- In this video I show you how to finish the side seams of a lined bodice in one step, its super quick and easy and one of those things that you don't know until you know!
I hope that it helps ;)
I stared at a pattern for a solid 10 minutes before trying to research what it meant for doing the sides as a continous seam, and yours was the video that popped up! This was incredibly helpful - thank you for this tutorial.
Thank you so much! I know how to do this. I really do. But it's like my brain took that knowledge and tossed it out the door. I can now finish my granddaughter's Christmas dress. Yours is the best tutorial I have found for this.
My god! I’m so happy I found your video! You are probably the only UA-camr that shows how to finish side seams with lining. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Hi, so happy it helped, it’s such a simple process once you know how
Me to i could not figure it out

Thank you so much for this - you saved my sanity! I was going round and round until I discovered you on UA-cam. Many many thanks.

This is useful information for us beginner sewist.
Juanita Lane that’s great to hear, it’s one of those things that is never in instructions!
I loved seeing this! I've never lined anything before; it seems very difficult. This was easy peasy, though!
Stay Stitching it’s super easy to do, often easier than adding bindings or facings, next time I do a lined bodice I’ll film the full details ☺️
That'd be fantastic!
Lovely video which is very helpful. Thanks for sharing this.
Sew Sew no problem at all thanks for watching ☺️
Thank you! I am making my little granddaughter a dress and I just could not figure this part out. Now I am wondering why the back of my bodice is so much longer than the front!
I know it's funny, but your music goes through my head at the oddest times, like doing normal house work, floors etc LOL. The little girls bodice is a cute style and print, she'll be a lucky and well dressed little girl. I especially like the iron and small sleeve board! Will you share brand of iron?
Janice K hehe that’s fab to hear! It totally gets stuck in my head too all of the time ☺️ the mini iron is habico I was lucky enough to get to test it for Minerva Crafts www.minervacrafts.com/shop/sewing/haberdashery/hsi-mini-steam-iron
Very usefull! Thanks a lot
Mirjam Schouten that’s great to hear ☺️
Hi Mel, fantastic tutorial and so helpful 👍. Very cute pattern....is it available to buy? Would love more tutorials like this and would love to see the whole dress being put together.....what ever you can manage. Thanks so much for sharing your skills again 😀👍😘
Thank you, this is so helpful. I’m making a sleeveless top with lining and rear opening. I have cut the fabric but still wondering how I would finish the back (either using zipper or slit) and the hem. How would you suggest about it? I’ve been searching the internet but all I can find is bodice tutorials for dress
Could you use a serger for the side seams?
