God bless you Peter Blake, I've spent an entire lifetime staring at those wonderful record covers that you created, making my enjoyment of the record inside the sleeve that much more magical.
A Man After My Own Heart - the Vinyl album cover has always been so important to me and to hear Paul talk of this importance took me straight back to when I first started collecting vinyl... it was like listening to myself speak. Great interview
While it is still early, I am willing to venture that 66 is the best album of 2024. Thank you Paul. Paul Weller shared a wonderful birthday present with us all!
I'm the same afe as Paul, luckily I had an older sister so was able to listen to her copy, aged 8.I even remember listening to their earlier albums and seeing songs written by Smokey Robinson, got me into Motown in my earlt teens.
I’m roughly the same age as Paul and I had the exact same experience with the Sergeant Peppers sleeve. Pepper was the first album I ever owned; I was gifted it by family friends. I remember staring at all the faces on the cover, and reading through the lyrics on the back, to the point where I actually added my own parentheses in pen on the album for the portions of She’s Leaving Home where there’s a pause after “she” and the other voices come in with “is leaving” etc.
Paul you are a Sir Paul to a lot of people already but you being antiestablishment may not put you top of the list but hey you never no they may honour you one day 🤞
Just looks how they painted numbers on great western steam trains. What a lot of HOT AIR over nothing . What a load of nonsense…. Get over yourself MATE.
Paul can turn it upside down for his 99th birthday/album
Lovely of Paul to organise a tribute for Peter in acknowledgement for his work💚

So grateful that Paul has been an advocate and supporter of vinyl his entire career. We just need a reissue of "as is now" please!
And Live Wood too
It's great to see Paul as a 'fan' himself. Fab that Peter Blake has, once again, designed his album cover.
I love that he mentions Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys! Heroes!❤
Two living legends ❤😊❤
Two great artists!
Remember getting " All Mod Cons" done as he said with Sgt Pepper, read the lyrics, studied the sleeve etc good times

Love Paul.his music.60s is Tavistock.full on social conditioning
George Harrison did an album called "33 1/3" when he was that age. I wonder if that was an influence?

Dont fly aawayPETER OR PAUL
🇬🇧 ❤
I am a bit worried about Pauls cough
Coming off the back of a tour plus there's been a few nasty cold bugs going around recently. I'm just recovering myself.
One word: smoking 👎

He implied he’s already been asked and has declined. A man of great principle as well as promise.
That’s not how I see it and people do and can’t change through life it’s called growth
@@daonow5481- he literally shakes his head when he’s asked “Not for you?” So how can you interpret that in any way other than the very obvious?
Well we don’t need to agree have a nice Weekend
One more album of dull as dish water 🌊
Its a number 66 with a border round....emperors new clothes ffs
