MY HAND SIZE FOR REFERENCE
9 1/4 " Wide from side of index finger to side of pinky finger
8" Tall from bottom of palm to top of middle finger
11" Closed Fist Circumference - Спорт
My twins 14oz that I bought on 2009 is still intact. Its been a decade and I dont know how to destroy this gloves. I live in the philippines and after training I just throw this under the sun. The painted logo is almost gone but the leather, stiching and everything else is still pristine. I gotta say this is the most durable gloves for its price.
That’s great to hear thanks for sharing
Wooow!! How do you take care of it??

This has got to be the best product review I’ve ever seen. You can tell this guy knows his shit! Subbed

@@csquaredboxing 🙏🥊
I love how you give a point to them, from there i can choose the quality glove, love you bro!
Thanks bro
I have the lace version of this gloves for more than 2 years, I'd say it is the best value you can get when finding non-expensive gloves. The leather doesn't peel off or crack especially when taken good care by not exposing it to direct sunlight. The foam quality is almost the same as new even if I used it for more than 2 years. I also think that the lace version is best for boxers since its design is similar to a boxing glove.
Good stuff thanks for sharing
@@acartaylan 73 bruh, you need a 14oz o r 16 oz
I just recently got my twins gloves and I’ve had them for a week so far! Amazing! My knuckles don’t hurt as much and overall they’re the best gloves I’ve had so far. Was scared at first to purchase them but risked it and definitely was worth it! Btw this is my review for the 12oz gloves! I usually use 12oz when doing boxing drills. But sparring I use 16oz...and no I haven’t used any twins gloves for sparring so I can’t give any further information on them when it comes to the gloves being used in sparring.
Nice feedback glad you like them
Which do you use for sparring?
All of my gear are Twins. They're very good for sparring! I use the velcro version 14oz for mitts/bag and 16oz lace up for sparring. The lace up version is more of a boxing glove type, unlike the velcro version which is more of a muay thai glove type.
маrсеl everlast!
I purchased a pair on sale 4 months ago. I couldn't stand them at first due to being a little tight but eventually gotten used to them. Quality is excellent I can definitely see them lasting a very long time.
Yea John I just got my velcro strapped superare gloves in the mail 16oz and i noticed right away they were really tight on my wrists and didnt close completely.. did you find this problem too?
What size did you get and what kilo are you?
Just bought my pair of BGVL3 16oz, too. They definitely feel tighter than other models, but I consider this as a good thing, especially for wrists
Nice review Carlo as always. I happen to have a pair of these for muay thai. These are my go to for sparring. The extra padding on the knuckle area is nice and forgiving for my sparring partners. Also the wrist flexibility helps a lot in the clinch. Aside from their chunky profile that makes them look like border line novelty gloves, which is probably the only let down. I'd definitely give them a 10 for performance and feel.
Awesome man appreciate the feedback. They’re definitely a well balanced glove you can use for all around gym work
Twins gloves work great for both bag work and sparring. They're very flexible when you break them in, and they make technical clinch work quite easy. You can grab at all the right places on your opponent. If you adjust to them, they're good for boxing too. You'll just need to wrap extra around your wrist when wrapping your hands, and you'll need to be strict about your punch formation. They run light because they don't add padding on the wrist, and because Thai use their own glove weight system; the oz weight is just so other folks know that it'll provide roughly the same shock absorption as said oz of boxing glove. 14oz usually fit the same as the 16oz, just less padding lol
I used my Twins for years. I used for both boxing and muay thai. The foam went pad before the velcro ever had any issues lol. They're top notch quality. I'd say a Reyes glove will fit through slightly tighter spaces though.
Got a pair of these, they're great! I just got a pair of Boons that I like alot as well, hopefully you can do a review on them to see what you think.
Nice man congrats
Great videos man! Can you do the Fairtex bgv1 gloves and maybe a comparison of Thai style gloves like these, windy etc.
thanks man will do!
In my opinion the only plus to fairtex is they are amazing for the clinch and have slightly better wrist support than twins
Awesome bag work in the beginning
Thanks
I've got 12 oz and they were very tight at first.. Now worn in they are a great fit... As for quality there bullet proof... They will last for years... Great review.. Many thanks...
Thanks
Can you wear them with wraps and can you make a good fist in them after the breaking period?
Hi there. Love all your fight gear review videos. Where did you get the gloves? Could you drop us a link? Thanks
I really enjoy watching your videos!..my kids love boxing so I'm always looking for the best at the price I can afford and your videos are really helpful.
I appreciate it! Thanks for the support and glad you are your kids are able to narrow down your choices. 🙏🏼
Have you ever tried Boon gloves? Would love to see your thoughts and review. They have been sorta of a well kept secret for years within the MT community but over the last 10 years or so have really taken off. Amazing quality!
Not yet, but they look amazing and have been on my list forever
Great review brother!! Very informative!
No prob
How would you rate Twins in comparison to Hayabusa T3?
Is Twins BGVL-3 better? Or Hayabusa T3 better?
You should try the lace up version, they are really great.
Will do, thanks!
Excellent review.
Thanks man!
it almost has the same feel and stiffness of fairtex. awesome pair gloves
Yup!
Don't agree I had these 2 brands and trained hard with them. Fairtex has 2 layers of padding when Twins has 3. Hand's pocket is roomier with Twins, that's why they gave you a bar to grab. Fairtex is closer to the hand with a dry hit. To sum up Twins is a good all around glove for everyday training, but when you spar at a higher level, you want something thinner, to increase speed and precision. This is what you get with Fairtex, but if you are a heavy hitter, your should rather have solid joins and a forgiving partner. Especially in Thaïland, when sweat and heat accumulation tend to stiff leather both inside and outside.
Your reviews are great man! Also enjoy the at home training products ! like the water bag. So if you want 14 oz gloves get the 16oz from twin?
Yes that’s correct
Thank you for the quick response!! Appreciate man! Keep up the great content
Considering the quality for the price, would you recommend these for bag work for someone who is more into western-style boxing? If not, what model at a comparable price point would you best recommend? Thank you.
Hey Carlo, I have these for 3 years as my unique boxing gloves, and they are still in pretty good condition : the stitching is perfect, there isn't ONE thread broken, it's very impressive. The only thing that bother me with those thai gloves is how bulky they are (especially on the top of the hand).
However, sweat and heavy bag use had damaged them in the padding and the inside lining. Looking for new gloves I tried Elion Collection (full leather handmade in Thailand), but the padding isn't protective enough and the thumb is really exposed with these gloves, I'll keep them as bag gloves. So I am now considering Twins again, but the BGLL-1 this time. I guess they are less bulky and more adapted to regular boxing with a longer cuff and laces. It would be great if you can make a review on it one day.
For sure will do
Hey im looking for a pair of gloves, for all Round Which one Would you recommend
You should look into Twins lace up boxing gloves. It’s up there with Winning quality.
I’ll check them out
It would be interesting if you did a comparison video of Twins, Fairtex and Yokkao.
Sweet combos brah
Thanks!
Awesome video!!!
Thanks
Great video 👍🏼
Thanks! 🙏🏼
Compared to the topboxer Win1 gloves, how do you think the padding on the knuckles are? I've been debating to get another pair of topboxers but I'm curious about these Twins. I'm also Filipino and we're more or less the same in size/hand size.
The padding on these are more dense than win 1 and not as good feedback.
Go for topboxers. The comfort of twins might not be satisfying
@@acartaylan I did eventually get the Win1 gloves. Now I’m waiting for my custom Winnings to arrive 👍🏽
Best channel of the world
Thank you 🙏🏼
These were my first gloves when I was a newbie. Recently I have tried a new pair in a shop for fun. I seems they have added padding inside the hand, when everybody knows how bulky they are. Do you confirm ?
Yes
Hello bro i got a question for you
You recommend me this gloves, or cleto Reyes?
I’m asking because I will travel to Europe and I would like to buy some of them.
In my country I never can buy someone’s so I have to decide between this two brands
What's the difference between this and airflow? Which is better?
hey weird question but these gloves or the hayabusa s4? They have no correlation but those two I have a chance to pick them up locally from a friend and I need help choosing which one, they are both 16 ounces and im only gonna be using for the heavybag. Thanks !
Ive had these but love my fairtex more. Fairtex has this snap that I love
Nice
the leather piece inside the glove round the finger tips is genius
👍🏼🥊
Hi, do you prefer these gloves for Muay Thai than the other Muay Thai gloves you tried on? Thanks
I still prefer the yokkao matrix gloves, however these are still very nice.
Great review.
Thanks
@@csquaredboxing I have ordered a 14 oz pair apparently they stretch inside over time and my hand size is on the normal size. I was told that the padding in the 14 and 16 is negligible in difference and that I can spar with the 14s.
I train boxing but i want to buy those twins special, do u recommend me to buy it??? or definitly not for boxing?
Not for boxing, you could do better
My venum gloves have a very soft padding, if I hit someone they barely feel it. My opponents' gloves, full contact, katsudo, ben lee, are all harder. It's enough if he just pokes me with it and I can already feel the effect. Are the twins soft gloves?we sparring on 10 OZ. Twins are the best?
hey brother I bought some twins gloves from that website and it has been more than 5 months and they were never delivered... my question is how long did it took for you to get yours?
A little over a week
@@csquaredboxing thank you
Any plans on reviewing the lace up version of twins?
Maybe in a few months
Can you send the link where you bought im thinking about buying them
I' ve just bought twins, let see how quality they are. Anyway they sitting very well in my hand😀
Im in 147 pounds and 5'5. I bought 14oz twins and im planning tonuse them in mittwork and sparring. Is that a good for me or too big?
I’d go with 16 as they are very compact
Train with what you fight you in. Sparring obv 14oz and up
NICE VIDEO🔥
I am planning to buy a twins special (bgll1) 10oz My hand circumference is 8Inch and around 68-70kg do think it will fit?
It’ll fit but be snug
Thanks for the review on these pair of gloves. Since the 16 oz. are about 2 oz. lighter than what they are supposed to be, I was planning on getting the 18 oz. gloves because I want them to be 16 oz. However, I don't have big hands. So I am worried if I do buy the 18 oz. gloves that it will be too big for my hands. What should I do?
Get the buakaw 16 ounce gloves
@@csquaredboxing Is that still a Twins glove? Twins or Fairtex which do you prefer?
@@lutfiserbetci7049 I prefer twins instead of fairtex. Twins have way more padding and are nice and snug. Which fairtex are quite roomy and more of a punchers glove
Hi Carlos can u do a review on the twin special amateur style boxing gloves ?
I’ll try
Out of all the Muay Thai gloves which ones were the most broken in out of the box? Looking for a soft bulky glove for sparring but don't want to have to break them in much .
Buakaw for sure
@@csquaredboxing yea , was looking at those but looking for a more bulky glove for Muay Thai drills with people that don't know how to hold back head kicks.
Hey Carlo just curious how do these match up against Fairtex or Cleto Reyes as far as right fit and performance?
Cleto Reyes is super tight, whereas the Fairtex BGV1 is super loose & roomy - the latter are both made with latex foam which gives you good feedback but they aren’t that protective, now Twins hand compartment is right in the middle of Fairtex & Cleto Reyes, not too tight & not as loose, it also offers really good protection & is definitely a short cuff pillow glove, I hope this answers your question or any other concerns
would you recommend buying them off Amazon? I don't know if they're genuine on there though
As long as it’s from a verified vendor and they have good/ solid reviews then I don’t see why not
These are training gloves?
What would you pick for boxing? Venum Impacts or these Twins?
Impacts
@@csquaredboxing really? Venums are way cheaper than the Twins
What website do you get the gloves?
These have been my workhorse gloves for years hahahaah
I love these gloves but I always have to add extra wrap around my knuckles or they will be in pain after training or fighting.
Really? From my experience they're like pillows very protective around the knuckles
Jay Marcase
That's weird as they are one of the most padded gloves around
Can't form a proper fist in this gloves. You will be making contact with fingers not knuckles first.
Илья Матерухин that is exactly it! I was training last night and realized I was landing with my fingers and not my knuckles. I had to use so much force to bend the leather to make a fist it was tiring. Last time I use these.
@@jaymarcase9737 I have the same issue! I've been using crappy 8oz gloves (my hands are very small) on the heavy bag, and when i finally got a 10oz pair of twins they felt like rocks hitting the bag... also definitely harder to make a fist. I'm wondering whether I should have gone the 12oz, but they were so loose on my hands when I tried them on. Hopefully they will break in because they were pricey!
Why are gloves advertised as a certain weight when actually being a couple ounces lighter ? Great videos btw !
Mostly accountability and customers not caring too much about it in regards to training gloves. Some of the larger companies churn out larger quantities of gloves and don’t weight them out so the advertised weight to what they really weigh is off. Combine that with the customer not either caring about the weight enough for them to stop using them and repeat process. Most companies just use weight for actual glove and padding size rather than ounces. Fight gloves are a different story as they are required to be on point with weight to be approved for a sanctioned bout.
@@csquaredboxing Thanks for the quick reply ! Definitely getting myself a purple pair of these beauties, just wondering if I should go with the 16(14) as supposed to the 14(12) I initially wanted to buy.. you know what I mean ?
No prob, I would go with 16 because theyre very compact even for my average sized hands
fairtex bgv 19 vs twins bgvla2 vs twins bgvl3.
which one should i get for bag work.
have weak wrist and a beginner.
What would be the best gove for these price points (30-50$) (50-100$) (100-150$) (200-300$) (300-400$) 400+
Hoopahgah got mine at 70, they are a local Aussie brand and I bought them straight off my gym
Nathan Woo i got genuine leather gloves from title for only 40-50$. I think that would be the best for the price range
My weight is 140lbs. How many oz have I to use for sparring? 12oz, 14oz or 16oz?
Thanks for your review, compared with TopBoxer Alien vs Twins BGVL3, which one is better?
They’re all great depends on what your preference is as they’re different gloves
What's the main difference between this model and the BGN version? The only difference I can spot is extra padding on the BGN version.
Haven’t tried the bgn version so couldn’t tell you
Carlo, do you have a video that details the difference between a boxing, muy tai and a kickboxing glove? please
Already have a comparison between Thai and traditional boxing glove on here

How would you compare these to other mexican boxing gloves?

hey bro! I just got the same one but my one is a bit weird. the hand made in thailand logo has “first quality 2013” as ur one shows nothing. is my one fake or something?
Best gloves out there
👍🏼🥊
Are these good for boxing fitness classes I want a glove that is not cheap and has good padding so I'm not feeling it when Im doind pad work
They’re decent
These were at the top of my list for muay thai gloves but I went to a store to try them on and they didn't fit too well.
I'm 5'10" and have above average sized hands for my size I think. Tried the 16 oz and my fingers were pushing on the edge of the finger compartment. Also felt difficult to make a fist and felt like I would be landing punches on my fingers instead of by knuckles.
Do you think this would get better over time after it gets broken in or is the length not something that will change?
Love the channel man!
Thanks I’d break them in more
@@csquaredboxing thanks!

@@waldocam10 Thanks for your reply! I got the Twins in 14oz but was shocked to how tight they are. Also, my pointy and middle finger were sticking out the padded area, and was afraid it might damage the stichting if I use them for a while. Will send them back and consider getting the Yokkaos
