I found this really useful, and the info about SDR and HDR effecting each other was helpful. I set my 39" as per youis, with one minor change, it made a noticable difference.
I got the 2024 version and I had dim corners and I couldn't use the service remote ..I think they disabled the remotes for this models.. I was very disappointed :(
Yeah there’s no IR sensor on this model, however you can still access the service menu using the nub. When the monitor is turned off, press left with the nub three times, right once, then turn it on. You should see the service menu the next time you go in the settings
hello , why my hdr on the same monitor look so dark?? i lost a lot of brightness with hdr but the color look much better, and i used calibrate hdr for better settings too
How about your SDR slider? In the settings menu where you turn HDR on, when you go into that there is a brightness slider for SDR content, I always turn that up to 90 because it in general makes the monitor brighter
Hello, friend. I have seen that you have the same monitor as me but I need your help if you could give me a few minutes please. To begin with, the HDR calibration of windows gives me a maximum nits of 700... I can't reach 1300 as I see that you have in the rtx HDR menu, in windows it gives you that value? I also see that I don't know if it's because of the cable to the hdmi when I put the rtx HDR filter it doesn't work. Greetings from Spain.
Hi there! For RTX HDR, I think it reads off your Win11 HDR Calibration Tool settings. Using that, I set both of my brightness settings to 1300 nits. From there I think RTX HDR reads off of that
@udubultra How's the image quality for UA-cam content? I love the size but I am concern with the low PPI. I currently owned LG C3 42" and love the image quality.
I think for media and gaming the picture quality is great, there’s no issues with ppi imo. With that said though if you’re used to using a 4k display like the C3 you’ll notice it a little bit
I’m not sure if it translates to games too but I do adjust it to 90 for desktop use. It might be placebo but I feel like it goes to games because I do that lol
I plan on getting an OLED for the 1st as my goal soonish. Do you guys normally cover it during the day at all? If I leave the house, and know my room will be lit even if the monitor not facing a window, I'd just cover it with the monitor plastic wrap it came in.
again thx for tips,! . argument for using gamer 2 over 1? every review was like use gamer 1. also rtx hdr is sadly crushing details in dark scenes, not only for this monitor tho.. 🤔

That’s awesome, I’m glad it helped!

I appreciate that, thank you!

How do you open the monitor settings
On this video through the remote
sdr content brightness Is this option only useful for desktop tasks? Or can affect games too

Personally I don't although I do tend to keep my windows closed anyway so I don't have that much light coming in@@TheCrazedEB
thx
You’re welcome!
What are your RTX HDR settings?
I have all defaults except for middle gray, which I set to 75
@@udubultra any particular reason why that is?
@@hollymolly567 Just to improve brightness a bit, I found that RTX HDR seemed to be dimming the overall image so that helped
@@udubultra no worries, thanks for the reply
Will this work for the 34 inches version of this monitor?
Yeah they should be the same settings

Honestly just personal preference, I think the colors pop more in gamer 2 which is why I chose it lol
