I love George Burns! He was the best. I'm sure he's cracking up everyone in heaven. Both him and Gracy.
ICONIC !! ...What he says @0:48 is RIGHT ON !! He was truly a sharp man !! I am now 55 and remember much of his last 25 years ! Thank you Mr. Burns !
He is so cool, Class act George Burns
George is fabulous ...one of my favorite ...brilliant, genuis ...real pro!
George's performance in the classic God movie series are iconic! He perfectly solidified the essence of the supreme being, his messages of goodness and his lessons were amazing. Only somebody of George's class could've took that role and those films will always to me be the films that best defined George burns.
His wit at 94 is incredible. A legend and a genuine class act.
Chris AA It was similar with Groucho Marx; very funny and sharp all the way into his eighties!
This Was Recorded Off Of WWOR-TV Channel 9 In Secaucus, NJ On Tuesday January 2, 1990, This was the day after WWOR joined the 2 other superstations (WGN & WTBS) by having a syndex schedule on their national feeds. For WWOR: "Arsenio Hall" which had aired at 11:30pm before the syndex rule applied, now had reruns of "Comedy Tonight" & "Jack Benny" in place of "Arsenio Hall".
George Burns! Legend!
You'd guess he was 70 years old from how good he looks and his incredible way of talking. It's a shame Gracie couldn't have grown old with him.
younger...
He's been in the show business for 85 years! My!!!!
I miss this era of Hollywood and stars
Why did people say Arsenio Hall was a brown noser? He is a GREAT interviewer, viewing a cultural icon, George Burns, even greater interview R.I.P. George Burns and to his beloved Gracie, his wife
Yeah, Arsenio did a Fantastic job with this interview. He was a natural who was genuinely interested in what his guests had to say, and would have been a FAR MORE suitable host for the Tonight Show than the giggling, no -talent snit they have now.
@@Gods2ndFavoriteBassPlyr yeah I totally agree Arsenio was very very good. I watched and he did very good stuff and I wished he was still doing it today!!
my comedian george burns, he died in 1996 he was 100 years old, god bless him for living that long, RIP george burns, my favorite movie from him is oh god (1977), john denver died in 1997 at the age of 53, RIP john denver
George Burns and Gracy Allen were the greatest!
George Burns didn't just "do" it... he "Was it". He absolutely owned any stage he was on until the day he folded his hands across his chest and left the planet. Here, he's not only smoking his cigar... he's smoking the brilliant young comic sitting next to him. I hope Arsenio was taking notes... "Can't just "do" it.. have to "Be" it. And George certainly was.
I almost could not breathe after that comment about his fans can't walk. LOL
Legend. Period.
Talk about childhood JOY 😍
God the og!
You have the complete interview?
Oldest skydiver
Arsenio was the worst
"Do you remember the first joke you ever told?" Stupid question to a 94 yo legend
Yes Generallt Arsenio was not the best interviewer at that time(Letterman/Carson/Costas,Obrien?), however in this case respect and restraint were appropriate here. He did not interrupt and allowed The elder Burns to elaborate on his own. He may have missed one or two cues from Burns, but he must have been very nervous too, he as a (very good standup) comedian was acutely aware of the historical importance of George Burns. Not a stupid question, it was an honest one.
