Most high end makeup I own is from boxycharm on their pop up sales every month...I don't get boxycharm anymore cuz after a year and a half, I have sooo many eyeshadow palettes and skincare that I'm still going through lol 😅 but I do have some luxury brands cuz a friend of mine gave them to me..the most I've ever spent was $125 on Pat McGrath divine rose 2 palette, my friend gave me the divine rose 1 and she gave me Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury and Natasha Denona etc etc but when it comes to brow pencils foundation etc the stuff I run out of regularly, I shop drugstore....no point in spending 23 bucks for ABH pencil...when I can get one from Maybelline that works just the same for a fraction of the cost...I love the loreal Tru match tinted serum that stuff is awesome
My daughter loves skill share. She is autistic and so she jumps from interest to interest so it works great for her to have a place to get info. On a lot of things
I would love to see you recreate iconic makeup looks. From historical figures, pop icons, drag queens, to movie characters. It could be a whole series. I would love e to see you do Princess Diana, Trixie Mattel, Cher...oh the possibilities!

that wet and wild higlighter has been there since the 2016/2017 (I think!) instagram makeup era and it's still going strong even with all the highlighters that came out in the meantime, that's how good it is

Wet n Wild has a micro brow pencil that’s only $3 at Target and I love it. It’s just as good as the Nyx one that’s a little pricier. The only con is the shade range.
I used the Wet n Wild one up so much faster than the Nyx one. I didn't repurchase because I didn't think its price justified how fast I went through it. Although it might have just been I got a weird one. Do you find it lasts the same as the NYX
@@miseryfell6417 I think it depends on how you use the product. I used to like a super bold brow so I’d use more and go through the product quicker. But these days I like going for a little softer, more natural look so I don’t go through them as quickly. I also only do my makeup on days I have Zoom meetings so that helps too, lol.

I know it's £6 so slightly over but the 9 pan pallette from beauty bay are fabulous and really good quality there 42 pan pallette are often on sale for £13.50 such a bargain for the amazing quality I've not tried their lashes but they look nice don't know if they are under £5 though
I recently got the massive Beauty Bay X Jade Thirlwall palette and oh my god it’s fully incredible. I was shocked at the quality, the shades are so lovely, the mirror is HUGE and I feel like I won’t need another palette for a really long time
since i buy all my makeup with my own money but have so little to support myself but have such a love for makeup, i am so very happy about this video thank you robert ❤️
Sadly, ELF discontinued the putty eye primers. Believe me, I wept because Clay was my HG 'nude' for doing more conservative looks or smoky looks. ELF came out with some different pot eyeshadows in shades close to the original eye putty primers but not exactly the same colors. I'd love to try them out at some point for a comparison. I've no idea why they DCed the line since they were bloody amazing for my lard coated eyelids. I'd also recommend the ELF glosses to anyone. They're weirdly comfy, resilient but don't feel sticky or overly thick. I'm not sure how ELF did it but they made the first glosses that actually changed my mind about glosses as a whole and I'm 43. 😂 Also, love the BCC Dare to be Bright color primers. Ballerina is such a fantastic go to base. I wish the NYX Vivid Brights potted shadows behaved half as nicely as the ELF eye putty primers did. They work well but are more akin to the DCed Revolution Pro Pigment Pomades. As ever, thanks for the reviews!

The color Tattoo cream eyeshadows by maybelline work very well as eye primers , the eyeshadow does not budge at all even in this heat that we have at the moment. Love from Brigitte
Those elf concealers are holy grail products for me! I use them to spot conceal and they blend out so nicely, my skin always looks perfect I think they’re the best lightweight concealer
Many of these aren't available to me or I am not using them for other reasons, BUT oh my god that WetnWild highlighter in Blossow Glow is just like pearl sheen on your skin. Divine. Also Beautybay really is putting many brands to shame with their amazing quality. As a in-house brand there is a sale for them many times a year so you can get a really nice palette for 3-12 euros easily.
I haven't seen the elf putty eye primer in stock at all lately! My few issues with it are it doesn't come light enough and mine dried out super fast. I loved it in the meantime!
I have about 3 of those ELF mini palettes...i LOVE them. Infact im quite the elf girl in general. For brows, i quite enjoy the primark brow sketch. 2 pounds, very fine tip, gets the job done.

A friend swears by the Kiss my lash but better lashes, they're at Ulta & $5. I love an affordable make-up item. I absolutely love the Beauty Bay eyeshadows that you recommended. I have the nudes pallet, and use it all the time. Love all the recommendations, I really want to try the Wet n' Wild highlighter. Looked beautiful on camera!
Every bit of the megaglo highlighter collection is so incredible. I still use the loose powder highlights for just about every makeup look. The liquid ones are all bangers, especially if you're into underpainting. Wet N Wild decimated with that collection.
I use the elf putty primer and the elf shadows they are so good. And I love the wet and wild highlighter the blossom glow is my favorite. I've been really loving the new Maybelline vinyl ink liquid lipsticks. Enjoyed this video
Thank you Robert! This helps me a lot, since i rarely wear makeup except for the occasional wedding or company event, which thanks to covid has been happening less and less for the past couple years. It's good to know of good quality affordable makeup that will get me through an event, but won't leave my wallet crying in case it expires on the shelf (still wasteful, but at least they're not hundreds of dollars worth of spoiled stuff).

Yup bought my mom last year for valentine’s one of those E.L.F quads along with a small perfume and E.L.F holy hydrating make up setting mist. My mom was trilled by the quality of the quad and how well the setting mist works..

Robert, I'd love to hear your take on Shop Miss A, a dollar store makeup emporium. They carry the cheaper end of L A Colours, but have their own line called AOA Studio. I think you will be genuinely impressed! Everything is less than $2, except for bags of sponges and brush sets.
This look is SO PRETTY but I have to say I was a bit disappointed that you weren't doing the look from the ad. You do the most amazing glam looks, but I would love to see more everyday looks!
Efl eye primer is so good. I use their regular primer not the putty one but I may have to give it a go. I don't wear loads of makeup however, I do eyeliner daily and with the ELF primer, the eye liner doesn't budge all day. I use NYX twist up eye liners and love them. The product that is around $5 that i have NOT stopped wearing since trying it this summer is the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator!!! I turned 60, put this product on and took selfies. My skin looked better than it ever has!!! It goes beautifully with the Kosas Cloud Powder!🖤🖤🖤
I recently tried the Wet N Wild photofocus DEWY foundation and I really love it. Way better than the Clinique Even Better Refresh foundation. The foundation I use is discontinued or something is up with it. It is the Josie Maran Vibrancy, which is seriously dewy. In the winter months, the extreme moisture from the argan oil is perfect, but for the summer I just use extra powder. Everyone tells me the Clinique and one other foundation is similar, but no matter what Foundation I try, nothing is as dewy or moisturizing. I have tried cc cream, skin tints, everything and I cannot find anything similar. The WNW foundation has a really good finish, which is the closest I have found. The Josie Maran foundation is not a tint, but the texture is very watery and dewy, so that’s the only way I can match it. Any other suggestions are welcome. That new Channel foundation that looks like curdled milk, which is just the solids and oils not mixed, may be my next venture. It looks oily enough to work or look like skin, but it’s $85 and will most likely be discontinued.
Guess I need to try that Wet N Wild then, because I splurged on Clinique Even Better and it's a no on my skin. Not hydrating enough. Shows every dry patch and if I moisturise more I get weird results bc it won't stick. I think it might be because they didn't have the lightest shades in The Netherlands and I bought one that's too yellow and too dark, so I already needed to add whitening drops to lighten it and then a bit of pink and blue ones to create a shade closer to my undertone. Probably ruins the composition... so annoying. I still have MAX Face and Body to try but tbh... not sure if I could afford that over and over (and I don't use foundation often so I keep having to throw them away when they turn bad). Wet N Wild is much more affordable too! I'll check if they have the dewy range here. Thx for the tip!
Maybelline BB fresh/ pure 5 in 1 - even " matte" they all have the same finish. The only thing that looks " dewy " on me and without dry patches on my cheeks.
Beauty Bay owns Sample Beauty so their eyeshadow formula is exactly the same! I'm not sure about their other products though, but possibly something you could find out for scientific purposes 👀
The Beauty Bay eyebrow pencil, the skinny one with the twist up on one end and spoolie on the other, is amazing. ELF eyeshadows have become such a favorite, Camo concealer. I just realized I use a lot of ELF!
Sosu lashes!!! My absolute favourites. Eylure, Catrice,W7 and Kiss have some ok-ish nice ones, but they can look a bit plasticy unless they're some special collection, and then the price goes up. Sosu is under 10e and always stunning. They're sometimes on 30% sale on Beautybay, but you can find it in some drug stores (idk where in UK, if you have Normal then there maybe?)

although i dont think it’s under $5, the nyx micro brow pencil is my go-to eyebrow product. It’s not too soft, not too hard, shows up over foundation and doesn’t smudge around. i have thick, dark eyebrows, and i use it for depth and shaping. i cannot recommend it enough as an affordable eyebrow product!
a theory - i think beauty bay are seriously geniuses. their formula is so good, but it’s only available on their website, where other products are available as well. it’s kind of a strategy to bring in more customers to their website, where they will buy other brands as well - bringing in more money. beauty bay might not make much profit from their own products directly, but because customers buy other brands as well at the same time, beauty bay gets their percentage without having to spend extra money or charge people extra. it works for us and them 🤷🏻♀️
I really like Daiso makeup for its eyebrow pencil, eyeshadows and lip balms! Not to die for, but definitely good for travel size, fanny pocket options.
Try the Rimmel London Wonder'Full Brow. It's not moving! I also think it's waterproof but didn't try that fact. It's amazing for people like me who have blonde eyebrows and colors their hair a darker color. It's a way to color your brows and brush them into place everyday you feel like doing them and not permanently dyeing them
MUA Academy sell matte liquid blushes in similar packaging to Glossier Cloud Paints. Not a formula dupe but they are highly pigmented, blend extremely well over powder, and do not easily fade. They are usually about £3 but I have seen them for £1.50.
I layer the Elf Flawless Brightening concealer over WnW Incognito concealer and it’s awesome on my 37yo undereyes. The WnW is slightly too light but I like the effect they make together, especially as the Elf is a light sheerer than I need. I’m not sure how to explain it, it just looks more skin like.
I absolutely love elf products! They are the first ever makeup brand I used in met terms and even still now in my 30s. I will say, affordable lashes that I love because they’re absolutely lightweight and stunning are from Beauty Creations!
With the elf eye primers that’s exactly what I do, I just warm it up with my finger I remember you saying sometimes you need to warm things up to make it more blendable, it was so dry I was so disappointed then I remembered you need to warm it up first
Elf has come such a long way. I agree that you can do so much with them now for such a reasonable price. You also introduced me to Beauty Bay & I'm in love with their eyeshadow formula! Rimmel has a fantastic, creamy eyeliner that stays in place ALL DAY! I wore it during the birth of my first child & the nurse asked me what I was wearing because it was still in place 14 hours later. 🤣
Most everything I slap on my face costs between $5 - $15 at a general maximum (Covergirl is my go-to for lip products and concealers, and I love Colourpop shadow palettes). I will say that there's definitely a place for higher-end makeup brands and I might make an exception against my budget here and there (the Chanel Les Beiges foundation is fucking EXQUISITE, I'm almost not mad at myself for spending the money), but there are TONS of great products out there for a fraction of those prices.
e.l.f has a brow gel that really sticks my brows down and they don't move at all but unless you set it with a powder it does stay tacky literally all day and another product that I love from them is the Everyday Smoky palette. It's a 10-pan palette so more expensive than the little quads but not by much. It's been my go-to eyeshadow palette since I got it. The only downside is it doesn't have a black shadow, so I have to use one from a different palette.

I love Elf’s putty eye primer in the shade rose. It’s my exact skin color and you showed me how to use it properly and it’s amazing now. They discontinued it and now I am not happy. I have two jars left.
I was very disappointed as well when they discontinued it, but elf has now released on their website, a new no budge Cream Eyeshadow which they say is a 3 in 1, which is shadow, primer and liner, which are in different colours.

Every bit of the megaglo highlighter collection is so incredible. I still use the loose powder highlights for just about every makeup look. The liquid ones are all bangers, especially if you're into underpainting. Wet N Wild decimated with that collection.
I use the elf putty primer and the elf shadows they are so good. And I love the wet and wild highlighter the blossom glow is my favorite. I've been really loving the new Maybelline vinyl ink liquid lipsticks. Enjoyed this video

Thank you Robert! This helps me a lot, since i rarely wear makeup except for the occasional wedding or company event, which thanks to covid has been happening less and less for the past couple years. It's good to know of good quality affordable makeup that will get me through an event, but won't leave my wallet crying in case it expires on the shelf (still wasteful, but at least they're not hundreds of dollars worth of spoiled stuff).

i don't wear false lashes, but lots of people seem to like shop miss a. i do love rimmel for foundation, though i've got the matte version (it's very mousse-y and works well on oily skin).

Yup bought my mom last year for valentine’s one of those E.L.F quads along with a small perfume and E.L.F holy hydrating make up setting mist. My mom was trilled by the quality of the quad and how well the setting mist works..

Efl eye primer is so good. I use their regular primer not the putty one but I may have to give it a go. I don't wear loads of makeup however, I do eyeliner daily and with the ELF primer, the eye liner doesn't budge all day. I use NYX twist up eye liners and love them. Robert, you are a gorgeous soul. 💜🖤

The product that is around $5 that i have NOT stopped wearing since trying it this summer is the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator!!! I turned 60, put this product on and took selfies. My skin looked better than it ever has!!!

I recently tried the Wet N Wild photofocus DEWY foundation and I really love it. Way better than the Clinique Even Better Refresh foundation. The foundation I use is discontinued or something is up with it. It is the Josie Maran Vibrancy, which is seriously dewy. In the winter months, the extreme moisture from the argan oil is perfect, but for the summer I just use extra powder. Everyone tells me the Clinique and one other foundation is similar, but no matter what Foundation I try, nothing is as dewy or moisturizing. I have tried cc cream, skin tints, everything and I cannot find anything similar. The WNW foundation has a really good finish, which is the closest I have found. The Josie Maran foundation is not a tint, but the texture is very watery and dewy, so that’s the only way I can match it. Any other suggestions are welcome. That new Channel foundation that looks like curdled milk, which is just the solids and oils not mixed, may be my next venture. It looks oily enough to work or look like skin, but it’s $85 and will most likely be discontinued.
Guess I need to try that Wet N Wild then, because I splurged on Clinique Even Better and it's a no on my skin. Not hydrating enough. Shows every dry patch and if I moisturise more I get weird results bc it won't stick. I think it might be because they didn't have the lightest shades in The Netherlands and I bought one that's too yellow and too dark, so I already needed to add whitening drops to lighten it and then a bit of pink and blue ones to create a shade closer to my undertone. Probably ruins the composition... so annoying.
I still have MAX Face and Body to try but tbh... not sure if I could afford that over and over (and I don't use foundation often so I keep having to throw them away when they turn bad). Wet N Wild is much more affordable too! I'll check if they have the dewy range here.

Maybelline BB fresh/ pure 5 in 1 - even " matte" they all have the same finish. The only thing that looks " dewy " on me and without dry patches on my cheeks.

Beauty Bay owns Sample Beauty so their eyeshadow formula is exactly the same! I'm not sure about their other products though, but possibly something you could find out for scientific purposes 👀
The Beauty Bay eyebrow pencil, the skinny one with the twist up on one end and spoolie on the other, is amazing. ELF eyeshadows have become such a favorite, Camo concealer. I just realized I use a lot of ELF!
Sosu lashes!!! My absolute favourites. Eylure, Catrice,W7 and Kiss have some ok-ish nice ones, but they can look a bit plasticy unless they're some special collection, and then the price goes up. Sosu is under 10e and always stunning. They're sometimes on 30% sale on Beautybay, but you can find it in some drug stores (idk where in UK, if you have Normal then there maybe?)
NYX brow Pomade does not smudge or move. I love it!

although i dont think it’s under $5, the nyx micro brow pencil is my go-to eyebrow product. It’s not too soft, not too hard, shows up over foundation and doesn’t smudge around. i have thick, dark eyebrows, and i use it for depth and shaping. i cannot recommend it enough as an affordable eyebrow product!

a theory - i think beauty bay are seriously geniuses. their formula is so good, but it’s only available on their website, where other products are available as well. it’s kind of a strategy to bring in more customers to their website, where they will buy other brands as well - bringing in more money. beauty bay might not make much profit from their own products directly, but because customers buy other brands as well at the same time, beauty bay gets their percentage without having to spend extra money or charge people extra. it works for us and them 🤷🏻♀️

I love the SalonPerfect winged Demi collection in Amplif-eye, they’re so pretty. I usually cut them up and apply them in smaller pieces.
I really like Daiso makeup for its eyebrow pencil, eyeshadows and lip balms! Not to die for, but definitely good for travel size, fanny pocket options.
Try the Rimmel London Wonder'Full Brow. It's not moving! I also think it's waterproof but didn't try that fact. It's amazing for people like me who have blonde eyebrows and colors their hair a darker color. It's a way to color your brows and brush them into place everyday you feel like doing them and not permanently dyeing them

MUA Academy sell matte liquid blushes in similar packaging to Glossier Cloud Paints. Not a formula dupe but they are highly pigmented, blend extremely well over powder, and do not easily fade. They are usually about £3 but I have seen them for £1.50.
I layer the Elf Flawless Brightening concealer over WnW Incognito concealer and it’s awesome on my 37yo undereyes. The WnW is slightly too light but I like the effect they make together, especially as the Elf is a light sheerer than I need. I’m not sure how to explain it, it just looks more skin like.
I absolutely love elf products! They are the first ever makeup brand I used in met terms and even still now in my 30s. I will say, affordable lashes that I love because they’re absolutely lightweight and stunning are from Beauty Creations!
With the elf eye primers that’s exactly what I do, I just warm it up with my finger I remember you saying sometimes you need to warm things up to make it more blendable, it was so dry I was so disappointed then I remembered you need to warm it up first

Rimmel has a fantastic, creamy eyeliner that stays in place ALL DAY! I wore it during the birth of my first child & the nurse asked me what I was wearing because it was still in place 14 hours later. 🤣
Most everything I slap on my face costs between $5 - $15 at a general maximum (Covergirl is my go-to for lip products and concealers, and I love Colourpop shadow palettes). I will say that there's definitely a place for higher-end makeup brands and I might make an exception against my budget here and there (the Chanel Les Beiges foundation is fucking EXQUISITE, I'm almost not mad at myself for spending the money), but there are TONS of great products out there for a fraction of those prices.
e.l.f has a brow gel that really sticks my brows down and they don't move at all but unless you set it with a powder it does stay tacky literally all day and another product that I love from them is the Everyday Smoky palette. It's a 10-pan palette so more expensive than the little quads but not by much. It's been my go-to eyeshadow palette since I got it. The only downside is it doesn't have a black shadow, so I have to use one from a different palette.

I love Elf’s putty eye primer in the shade rose. It’s my exact skin color and you showed me how to use it properly and it’s amazing now. They discontinued it and now I am not happy. I have two jars left.

I was very disappointed as well when they discontinued it, but elf has now released on their website, a new no budge Cream Eyeshadow which they say is a 3 in 1, which is shadow, primer and liner, which are in different colours.
