Yes! The movements are the same as on the original, it is just shorter.

Hi, unfortunately I dont know much about the megane 1.4. I think it should fit the 1.6, but I dont know if they have the same shifter linking to the gearbox.
alguém sabe como regular o varão??? estou com o shortshifter aqui mas preciso urgente regular o varão
solta o parafuso do varão, engata a ré e parafusa dnv. Talvez não engate a 5a, dai tem que ficar tentando ir pra frente e pra trás um pouco até ficar 100%
pra frente pra trás = o parafuso do engate do varão lá
How do you shift into reverse becasue there is nothing to hold the cable on the new shifter
Hi, it works exactly as the original one. I do not think there are cables in this transmission.
@@computerslasagnas thanks for replying but do you have an email or instagram i can send you a picture when you shift into reverse you have to pull up on the shifter and theres a cable attached that allows you to go into reverse. I have a 2004 reanult clio expression 1.2

Where do you put the reverse cable ?
Hi! There is no reverse cable in this car. it's just another movement on the gear lever. The movement is still the same as the original. FOr putting it in reverse you just need to pull the lever and put it to the upper left.
@@computerslasagnas You have the shifter, the axle/bolt and what the third part is and where it goes ?
@@taopage9629 its the shifter, the bolt that goes into the shifter, and the other part (with a sphere) goes between the linking and the gearbox. That part is what really makes it "shorter".

Na ponta do varão tem um pino que encaixa no short shifter. No meu carro esse pino é fixo no varão e não tem como substituir. Talvez em outros carros seja possível. Esse short shifter é o mesmo para alguns meganes etc
@@computerslasagnas então basicamente é só trocar a alavanca mesmo, não tem que mexer no câmbio... Tem uns que dizem que tem que mexer e não sei mais o que
@@CarlosHenriqueNoronhadeAguiar Tem que mexer sim. Tem aquela peça dourada que vai no trambulador. Ela que na verdade é o que da o efeito de "curto".
em 0:56 do video tem 2 peças. a da esquerda é um pino que não é utilizado. A da direita é a do trambulador.

Amigo, ai é a parte complicada. Que é regular tudo. Tenho duas hipoteses: i) tua manopla tem que permitir que o metal passe por cima da parte de plastico na esquerda. ii) Se não for a primeira opção tem que regular o varão. Tem que desparafusar lá embaixo do carro engatar a ré manualmente e depois parafusar novamente (tive que fazer infinitas vezes até ficar bom).

Oi Marvin, Comprei no Ebay. Mas nem vou recomendar o vendedor pois tive uma série de problemas com ele. Não enviou a manopla, etc.

I bought it from eBay. It is pretty good. A little too stiff at the beginning but it improves over time. The only issue is to properly calibrate the shifter rod to have both 5th gear and reverse. It takes some time to adjust that but it ends great.

Não tenho 100% de certeza, mas acho que serve. Provavelmente o varão do câmbio é igual.
