You'll love it! It's a really cool park, but you definitely need to time it to get the right lighting to really enjoy the canyon walls. It just feels dull in the middle of the day for some of the canyons. Are you staying in the campground? We did a quick campground review as well so you can see what the spots look like. Absolutely wonderful and crazy!!!! What wonderful memories y'all are creating for us too!!! RVing full time looks amazing - you have seen so many incredible parks/locations, helping us learn about many locations we want to go to, great tips for each area, and even some we won't try to go to, but will live vicariously through you all!!!! The privilege of being able to see the whole country, while working, is a true blessing that many of us would only dream of !!!
Love the term "cutie patootie" for kids, lol. Used to use that on my kids all the time! Painted wall is pretty dang amazing. The Lusitania postcard looked cool. Sorry you got left in jail, lol!!!!
His cousin was the first to call him that at about 3 weeks old and it stuck! The whole park really was amazing, you just HAVE to do it at golden hour because the midday sun bleaches out the canyons a bit.
I'm impressed by how much you accomplished in one day. The stargazing can be improved by timing your trip in conjunction with predicted meteor showers. Keep up the good work!

Great video! We plan on visiting early October, what time of day did you go down East Portal Road, early AM? Do you know if that road is open 24x7? Thank you in advance
I believe the East Portal Road is primarily closed once snow starts coming, but I don't remember if it closes at all during the day/night before then. I don't remember the exact time we drove it, but I believe late morning. That drive did not depend on the light quite as much as other sites do like Painted Wall or the Sunset Point

It was a last second trip so we unfortunately couldn’t plan for the best time. That sounds awesome though and we definitely want to visit again!
