Glad I could help. Lol I don’t even work with ptacs anymore. 1.5yrs ago I started working in the engineering dept of a big casino hotel. Not ptacs. Boiled/chilled actuators are my life now. Which is easy since I’m formerly a union plumber 😂
Just wanted you to know you saved me so much grief at work this is the best explanation. The way the other maintenance guys were trying to show me was just unnecessarily difficult
You’re very welcome. When I originally looked this up the video I found was pretty unclear. And the guy actually backtracked a couple times. Thus the reason I made my own. Glad I could help
@@nickgartzke it’s been a couple years since I’ve worked with Amana ptacs. Is the unit you’re trying to sync with a wire thermostat equipped with the receiver? It’s an optional piece of equipment that doesn’t come with the unit from the factory. At least the last time I ordered one

I know this is a stupid question but this is for a wireless thermostat right? Do you have a tutorial for a wired Amana thermostat? I can’t get the heat to kick on
Works on the newest generation of Amana brand ptacs and the previous generation. The newest has a dual motor setup with a left to right blower assembly and the last gen had a single large motor that spun both front and rear fan blades
I have used this video every time I've needed to do this, it's so fast and simple, no BS intro, no extra stuff. Absolutely perfect.

Your a life saver. Sharing this with all my engineers. Thank you

My thermostat is set at 68, says auto heat. It's 55 outside but does not come on
What am I doing wrong?
Do I have the thermostat set correctly. I have to go up to 80 for it to turn on
I really needed this thank you
Because it gets hot in Arizona
You are a hero. Just saved both me and a Hilton hotel a hell of a headache.
:) former chief engineer of a Hilton garden inn in Omaha ne myself. Glad I could help
Great video!
Great tutorial mate! Thx a bunch!
Glad it helped!
Make sure the thermostat sensor is off the floor and or wiggle it to get this to work ya.
much LOVE ❤❤❤❤
Do you have to use an Amana thermoset or can you any off the shelf unit
When I hold down the off button I don't get "L". I get "nA", what does that mean? I can't find any info on that code anywhere?

Help! When I hold the blue and red arrows, double click off, the C1 button does not show up. Just a dash. What should I do?
So simple and clear ! Although I don't get the 'L' like you do, I get 'NA' so I cant sink my thermostat. Any suggestion ?
Your ptac has the appropriate setup? The remote module that doesn’t come installed on the ptac?

I literally couldn't figure out why the heater would only work at 80 and above but the wall would not go that high 🎉
will this work for all models and makes these instructions?

i rest the trip on the plug but there is still no power to the unit
Was there power to the gfi? Check the circuit breaker for the wall outlet?
Well so far I don't see an answer or dolution😢
A solution to? My video only shows how to re-sync a wireless thermostat. This isn’t a general troubleshooting guide to Amana ptac problems.
Mine says Na when I do that😢 anyone knows what to do ?
Having same problem. Did you figure it out?
@@PaulRodriguez9 mine too. Did you figure it out?
@@adamvos5348 yeah, there should be a plugin with cord that hooks into to the coil. Mine wasnt plugged into the circuit board.
Mine is on the wall but wired to the unit. I'm getting more frustrated by the minute. Someone please help
