this with my orchestra. We actually had someone who knew electric guitar and asked my composer if he could play it while the orchestra did the song. All I'll say is the crowd was absolutely stunned.
The cellos bring so much dramatic into the scene, they honestly make it better, although they are louder, they still are low enough to hear the violins and viola's. (edit) : I've came back after I forgotten about this, but DAMN. I forgot how AMAZING this was. The cello just makes everything SO MUCH better. It's amazing at that one part where everyone comes in 1:56
My school has one of the best bands in the state but just started it’s orchestra this year. We have 23 people, a third of which are new. Maybe we’ll be like this in a decade 🤞 😂
My orchestra has 4 violas, 1 bass, 1 cello, and 7 violins and somehow three people made it into all state orchestra. We've been playing for three years.
I'm a viola and I wish we had that many players in my school. We have about 19 people in my class 6 cellos, 5 violas, 6 violins, and one bass. We are all in sixth grade, but despite being young I feel we could play this and sound a lot fuller if we had more people.

The audience was actually really big, you just cant see them from this angle.
There is more people on the side of the bleacher the camera man is pointing to
Can’t relate
But yes
not anymore
That is the largest amount of string instrument players I’ve ever seen in a room.

I do a less intense version naturally
They have so much energy! I love it!
must be hard tho like its h
well I play the cello and this piece and gotta say, it hurts on the shoulder
It starts to come naturally to peices you know really well... They must've practiced 40 hours a day
