  • I recently shot a wedding with the Sony A7c, having used it now for video and photos I give my experience using the camera and if I think it would be suitable for other people looking to create content. I also share a few lenses I use and what would go well with this compact body.

I would love to see how you have your settings set up just to get an idea of what I should go for. Will be shooting wedding events but also working with artists shooting music videos. Any tips?

Hey man, so very simple setup, I have two custom presets. One 24 fps 4k generally for the longer speeches or ceremony. Then one 60fps 1080p for any slow motion/ cinematic shots I will get. Adjust WB on the fly and both setup to PP1 for an easy colour grade ☺️

Thank you🙏 Mostly the Tamron 28-75 2.8🔥 If I need to go wide I will use the Tamron 17-28 2.8 too☺️

Ha ha another video I’m looking to make soon, I would love to upgrade to the A7c II if it has certain video features and depending of the small body will manage all that power without overheating. A few things Sony have struggled with before. Will drop a vid with all the reasons and things I’m looking for soon ☺️ Thanks for the comments and questions🙏

@@simplynickza3583 it will most likely have the 10bit 4:2:2 you’re looking for, better AI driven AF, and a front dial. But it’ll likely have worst battery life and heat management than the A7c original. But the real dilemma is A7C2 or A7CR?

Really depends what you need and budget too, a great one would be Tamron 17-28 with the 28- 75 f2.8. That’s would comer all your weeding needs. Unless you want to shoot primes. 👍

I just bought an a7c and the lcd screen looks a little bit pink. And when I see my photos in the vf I see them ok. Is this normal in this camera?

I haven’t experienced anything like that before. If it’s not affecting your final images then it might be an LCD issue or bad copy. If you just got it I would take it back and get it checked against another copy just to be sure. Generally the Sony cameras lean more towards the green side of the spectrum.
