MSC Meravigilia i booked this cruise not expecting much, but from the moment i stepped on this ship it was amazing everything was clean ship was huge, the room was amazing, the staff so nice , will even help you with everything and bring you drinks , i was a treated with respect and such importance for the first time in my life and it was on a cruise.. this is my story I took booked on feb 3 to feb 6 it was a perfect number of days for a first time cruise the stops bahamas nassau , and ocean cay MSC island personally i loved the msc island more even if you dont like water you can walk the whole island with out getting tired, like come on a whole island amazing. the food on the ship was amazing buffet style, always at your service and they brought lunch down on the MSC island too. i never went hungry once and i had to ask them to give me little amount cause the staff are so nice they want to feed you alot lol, i personally went for dinner after11pm and they served me with the most amazing smile i went for breakfast at 4am and they was already prepared the room service was unbelievable, if i sat on the bed and she sheets are crinkled they would make it up, if there is any rapper on the floors they will make it up , sink always clean toilet was always with , shower glass was wiped i am not making this up this actually happen on my cruise one more thing if your going to the bahamas do not rent a car they people over there drive aggressive no traffic lights, just get a cab its expensive but worth it

I took the Meraviglia on January 2019 fron Barcelona on a balcony cabin deck 14 and the experience was fantastic...the ship is stunning. Recommend it 100%.

So the show is extra all the shops all the things on the promenade are all in addition to stuff? So you pay for the cruise and then you pay for everything except for the dining room? I don't know this seems.. well expensive.
Hi Gail, thanks for watching. Only shows in the Carousel Lounge are an extra cost, there are some fantastic show every night in the main theater at no cost. Yes, there are extra cost venues on the promenade, for specialty dining, ice cream etc, but again, you have other included options available. You can cruise on this ship without spending much extra and still have a great time.
Went on a Mediterranean cruise with this ship not long after it's Maiden. Nice ship trouble with it was I only speak English and I had trouble with the crews limited English. The misunderstandings due to the language barrier made the cruise one I was glad to get off. Hope things have improved.

@@TalkingCruise The cruise we had was 5 days in the Mediterranean. When it came to disembarking we were not allowed to leave until we paid a 100 euro fee for what I still to this day don't know. Our cruise was all inclusive nothing more to pay for unless we brought alcohol and we don't drink alcohol. I feel that it was more or less a ransom and I warn others to take care when booking these sorts of things and ensure they have understood the terms of boarding such a cruise. Because as I stated earlier very few staff spoke English making it impossible to know what the fees were for.

You can book MSC cruises with various level on inclusiveness. For example, the Yacht Club offers a secluded section of the ship with its own pool, restaurant, bar & lounge and also includes drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), access to the Thermal Suite in the spa and special area at Ocean Cay (MSC's private Bahamas island). You can also book Aurea, which includes drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), a special outdoor bar and pool area, Thermal Suite access and even free massages for the first two guests in the room (over 18).

Booked on Meraviglia in November 2021-second trip on this ship as I was impressed in 2019. Having sailed on Celebrity, HA, Princess I was worried after reading the reviews. Turned out to be much better in the entertainment arena, plus both of these trips have been priced extremely low. I am not sure if Cirque du Soleil is back, which was one of the best perks of MSC cruises. Two different show,, choice of drink(s) and/or pre-dinner event.
I never Sail in MSC cruises, I hope 2021 may afford me MSC Cruise to new Experience I wanted to sail Seaside but i have no other choice to sail Meraviglia

My personal recommendation would be to look at one of Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class ships. Absolutely, all children are allowed in the Yacht Club, however it goes without saying that parents need to make sure their children are not disturbing other guests. Unlike the main pools and family play areas onboard, the Yacht Club does tend to be more serene and relaxed. The YC staff go out of their way to make sure all guests. especially children are happy (happy children = happy parents). I hope you get to enjoy the YC experience. It is amazing!
We sailed on the Mariviglia about a year ago. LOVED it. The ship is beautiful. The food was fair. For a new ship though, the seats in the auditorium were rather worn. Leather probably wasn't the best choice. The entertainment started off good and went to mediocre. We did pay for the circus solie show and was totally worth it but the free drink was awful.The stair cases are beautiful. Other than listening to all the announcements 7 times in several languages, we throughly enjoyed our trip. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that we didn't know we weren't going to Ocean Kay until a fellow traveler told us about in on the elevator. We would have gone anyway but, it would have nice to get an email prior to leaving. Seems MSC only informed certain people. We are going, hopefully, on Divina in October. Again, I said hopefully.

Having sailed on both Seaside and Meraviglia several times, I do prefer Seaside and look forward to her newer larger sister, MSC Seashore later this year. I had two cruises on MSC Meraviglia in late 2019 and on both, our stops at Ocean Cay were canceled. We did find out about this in advance and on both occasions, MSC provided all guests with generous compensation. I hope you get a chance to visit Ocean Cay on your next one.

I’m really going to cry man me and my fiancé was going to have our honey moon on msc cruise 7 days on this one specifically in December and now we have to cancel because of covid 19 I’m hurt man.
Exactly, post covid cruise lines all lost billions and customers foot the bill. Total rip off to pay for the entrees that you and your wife want. Not only that, have you seen the micro size portion sizes ? All cruise lines charge $25 extra for steak/lobster at the MDR, Holland charges $ 20 for extra regular entree at the MDR and if you ask for water, then will bring and charge you for spring mineral water. Also, all buffets loads you up on cheap carbs, rice, pasta, bread and potatoes. Check out other cruise channels on You Tube. Good Old Days are long gone, will not be back cruising ! Better off at a five star resort or a Las Vegas buffet. Over 25 cruises traveled, retired.

@@TalkingCruise The cruise we had was 5 days in the Mediterranean. When it came to disembarking we were not allowed to leave until we paid a 100 euro fee for what I still to this day don't know. Our cruise was all inclusive nothing more to pay for unless we brought alcohol and we don't drink alcohol. I feel that it was more or less a ransom and I warn others to take care when booking these sorts of things and ensure they have understood the terms of boarding such a cruise. Because as I stated earlier very few staff spoke English making it impossible to know what the fees were for.

Hi Bernie, thanks for watching. No, not all inclusive. The extras will be speciality dining (like most ships), the two Cirque du Soleil shows, spa services and most beverages. You can book MSC cruises with various level on inclusiveness. For example, the Yacht Club offers a secluded section of the ship with its own pool, restaurant, bar & lounge and also includes drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), access to the Thermal Suite in the spa and special area at Ocean Cay (MSC's private Bahamas island). You can also book Aurea, which includes drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), a special outdoor bar and pool area, Thermal Suite access and even free massages for the first two guests in the room (over 18).
I’ve been on this ship and Norwegian Bliss. Both equally spectacular. Are all cruise ships this nice, or did I just get lucky?

Booked on Meraviglia in November 2021-second trip on this ship as I was impressed in 2019. Having sailed on Celebrity, HA, Princess I was worried after reading the reviews. Turned out to be much better in the entertainment arena, plus both of these trips have been priced extremely low. I am not sure if Cirque du Soleil is back, which was one of the best perks of MSC cruises. Two different show,, choice of drink(s) and/or pre-dinner event.

@@TalkingCruise Thank you for responding… We usually like to walk on the deck where the lifeboats are as it is more shady and less people… When we cruised on the Seaside there Really wasn't a place to walk on the lifeboat deck because the lifeboats were tucked in… I'm assuming it is the same way on the Meraviglia? Walking is a big part of our cruise experience… We normally don't walk on the walking track because it's a bit hot up there for us… Thanks for your quick response

My personal recommendation would be to look at one of Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class ships. These are the largest cruise ships in the world and have unique venues (Royal Promenade, Central Park and Boardwalk) that offer wide spaces for easy scooter access. Absolutely, all children are allowed in the Yacht Club, however it goes without saying that parents need to make sure their children are not disturbing other guests. Unlike the main pools and family play areas onboard, the Yacht Club does tend to be more serene and relaxed. The YC staff go out of their way to make sure all guests. especially children are happy (happy children = happy parents). I hope you get to enjoy the YC experience. It is amazing!

We sailed on the Mariviglia about a year ago. LOVED it. The ship is beautiful. The food was fair. For a new ship though, the seats in the auditorium were rather worn. Leather probably wasn't the best choice. The entertainment started off good and went to mediocre. We did pay for the circus solie show and was totally worth it but the free drink was awful.The stair cases are beautiful. Other than listening to all the announcements 7 times in several languages, we throughly enjoyed our trip. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that we didn't know we weren't going to Ocean Kay until a fellow traveler told us about in on the elevator. We would have gone anyway but, it would have nice to get an email prior to leaving. Seems MSC only informed certain people. We are going, hopefully, on Divina in October. Again, I said hopefully.

Having sailed on both Seaside and Meraviglia several times, I do prefer Seaside and look forward to her newer larger sister, MSC Seashore later this year. I had two cruises on MSC Meraviglia in late 2019 and on both, our stops at Ocean Cay were canceled. We did find out about this in advance and on both occasions, MSC provided all guests with generous compensation. I hope you get a chance to visit Ocean Cay on your next one.

Exactly, post covid cruise lines all lost billions and customers foot the bill. Total rip off to pay for the entrees that you and your wife want. Not only that, have you seen the micro size portion sizes ? All cruise lines charge $25 extra for steak/lobster at the MDR, Holland charges $ 20 for extra regular entree at the MDR and if you ask for water, then will bring and charge you for spring mineral water.
Also, all buffets loads you up on cheap carbs, rice, pasta, bread and potatoes. Check out other cruise channels on You Tube. Good Old Days are long gone, will not be back cruising !
Better off at a five star resort or a Las Vegas buffet. Over 25 cruises traveled, retired.
Hi j t, thanks for watching. I've never left I had to pay extra for food on a cruise, but speciality dining has now become my preference. One thing I've noticed since the restart, buffets are limited in food selections and quality has gone down. I stay away from the buffets as much as possible.
