Thermy would you consider making a beginners guide to watching BAR, most of us unfamiliar with the game struggle to understand how relevant most actions taken in a game are. Just a brief 'these are the factions, these are the resources, some of the unique game mechanics (eg. Wind how does that work, and what implications does it have? - these are basic t1 units and what they are good for, etc. Doesn't have to be super detailed, just enough so we can follow the first 10-15 mins of a game more easily. At the moment I'm taking it on faith that it's as good as you claim, simply because so far its hard to know what's going on. Oh and I'm asking if you wanna do it because I prefer your engagement style / voice to other BAR youtubers...
If you asked me if two gasses was enough on 4 base I would’ve laughed at you, probably because I’m low masters trash but seeing it in practice was beautiful. Definitely going to try this one out!
BAR was never made to be a spectator sport. The development focused on making a good game rather than making it pretty. If it becomes popular, the graphics can be upscaled as computers get powerful enough to actually cope with thousands of well rendered units. The population limits in most rts games are not there for balance or game play reasons, but because computers can't cope with more units rendered in such detail. If you want thousands of units, you have to sacrifice detail or performance. Personally I think BAR made the right choice in going for good game play over fancy graphics, not that the graphics are bad, just not as flashy as some other titles.
I have to stop watching the streams. I feel crazy when I realice I have already watched this but it is a video uploaded 5 minutes ago. Like I travel in time
I can watch BAR, but i don't like the maps and resources compared to SC2, the economy management on BAR doesn't interest me, the only thing BAR has that's cool is the Camera imo, and if you watch someone cast BAR it's like they fidget with the camera way too much.
The two pylons powering all his gateways 😂
Unadulterated baboonery
That’s twice as many as Artosis would use

Yeah. I watched a bunch of BAR content but honestly I still have no idea whats going on half the time.
Seconded!
Yeees please
You need a guide on how to watch a game?!
@@momchilandonov no but id like to know why a decision is being made. Id like to deepen my understanding of the game.
C&C was my first RTS like 30 some years ago. Would love to see that series revived. Tiberian Sun/Firestorm was so freaking good!
Bro is killing it with content today. Thanks UThermal. Let’s go Champ
I'm not that much older than uThermal but he still uses slang like "washed" and "cooked" and I'm lost 😭
You are indeed cooked
fair, lol. It might not even be an age thing, it could just be a regional thing
"washed" is short for washed up, and "cooked" = doomed
I feel like these have been used forever. Cooked is just getting more popular recently.
I've noticed "silly goose" and "baboon" slipping into my lexicon now and again...
First RTS I ever played was Command & Conquer for Nintendo 64.

10:20 why is a 5.9k MMR placing his depots in such a bad way?! Makes no sense!
for BAR to really take off it needs to be balanced so you can tech up

Yo Marc, go run an ultra marathon! You'd be so good at it. You have top tier mental

I have to stop watching the streams. I feel crazy when I realice I have already watched this but it is a video uploaded 5 minutes ago.
Like I travel in time
I'd watch more Bar
Anyone else missing the higher graphics over this low quality?
BAR graphics = BLAH
