Those who gave bad reviews tend to be comparing with the mainstream cruise line like Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, etc... They already have expectations in their mind even before they get onboard. In my opinion, every cruise lines is different and that makes them unique. One should always go with an open minded and enjoy. Why compare and expect when you have no idea to begin with what the ship will be like.
Totally agree with you Dan. True voyagers explore & appreciate every diverse experience. There's no point bragging about dozens of cruise trips if the sense of adventure & exploration is limited & confined to specific preferences. A global traveller sees & admires every unique beauty of each new adventure!
I imagine it can't be as bad as a Carnival Cruise. The people who cruise that line are either rude or drunk all the time. It's a party ship alright. With other cruise line like Royal Caribbean, we hardly hear any noise even when someone who walk by and talk loudly. With Carnival, we hear it all night long.

It can be addictive once you start. I now cruise 2 to 3 times per year and I do have to say, I have seen so many places in the world that really open up my eyes and make me feel how fortunate I'm to be able to travel.

Great video! Youve convinced me to do a solo cruise on this ship for New Years on Decmeber. I'll get a studio cabin, perfect for just me. Being a truck driver and dealing with all the issues with Covid19, I'll need this vacation come the end of the year....I'll just have plenty of masks and hand sanitizers and I'll definitely enjoy myself!
A very well presented video of this stunning ship. MSC are certainly setting the benchmark for quality and stylish interiors and pool areas. We are booked on the new MSC Grandiosa for a Christmas cruise this year which is a slightly stretched sister to MSC Meraviglia. Will be cruise number 37 for us but first one on MSC.

At the beginning of the video where you mention, you can get snack and ice cream. Was that complementary? 2. For the coffee at the Infinity Bar, is that an extra charge? 3. Which dining room would you recommend?
Hey Danny. If you have a Drinks package coffee is included in all the bars except the Jean Philippe Chocolate Shop. Ice Cream from the pool bar is also included if you have a drinks package. We thought the Panorama dining room had the nicest atmosphere with the aft views.
Hey Dan, just to add on Ben & Dave's response. Yes, the Panorama MDR is better than Waves. However, the MDRs are pre-assigned based on the experience you booked (Bella, Fantastica, Aurea, etc.). However you may always approach the Maitre D at boarding day & they will see if they can accommodate your request. Excited for you! Meraviglia is truly marvellous. I was lucky to be on the exact same sailing as Ben & Dave & their reviews are absolutely spot on!
So how did you enjoy your cruise? We are considering it for an upcoming cruise but are concerned about the bad reviews re: subpar food and lack of activities.
Does anyone know if the adults only areas on MSC ships are 16+ or 18+? I'm going on a MSC cruise this summer with mp family and my 17-year-old daughter would like to know whether she will be able to go to the adults only area.
Hey Devolvy, On the Meraviglia there are no adult-only areas. On the other ships, it's not so clear cut but we feel its more to deter little children than young adults.

Me and my husband love your videos! But we just got back from the MSC Meraviglia and it was the worst cruise we ever took! My first and last MSC cruise to be honest.
I can't believe how close together the sun beds are, to get on and off you have to wriggle to the front. Not much privacy and not the Covid 1.5 metre separation requirement either
We just got off the 10 day cruise leaving Manhattan, NY on October 8, 2019. The ship was in disarray from the start. Four hours to board the ship, with it leaving 2.5 hours late. They had issues with Canadian Customs which caused us to lose a stop. They cut short our stay in Quebec City by 12 hours. Had to keep an eye on our on-board charges as drinks would be charged even though they were within our Drink Package. Service in the dining room was very slow. Food in the dining room and at Butchers Cut was sub-par. Overall experience was not good at all. At this point, I would not cruise with MSC again. Give me Celebrity any day..!!!
Been on them all and find MSC To be top notch especially the yacht club. Sorry you had a bad time, I love MSC and princess, not a huge fan of celebrity.

Would this be a good choice for kids? They loved the RC Oasis class ships, but weren't into Mariner of the Seas so much.
