Trail Running In Cape Town

- Over the course of three days, I head all over Cape Town in an attempt to find a location for a 'safari' style setting for a fun upcoming project! I visit Rietvlei, Koeberg Nature Reserve, Kirstenbosch Gardens & Khwa Ttu up the West Coast :) This is why I love my job...the places that it takes me to!

Another location option is Signal Gun farm in Durbanville, they do short game drives with Zebra, Springbok, Wildebeest etc on the farm. Still not really Lowveld substitute scenery wise since there are that many trees around. But the view from top of the hills is worth the trip since you get Table Mountain, the flats, West Coast and Stellenbosch winelands in one awesome panoramic view.
AFAIK Fairy Glen outside Worcester is the closest Big 5 safari reserve to Cape Town, but never been there so no idea how it is.

Fantastic vlog. Loved seeing kirstenbosh. Pity it's so expensive to get in for the day. I'm not a member and my dad's ashes are there. Will go soon to visit him. Loved the vlog and look forward to more vlogs. Are you and Blair married now. U said honeymoon. Or am I mistaken. My youngest daughter of 30 has been asked by her boyfriend for hand in marriage as well. She has the ring now they going innoctober somewhere for the proper proposal. Hi Mary :) Thank you! It is quite expensive, it’s R80 per person for the day but might be worth it to look into how much a SANBI card will cost if you’re planning on going often. What a beautiful, calm places to scatter your Dad’s ashes!

Hi Ahmed. As with any big city, you need to take precautions but many of the statistics that you might be reading are gang-related violence and take place in places that tourists typically would never visit. With that being said, Cape Town does have a higher crime rate than many other cities in Europe for example, but it is sensationalised by international news and in my opinion, isn't something that you need to stress about when visiting.
