I thought the same thing when I saw one of these videos I bought the 24 pack off Amazon for $16 used two of them in my 30 year old Kenmore 80 series washer.... nothing came out 🤷🏻‍♂️ now that could be because I'm such an immaculate housekeeper that my laundry tub never actually had a chance to get dirty in the last 30 plus years of use... or the stuff didn't work...

Just do some research on good washing machine cleaners. They do help a lot. I've never used this brand but I buy the SE Grocers brand and use them like once a month. They help a lot. We bought our washer used and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned on a while. I used one pack of the SE Grocers and you could see and smell the difference specially on the drum. I ended up using it twice just to be safe. I wish I knew how much it works beyond the drum. I can only imagine how much cleaner the rest of it is judging by how clean the drum gets.

I have one of those washers, and when we replace we are going back to a front loader. Front loader is great, especially for large comforters. Top loader with an agitator, clothing and sheets are fine. Top loader with the plate instead of an agitator ties all of my skinny kid's jeans and pajama pants into massive knots, and stretches bedsheets across the drum so they don't slosh and wash or rinse well.
And the matching dryer, which has 4 fins in the drum instead of 3, doesn't dry clothes because the clothes won't tumble. Instead the dryer collects the clothes into bunches held between the fins and sets in massive wrinkles. Three fins only in the dryer drum from now on.

    thank you for the advice.😊😊
ever since I watched this short months ago,
    I'd used a washer active tablet weekly/biweekly.
no more weird smell coming from my front load washer.
also,I'll make sure that I use almost the recommended amount of concentrated detergent and skip using the cloth softener in most washes.
    many thanks again.😊😊

I bought a box of those tablets based on this video and have been running them through my LG frontloader for several months, 2x a month. I run 2 tablets and run it with hot water on heavy duty, and I let the washer drain into a bucket when it finishes the wash cycle, and I find sediment and bits that are expelled every time; nothing compared to the first couple times I did this. I plan on doing the 2x tablets until most or all of the sediment or crud goes away. I've got another box on my shopping list as I'm nearly out.
Probably not as good as a full disassembly, but it seems to be doing something. I've also since switched to vinegar as a fabric softener. Wife still prefers real fabric softener for the scent (we do our laundry separately).
Don't use the tub clean, at least not on an LG - I found that it fills the drum, seems to swish it around for maybe 10 minutes, and then dumps it. Heavy duty wash cycle keeps it in there for a good 45 minutes. More mileage per tablet.

I once owned a wash plate machine. That clean washer cycle was designed for those specifically. A full fill agitator washer basically cleans the tub every time you wash. Run hot water washes and occasional bleach loads. They are your friends.

@@derrickwith2rs always some haters on youtube. You have given a lot of good advice and instructions that save a lot of people time and money. You are a rockstar sir. Keep up the good work. I had to use two of these and do some work to clean out the adjitator because one of my roommates uses a lot of fabric softener and that stuff was caked on. After cleaning that off the tablets took care of the rest and did a damn good job. My clothes smell a lot better now. Thanks again.

My washer ever since I owned it the rinse water looked like mud. It was so bad it clogged up my drain. I thought at sometime I thought it would stop but it never did. I put dawn in it, 409, grease lightning. Nothing cleaned it out. I saw this add, bought this product and boy was I supposed , one flushing the rinse water was clear! Believe it or not. I love this product.

Weird thing, but I lived with my brother for 6 months at his newly bought home to do some repairs the home needed. We had a ton of fun, doing every repair. I’m 27 and he’s 34 and it was like we were little kids still. Anyways my sister in law never let us in with dirty clothes in the house so each night we would change in the garage and put our dirty stuff in the washer. He had the exact washer that’s in this video, so it reminded me of all the awesome times we had during those six month. My brother ain’t dead or anything lol I haven’t seen him in two months, but still I miss the old bastard greatly.
