Hi when i leaving aging enabled, the monitor randomly powers of ,was wondering if your having this issue at all? I have aging of now ,has not happened since
@@mozzzee yeah it did that for me too, I only enabled aging whenever I was gaming so I could turn the other settings off. Whenever I go back to desktop for anything, I reset all settings back to default including aging off
Im using this monitor since its release.. didnt notice the Vignette but seeing how much brighter it gets in this video is awesome. My next step will be to order this Lg Service Remote. Thanks for this helpfull video.
Ordered remote after watching this video and also purchased g3 oled which is super bright and made it quite obvious that the monitor needed a brightness bump. Remote came today and it was definitely worth it ,it also brought up my g3 service menu however haven't played around with that ,thanks for your good info .
Thanks for the info, just bought one of these and found a negative review about how dim it is. Hasn't arrived yet, but the second I get it, gonna try these settings to brighten it up.
I got the 45 inch GS model (2024). It came with no remote. I bought the service remote but it will not pair up. You have any idea how to get it to work? Perhaps it doesn’t. I just want to be able to control the monitor volume and on/off without having to do it on the monitor itself. Love the monitor but the lack of a remote sucks. I got 8 more days but it may be going back unfortunately. Thanks
Yeah so I did a comparison video of the 2023 and 2024 monitors (I’m using the new one now too) and there’s no remote, there’s no IR sensor either built in so even the service remote doesn’t work unfortunately. It’s definitely a bummer. One thing to note tho which someone commented on one of my recent videos with the 2024 version, you can access the service menu still with the nub. To do so, make the sure the monitor is turned off. When it is, press the nub left three times, right once, then turn it on. When you do this, open the settings menu and you’ll see the service menu instead of the standard menu
@@udubultra Hey. Thank you very much for that information! Changes my mind a bit. Did you do any tweaking? If so, maybe a video later? No biggie either way. Thanks again!
@@rodneyjackson8126 you’re welcome! And I’ve played with the same adjustments I made on the 2023 model turning off CPC and LEA Refresh which still make the screen brighter, although I don’t use them all the time. For me the new monitor is bright enough now but it’s nice knowing I can still get in the menu and make adjustments if I want to
It potentially could, it’s a safety feature which is why it’s on by default. If you’re not comfortable with possibly increasing the chance of burn in then I wouldn’t recommend turning it off
You really should right click desktop and go to hide desktop shortcuts. Those could potentially burn in over time, especially if you’ve gone and upped the initial brightness cap.
I ordered the exact remote you have listed, its not working. It wont do anything. Is there something i have to do to get it to work? I pressed "In Start" does nothing. I pressed every button and nothing 🤷
I figured it out, very strange. If you go into the normal lg menu under general there an option "Remote setting" mine was on monitor remote only. I switched it to "Monitor + tv" and it worked 🤷. Do I have to keep messing with these settings or do they just stay off. Also would this cause any harm to the oled?
@@sunnyadams9589 oh awesome, I'm glad you figured it out! Regarding the settings, they do reset everytime you turn off the monitor, so you'll have to adjust them each time. I am personally ok with this because I ONLY do this when I'm gaming. Everything else, I go back to default settings. I do this because its related to your second question, there's a potential increased chance of burn-in when doing this so I only do this for gaming sessions and always power cycle the monitor whenever I'm done using it
No thats just for increasing brightness, you can adjust HDR colors in the Windows 11 Calibration tool and through the NVIDIA Control Panel with Digital Vibrancy
Hi can you tell me how to determine the temperature of the monitor? There is such a line in DEBUG but it consists of 5 digits and I don't understand what it means 😅
If you have the nub at the bottom, when your monitor is turned off, press it left 3 times, right 1 time, then turn it on. Go into settings and you should see the service menu
My question is how it is now when you compare it with your newer model 45GS96QB? Is it brighter than the newer model or do you really needed that upgrade?
I have a comparison video up as well, but the newer model is certainly brighter even after using the service remote on the 2023 model. I’ve also recently learned how to access the service menu in this new 2024 model where you can also make these same adjustments, making the new one even brighter
This CPC setting is a real let down on this monitor. Yeah, you can turn in off, but as soon as you get up and monitor goes to sleep it turns itself back on. I wish LG release firmware update, and added this setting to main menu.
Link to the service remote I am using from Amazon:

And it just worked ? Then there is something wrong with it because it says new and the button is all worn out
@ yeah mine worked out of the box, thats odd if you have a worn button

If you update game bar and then you can use command Windows key - alt - B. You can enable HDR

May increasing brightness of 2023 model via "service remote", hurt the screen? If not why it is not enabled iby default?

Most of the time I use DisplayPort

How do I get to the service menu?
You need a service remote to get to that. On the service remote, it’s a button called “in start” that brings it up

Yeah I used CRU as well to do the same thing, although tbh I don't turn it on that much (at least not in games).
The settings will reset after monitor is turned on and off.
Yeah I had to redo it each time
I have setup an arduino to set the CPC and LEA settings and also adjust the APL levels. If you want the code hit me up.
