It was an adventure! Ha! It was pretty nice. I think it would be really fun with a group. I just wonder if we would have had to push, as shallow as it was. More weight-more drag? 🤣 Who knows!
Yes! They were very kind. The issue turned out to be a very innocent (health reason) and we had to step back and say, "Okay, this isn't a big deal". BUT, they didn't have to help us out either. :)
The area around Silver City, Pactola reservoir is spectacular!! The little Mexican food truck there in Hot Springs next to the park is pretty good also!! Safe travels guys, enjoyed it!
Ogallala is a quaint town. West of there in Sidney is the first full sized Cabela’s store (not original store) with all the mounts, plus they have a full HU campground on site. And a truck stop is you are just traveling through. Glad you made it through the storms. We are in south Central Kansas till Monday heading to KC. So hot! Looking forward to going to the UP of Michigan to hopefully find more comfortable temps. Tanking looks peaceful and less stressful than a canoeing with spouse… lol
Love that you share the good and bad with a sense of humor! We rented a truck in WI and drove to a stop just off the interstate in Ogallala to buy a 27’ sailboat over 20 years ago. Now we’re looking forward to your next video to seeing what we missed while we were there 😁
Oh wow! Nice! I wouldn't think of Ogallala being a place to have a sailboat, but maybe there is a larger body of water near there? Thanks for watching!
Looks like you guys had a great time. You've been changing my mind on South Dakota now :) Nothing wrong with being in a metal tub in the middle of a river with a thunderstorm nearby LOL
Thanks for watching! I admit that this one had me pretty frustrated at the hotel, but they explained that it was a pretty innocent (health reason) and then I could step back and say, "Okay, this isn't that big of a deal." BUT it IS all part of the journey! ;)
As always great video sorry I’m late watching been working on our RV. Cleaning it inside and out I’m glad y’all made it through the storms all safe. The water ride look interesting just to relax. Y’all keep safe and waiting for the next one.
Thanks... I am surprised you missed the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs and on your trip south from SD, Scott's Bluff National Monument (great city campground - Robideaux in Gerring) , Chimney Rock and Fort Laramie. Like you said, next time. Although the Tanking looked awesome.
We did miss the Western side, by Gering, but it is definitely on the list! I originally didn't think we would have time (we did), but it will have to be on a return trip. We are planning a West Coast trip next year, so maybe we can catch some of these 'pass-through' spots. Thanks for the campground suggestion! :)
Stumbled onto your channel. Been there and done that concerning a planned travel day being one way and then turns into a completely different upside-down shoot from the hip travel day. Loved the video, hope your audience grows.
thanks for sharing all aspects of full time travel. I am curious how hot the metal tub gets in the sun? That looks like a very cool adventure. as usual, questions are answered by watching the video.
Ha! There was a lot of finger pointing but we found out that the reasoning was very innocent (health reasons), so we determined it wasn’t that big of a deal. 😁 They we’re kind enough to accommodate us and it worked out.
@@RVUntethered Oh no, the memory was the issues I had with my helmet shortly after we left there, suddenly my head started itching and nothing I could do would make it stop, Finally found a place to stop, pulled my helmet off to find a huge beetle attached to the top of my head, Somehow he had apparently gotten inside my helmet when we were at the rest stop. NOT the only beetle memory we have BTW.
You should have gone up to Valentine Nebraska, we are staying at Fishberry Campground just north of Valentine and it is great. Here for the whole month. They are FHU and offer military discount as well as good sams and all are huge pull through sites
We haven't done that yet but will now after seeing this, we have been here all month and while we full-time for ministry we also love to sight see and there some amazing falls to check out around here in Valentine
We did quite a bit more in Deadwood last year, including the cemetery runs, but we kept it pretty short this time. Spearfish Canyon is ALWAYS worth it! :)
I’m looking into getting a new truck. Currently I have an F-250 and I’m thinking about an F-350. My question is…What is your GVWR on your F-350? I’ve heard you talk about your gasser vs diesel, and I’m intrigued.
I don’t. I got this truck for a song, while it was hard to even find one, and it has done a great job for us. My only point in the video, was to address the forums out there, where they make you feel that if you tow anything, it has to be a diesel. There are definitely pros and cons. As long as we don’t decide that we want a larger RV, I would buy this same truck in a heartbeat. The power has never been an issue. I don’t care for the gas pump struggle, but otherwise it’s perfect!
That, I'm not really sure. It was about 2.5 hours long, but they offered longer trips. The river keeps going. We only stopped for a couple of minutes, but he told us to take our time and stop where we'd like.

Tanking?!? That’s awesome! No one has shown this that we’ve seen before 😮 Thank you for sharing. We enjoy watching you guys so much!
Haha! We like to find those obscure things, where we can. 😁 It would be a fun group trip!
Tanking is definitely on the list of things we have wanted to try! It looks like it is a lot of fun and relaxing for sure.

Love the tanking down the river. Very cool!
It was pretty neat! Definitely new for us!
Unexpected rough travel day! Glad they let you park in shade for the pups. Safe travels!

Ok, the wife and I have to try tanking! Thanks for showing us this adventure!!!

Thanks!

The tank float looked really fun! great video as always, thanks!

Thank you. 👋🙂.

A few years ago spent 4hrs at the Ogalala rest area on I 80 waiting out a rain storm while on a motorcycle trip.
Oh wow! That’s a memory!
I guess storms must churn up fast out there, with nothing to stop it.
I liked that KOA. Stayed there in August 2023 on my way to TX.

Scenes from Lonesome Dove movie were shot in the place you are staying. Thought you would want to know.

I'm sorry, but Cody does not look like he wants to be in the wash tub going down the river. Did he do something bad?
Haha!😂 You will see that look a lot when he is trying to determine if he’s happy with my choices or not.

We have already passed through Nebraska, but we did not visit Omaha this year.
