This is such good advice, I always used to paint in fear of when my next mistake was going to happen but once you learn to overcome that and paint more losely and freely, your ability to create opens up, at the end of the day, very few if any mistakes can't be fixed. Great as always Dru
wow, transparent pant? I took Dru's class 15 years ago and it was all opaques and color matching. I guess he's finally come over to the dark side! haha Well, I know he hasn't abandoned opaques. First search I even did on him just now after 15 years. Was always amazed by the details and realism back then. Then digital overtook the airbrush for commercial art, I believe. So... now it's prob only commercially viable to do fine art or portraits. I assume. or teach.

I've done this for so long and I've really been trying to change it. It's a hard habit to break.
