As a londoner and someone who has been to oxford, it felt quite refreshing and inspiring to watch a video in a place I remember being, from the book shop to the cafe! I'm so used to watching vids set in America, I love this.
There are lots of places in Oxford where Harry Potter scenes were filmed! I've been there and it it so worth it! The whole city gives you Harry Potter feelings and as I remember correctly, most of the film settings are for free visit and not as crowded as you would believe them to be. :)

Tips for studying and improving grades in case you also wanna go into a good uni or college: 1. Take notes while in class (make sure your writing is neat and clean to understand it clearly). 2. Review your notes and past test papers multiple times everyday, and then test yourself. 3. Watch videos related to what your struggling with recommend doing and/or learning the basics, before getting to the hard part. 4. Say positive affirmations to not bring your hope and confidence down, remember your grades doesn't define who you are it defines your potential and knowledge throughout the class years. 5. This is just extra but study with the smart person in class so that you can ask questions and for help, depends if they are nice enough and don't forget to tell them about your grades and struggles so they take you seriously.
as someone who has been thinking of college as early as 6th grade, oxford and yale are definitely my dream schools. ive always wanted to see what oxford was like, so this video helps a lot. my parents went to amazing colleges (including yale), so i inspire to follow their path. at the same time, traveling and living somewhere else would be a dream. so when i apply for college, i will apply for oxford because of research and videos like this. thanks a lot! ☺️

i’m 25 now, having studied a degree and masters at different uni’s. both of them were awful and i never got to have the ‘university’ experience, so i love watching vlogs like this and living vicariously through other people haha. absolutely amazing vlog, congrats on getting so many views and subs on your first vid!🤩❤️

Well done. Tuck shop is something a boarding school has in the UK and sometimes day schools. It is treat foods for children. A delicatesson (deli) is a general word for a shop selling things like sliced meats. The Tuck Shop on the video has just chosen that name as its own business/brand name. A dorm is a dormitory often in a UK boarding school. University does not have dorm rooms because students usually do not share a room with lots of others so it would just be called your "room". Enjoy Oxford. I have a relative there are present who is having a very good time.
London is my favorite (and in my opinion the best) city in the world. Oxford is so beautiful, I think you captured it amazingly. I loved this video. I also think it is so neat that you’ve wanted to make the most of your college experience and try different schools. What a great idea.
I have similar experience with going to 3 colleges in 3 years. I am studying uni at Hong Kong, then went to exchange at Singapore and the United States. Wonderful experience to see all the school cultures! Glad you are enjoying your life abroad!

I didn't have the grades to get into Oxford, but I love the city too much to leave, so I decided to go to Brookes and commute from home. Let me know if you want any advice or tips on places to visit. I had the opportunity to study at Oxford this summer and absolutely loved the school and city. How lucky you are to spend an entire year there! I highly recommend checking out Shezan for great Indian food and Thaikhun for Thai, they were two of my favorite places to eat :)
This was honestly the best uni vlog I've ever seen. I hate those vlogs where there is a voice over in the entire video, the soft bg music with captions gave such a pretty vibe to the vlog❤
I don’t go uni in London but I go uni in Plymouth so here are some of my tips for England uni : 1) aldi is your best friend. super cheap food shop and not half bad taste wise 2) don’t stress with dressing fashion forward. Lecture halls get super cold in the winter so layer and stay comfortable. 3) student loan is a god send. don’t waste it all. but do use it for maccies, best investment but have fun!! Oxford is rich in history and architecture so enjoy every minute of it and don’t take it for granted!!
I hope you enjoy you overseas experience!! I was over at Trinity college for study abroad this summer, eye opening to say the least. I recommend the Byron burger if you go there to eat!

I am an Oxford native. It's a beautiful city but the Westgate is our only modern attraction. The history, museums and art are sooo good though. I love the art cafe if you go you need to try the vanilla iced latte. Oxford is hella aesthetic too, very picture worthy and pretty close to London, btw I'm a student at Jesus college but I have lived here pretty much my entire life, since about three.
I’m from Cambridge and attended one of the colleges of the university of Cambridge. The two city’s have an iconic history between the two. You need to visit Cambridge before you leave the UK next summer 🥰

We lived in Oxford for 4yrs in Leckford Rd, wife doing a phd, daughter at Phill and Jims and me at Lucy's. That was more than 20yrs ago, but still think of it as home. Love the place, and would happily still live there. I keep in touch with friends and Oxford from the opposite side of the planet.

I'm so happy you're enjoying Oxford! I've grown up there my whole life and am now attending Oxford Brookes (a more artsy university to the East of Oxford). I didn't have the grades to get into Oxford, but I love the city too much to leave, so I decided to go to Brookes and commute from home. Let me know if you want any advice or tips on places to visit. I had the opportunity to study at Oxford this summer and absolutely loved the school and city. How lucky you are to spend an entire year there! I highly recommend checking out Shezan for great Indian food and Thaikhun for Thai, they were two of my favorite places to eat :)
This was honestly the best uni vlog I've ever seen. I hate those vlogs where there is a voice over in the entire video, the soft bg music with captions gave such a pretty vibe to the vlog❤
I don’t go uni in London but I go uni in Plymouth so here are some of my tips for England uni :
1) aldi is your best friend. super cheap food shop and not half bad taste wise
2) don’t stress with dressing fashion forward. Lecture halls get super cold in the winter so layer and stay comfortable.
3) student loan is a god send. don’t waste it all. but do use it for maccies, best investment
but have fun!! Oxford is rich in history and architecture so enjoy every minute of it and don’t take it for granted!!

I am an Oxford native. It's a beautiful city but the Westgate is our only modern attraction. The history, museums and art are sooo good though. I love the art cafe if you go you need to try the vanilla iced latte. Oxford is hella aesthetic too, very picture worthy and pretty close to London, btw I'm a student at Jesus college but I have lived here pretty much my entire life, since about three.
I’m from Cambridge and attended one of the colleges of the university of Cambridge. The two city’s have an iconic history between the two. You need to visit Cambridge before you leave the UK next summer 🥰

We lived in Oxford for 4yrs in Leckford Rd, wife doing a phd, daughter at Phill and Jims and me at Lucy's. That was more than 20yrs ago, but still think of it as home. Love the place, and would happily still live there. I keep in touch with friends and Oxford from the opposite side of the planet.
