I think a lot of people are missing the point of this car. It’s not supposed to be fast. It’s quick but far from fast. This car is supposed to be a fun and engaging car to drive on good roads and at an affordable price for the average person. I just turned 20 and bought myself one of these. There isn’t a lot out there that’s new, this reliable, and this engaging that someone my age with my financial status can realistically afford. I love this car with all my heart.
They're not reliable. Honda reliability doesn't exist on their turbo cars. Very few turbo cars are actually reliable. You're confusing old Honda reliability with the new stuff. I've been a Honda guys since the mid nineties and I still have 3 Hondas RN ,but these new turbo cars aren't reliable. My 22 Si blew its motor at 10k miles bone stock just driving on the freeway for no reason. Honda couldn't figure it out. The valve covers leak,the power steering is having issues,the turbos are blowing seals,the AC lines are leaking......just to name a few things. Fun,yeah maybe while under warranty but so is any BMW 💀

Fr i think people forget theres people racing stock miatas out there and they are going around the track faster than people in high HP cars. These cars are not meant for straight line speed but are meant for spirited driving and good around corners.
Kind of a bummer to be honest. One of my favorite cars I ever owned was my first 8th gen si. It was a 2008 and with bolt ons and a custom tune it out down 232/179. I get the torque number on these cars today but I have a feeling my 8th gen would have drug one of these. Lighter and revving out to 8000 was just a dream. Maybe I’m factually wrong on the 8th being faster, but that was also 15 years ago. In 15 years the gti today makes 350 whp with similar bolt ons and a tune and I was smoking the gtis back then left right and center. Those cars needed a big turbo to keep up with mine and I don’t think there’s anything an 11th gen civic could do to keep up with a bolt ons gti. Sad!
They used an off the shelf tune which doesn’t do much. But if they do a pherable tune or tsp stage 2 tune it will be more like 255-300 hp and over 300 tq. Im guessing crank not whp and wtq
If any modern 2 wheel drive car is more than 15% loss something is very wrong. 20% maximum for awd maybe up to 25% but that’s it. 45% is fucking insane there is no way
@@timprice8877 look it up. 2wd is mostly around 15% these days. They have proven it on civics, brz(86), focus st, etc lots of 2wd platforms are very efficient. Awd is worse. Closer to 25% due to the additional diffs and axles
These cars make arpund 185whp stock. Ktuner made 195 with just a tune. And 216whp upping the boost. They made 234whp with E30 using their flex fuel setup. This car most likely is pump gas and no boost increase, so 224whp isn't bad coming from 185ish.
These Actually Aren’t Bad Gains. I’m More Interested In The Torque Increase As These Motors Are Under Square From The Factory. Perhaps a Retune and Some Bigger Injectors May Yield Even Better Results? Either Way, Certainly Not Bad, But There Is Most Definitely Room For Improvement!
don't be stupid. The car makes 200 bhp stock, this car is making 240-250 bhp with these upgrades. That translates to 224 whp. remember, these manufacturers use bhp in their official numbers

I’d rather get a 2020 or 2021 Honda Accord 2.0 for about the same price and have over 250 at the wheels, get the similar parts from PRL also, but I have a KTuner Volume 2, and would put a flex fuel kit, and also have an RV7 down pipe. With other supporting mods you’re looking to get about 500+ hp with proper tuning. And that’s very impressive imo. Even PRL made a vid on how to make 500hp for the 10th Gen Accords that I mentioned on thei IG and TT

My 2008 Civic Si made 220whp, How does this 2022 Civic Si turbo only make 224whp, I know the turbo on these 11th gens are tiny but I thought the torque would be higher then that lol My focus ST has tiny stock turbo k03 & it still made really good torque on the dyno 352ftlb of torque.

Because these guys are ass at tuning. The 10th and 11th gen si can make like 245whp with a decent tune. Also you gotta remember the focus st is a 2.3 and this Honda is a 1.5. The 08 si is a 2.0. So yeah it’s got a turbo but it’s also a tiny engine.
Makes me glad I didn’t get one. I was going to buy an Si over the WRX for reliability and resale, but dealers wanted $45K for one. Got a WRX for $32K and it came with 240 WHP or so. Intake, catback, and a pro tune alone netted me 308 AWHP…. These new WRXs are tuning like VW and Audis, HUGE gains for basic mods.

The stock twin scroll turbo doesn’t breathe well at higher RPMs and the engine has a very short stroke for low end torque. You can easily make 300lb-ft of torque at 4,000RPM from the 100% stock L15 though.

Seems similar to my FiST platform. Tune wakes the motor up, all other mods are for stability/reliability/keeping temps in check when driven hard.

Someone needs to tell me if there are any boot axel modification for fwd cars. I see modifications of all types for power yet rarely see any practical functional real world set up...
Drive shaft shop sells upgraded cv axles but honesty if you’re not putting down like double the original hp you’ll be fine.
All that’s extra added mode part and money spent to it it’s only make 24 extras horsepower
