I thought the books looked fine, I'm a woman myself and not gay so I really don't care about size that much. They are nit oak sexual they are player sexual: a) because it's cheaper to record lines for and they are lazy and cheap B) it's cheaper to write lines for and they are lazy and cheap C) god forbid a person be unable to romance a character on their playthrough and might have to rerolled a new character with a different race/gender/sexuality - a la DA 1/2/3 because that is not *inclusive* aka you get who you want regardless - it just comes at the cost of unique characters 4.5) also there will be no reason to replay this - that would require thought work and resources and they, altogether now, are lazy and cheap. This game IS inclusive, it gives a couple more options, you cam be whatever gender of play dough you want and gender identity, great - what it doesn't have is the depth to make this worthwhile or meaningful. If you are genuinely upset over a lack of big titties and hetero representation I have excellent news for you- 95% of games have both. This is one of like 5 rpgs, like 5 total, where that's an option An option, again, you don't have to so it. Be the big tittied hetero change you wanna see in the world. Make it happen princess.

It should be noted that Bioware has appointed (paid) "fans" (influencers for the most part) from the community to become "Bioware community council members" to relay marketing propaganda on Dragon Age. These affiliations with Bioware do not appear clearly and transparently among these influencers, they have just mentioned it in a tweet or a video. This lack of transparency creates real confusion on the UA-cam content that talks about the game. The content is for the most part totally complacent and informative. They scrupulously avoid formulating the slightest criticism or expressing a negative opinion, or even a nuanced one. I don't know if this UA-camr specifically is part of this council (to be verified), but some figures on UA-cam who have started making video content since Inquisition have become completely subservient to the interests of Bioware without ever specifying it. I think this says a lot about the rottenness of this community riddled with activists who practice the most dubious proximity with Bioware.
Eddie's the type of person that hears the criticism about the character creator allowing trans scars, vitiligo and pronoun selection, but not allowing players to make big muscular or curvy characters and think that people are just angry at everything. I don't give a flying pig that these people can have all those options, but when I can't make the character I want then I believe these options are a problem due to the unfairness and false inclusivity.
I also like how they spit out the "I am under no obligation by Bioware to say anything positive about the game" as if that doesn't sound like an NDA or legally prepared statement that these people had to swear by, right before they took their shots of EA kool aid

That was a HUGE shock to the community, regardless if you love or hate the game currently. As a Bioware fan since Baldur's Gate and a Dragon Age fan since its first introduction, I can say from what I've seen this game will be shit, worse than Andromeda and Anthem and I'm not even talking about the "message". The game just isn't there for me. 3 options to import from Inquisition? GTFO with that. Can't do anything with female body slides, sounds like dev laziness to me. Characters look like shit especially the darkspawn, lack luster dialog choices, combat looks like crap, can't control other characters. No VO talent of note, looks like they spent a hefty part of the budget to get Zimmer to do the score. Even the first game trailer was bad, it didn't do them any favors. But they did backtrack and gave us the combat trailer which showed the game in a slightly better light. Sadly looks like my journey came to an end in Inquisition. I'll just have to head canon what happened after it.

Indeed! I personally had a laughter meltdown when I realized that only 3 options can be "imported" from DAI, or should I say, Trespasser. At first I thought, oh, only 3? Yeah no way, there has to be more! Maybe some little inserts a'la Mass Effect where when you meet a certain character in game you get to choose what happened to them in your response... but yeah, heavy sniffing of hopium is what keeps me going at this point as I do not like almost anything I am seeing. The only positive thing I can say about Veilturd: it has awesome hair graphics. And music. Altho I miss Inon Zur, his tracks were magical. Hans lacks this magical flair, as his tracks are more bombastic. That's it so far. Oh and it has Solas but I have a feeling they will ruin his character entirely. Him being a member of the so hated "white male" race. 🤣 Bur yeah, good looking hair can only carry this game so far... 🤣

I grew up with baldurs gate, neverwinter nights, dragon age origins. I was there 3000 years ago. They can't say I'm not a fan, I was the reason they even have a development studio. I bought their games back when they were well written and offered novel roleplaying opportunities

I’m a female gamer and I play games for escapism and because I get more attached to fictional characters than real people. I don’t feel attacked or whatever. I feel that the creators have abandoned people like myself who are fans of DA. And replaced us with people who aren’t even fans or played the origins game.

But unless someone takes those way before puberty you always see there is something off. Honestly, I believe the weirdos are all included in the + part of the acronym, everything after the T is either redundant, not necessary to include, or made up nonsense at best. I’m looking forward to Dragon Age, but I hate the toxic positivity. EA knew what they were doing when they selected obsessive fans to play the game early and give reviews. Eddie has built a whole channel that revolves around Dragon Age, so his channels continued growth and success relies on the success of The Veilguard, are we really supposed to believe someone in that position is capable of being critically honest? I don’t trust anyone that doesn’t have even one single criticism of the game, this boy is a shill and while he may not have signed a contract demanding positive feed back, he did have his flights, accommodation and meals paid for so this whole thing was transactional regardless of what he says.

I really have no idea what's the fuss about that Veilguard game. People behave like new Dragon Age would be releasing, but this series ended up as a trilogy, there will be no more games because BioWare doesn't exist anymore, simple as that.
It wasn't wrong to hold out hope that they would have actually finished up the story from Inquisition. But after seeing that first video for Veilguard, I'm not even going to bother thinking about pirating this.

I thought the books looked fine, I'm a woman myself and not gay so I really don't care about size that much. They are nit oak sexual they are player sexual: a) because it's cheaper to record lines for and they are lazy and cheap B) it's cheaper to write lines for and they are lazy and cheap C) god forbid a person be unable to romance a character on their playthrough and might have to rerolled a new character with a different race/gender/sexuality - a la DA 1/2/3 because that is not *inclusive* aka you get who you want regardless - it just comes at the cost of unique characters 4.5) also there will be no reason to replay this - that would require thought work and resources and they, altogether now, are lazy and cheap.
This game IS inclusive, it gives a couple more options, you cam be whatever gender of play dough you want and gender identity, great - what it doesn't have is the depth to make this worthwhile or meaningful. If you are genuinely upset over a lack of big titties and hetero representation I have excellent news for you- 95% of games have both. This is one of like 5 rpgs, like 5 total, where that's an option

It should be noted that Bioware has appointed (paid) "fans" (influencers for the most part) from the community to become "Bioware community council members" to relay marketing propaganda on Dragon Age.
These affiliations with Bioware do not appear clearly and transparently among these influencers, they have just mentioned it in a tweet or a video. This lack of transparency creates real confusion on the UA-cam content that talks about the game.
The content is for the most part totally complacent and informative. They scrupulously avoid formulating the slightest criticism or expressing a negative opinion, or even a nuanced one.
I don't know if this UA-camr specifically is part of this council (to be verified), but some figures on UA-cam who have started making video content since Inquisition have become completely subservient to the interests of Bioware without ever specifying it. I think this says a lot about the rottenness of this community riddled with activists who practice the most dubious proximity with Bioware.

Clowns like this fail to realize its the die hard Dragon Age and Bioware fans who are being critical. As a Bioware fan since Baldur's Gate and a Dragon Age fan since its first introduction, I can say from what I've seen this game will be shit, worse than Andromeda and Anthem and I'm not even talking about the "message". The game just isn't there for me. 3 options to import from Inquisition? GTFO with that. Can't do anything with female body slides, sounds like dev laziness to me. Characters look like shit especially the darkspawn, lack luster dialog choices, combat looks like crap, can't control other characters. No VO talent of note, looks like they spent a hefty part of the budget to get Zimmer to do the score. Even the first game trailer was bad, it didn't do them any favors. But they did backtrack and gave us the combat trailer which showed the game in a slightly better light. Sadly looks like my journey came to an end in Inquisition. I'll just have to head canon what happened after it.

At first I thought, oh, only 3? Yeah no way, there has to be more! Maybe some little inserts a'la Mass Effect where when you meet a certain character in game you get to choose what happened to them in your response... but yeah, heavy sniffing of hopium is what keeps me going at this point as I do not like almost anything I am seeing.
The only positive thing I can say about Veilturd: it has awesome hair graphics. And music. Altho I miss Inon Zur, his tracks were magical. Hans lacks this magical flair, as his tracks are more bombastic. That's it so far. Oh and it has Solas but I have a feeling they will ruin his character entirely. But unless someone takes those way before puberty you always see there is something off. That being said, I don't believe changing ones gender is the solution to most people, I went through one or the other gender dysphoria too. The human brain is weird in some way, it takes your brain up until you're 25 until it really is "adult". I am probably not alone having had doubts what my place in the world is.

What kills me about people like that, who feel like their opinion is fact, is that the criticism for stuff like Veilguard is rooted in bigotry or racism. Same stuff about The Acolyte, the Star Wars show, where people can't just have negative takes when it comes to poor writing or design. Veilguard is exhibiting both, it's angering long time fans of the series and of Bioware. They need to get over themselves just because the game supports superficial character options.
It would be strange for community around Veilguard to somehow be completely free of the usual societal prejudices, wouldn't it? And it very obviously is not. To pretend there is no anti-trans bigotry around the game is as ludicrous as claiming all the criticism is bigotry. Neither things are true.

I’m looking forward to Dragon Age, but I hate the toxic positivity. EA knew what they were doing when they selected obsessive fans to play the game early and give reviews. I really have no idea what's the fuss about that Veilguard game. People behave like new Dragon Age would be releasing, but this series ended up as a trilogy, there will be no more games because BioWare doesn't exist anymore, simple as that.
