Patrick, my friend Monica and I visited this nursery a couple weeks ago based on your recommendation. I was visiting from out of town, driving a rental car to meet Monica at Martinez, and it was quite the odyssey. It took me three hours to make what should have been a 30-minute drive. But SO worth it! Monica and I spent nearly two hours there and could have easily spent another two. The quality, the variety, the prices...everything was perfection. We made sure to tell the owners that you were the reason we knew about Martinez, and planned a shopping trip there! Thank you! 💚
Awww I’m so glad you and your friend had a great time plant shopping over here! And super glad you enjoyed Martinez, their nursery is so much fun to peruse and shop, and the family is really nice too! Thanks for sharing that with me! It made my day! 💚
My kid sitting here in the living room with me- he goes imagine if you went looking for the other section and it was a joke they just wanted to see how long you’d be outside the parking lot looking for it. Haha 😂 I said oh no plant people walk laps everywhere make sure we see it all.
We have a huge covered outdoor area and I fill it with houseplants. Spider plants are cheap, easy to divide, easy to gift, and look awesome with minimal effort on my part. I do love my philodendrons and monsteras but really, spider plants for the win
Thank you for the peaceful and fun video! I have a Zebrina and she has a new leaf ready to unfurl! That is always exciting when any of my plants grow! You will be a great Zebrina dad! Hugs!
Thank you for showcasing Martinez Nursery. I actually stopped there and picked up 2 Alocasia Stingrays for my collection. I hope they survive. I may have over-watered them as the leaves are turning yellow. Keeping an eye out for them. Keep the great videos coming.
Hi Patrick such an amazing nursery and u keep showing me these Hoyas and know how I wish I was there to buy them. You did select some good plants the astrophytum asteria is my favorite. Thanks again for sharing.
I have a zebrinaxfrydek hybrid, I'd love to have a regular zebrina , I have the regular frydek( not the variegated). I love your tours of the nurseries ❤
I got to go plant shopping today, it was long overdue, it had been months, I found the not so much your fave red Maranta hanging basket, a Staghorn fern finally , in a hanging basket, and a Hoya Chelsea in a hanging basket. So I’m good for a few more months, 😂 plant videos keep me from going crazy, we’ll plant crazy 😜
Oh my gosh I wish I could keep the smaller leaved ferns alive in the house, my mom and dads next door Neighbor has 3 every year and the get like 3.5-4 foot long , they are stunning
Yay for plant shopping!!! Lol!! That’s an exciting haul!! Lucky you found a Chelsea! And large ferns are so beautiful! The bigger they are the easier and stronger they are! 😍
@@RoseR7997 it is! But in winter the side of it facing into the room tends to go brown from the low light while the side facing the window is this lush green. Its like Jeckle & Hyde! 😅 all my windows in this apartment are north facing. But today I have started an experiment. I have placed a light over the plant. I am going to see if its going to do anything. Not anything fancy, just your regular old reptile bulb.. But its full spectrum I believe. Had that on hand already so trying it. I like doing experiments. I am actually shocked my fern does so well. Had it since early last spring.
I was in the LBC last month. Wish I knew about this nursery. Prices are amazing. Next time I’m in town definitely need to visit, just need to figure how to bring these babies back to TX.
Beautiful and your choices are amazing! Thank you for the greenhouse tour, we don't have many places like that here! Upstate New York is hard for greenhouses! 😊😍
we have a invasive creeping charley. what a head ache omg lol. it has blue tiny flowers. and a similar leaf shape . and grows anywhere and everywhere. so hard to get rid of. also i have seen a few other invasives being sold as house or potted plants . (may not be a invasive in your zone im thinking) plants are wild like that some times. thanks tho patrick! keep on planty'ing lol.
Here are bones... 🍖 🍖 🍖 But why do you want bones when you like plants??? I don't get it. Oh! Before I forget I want to tell you I have seen actual BANANA TREES growing here! Outside!! Can you believe that? They are in these big huge decorative pots outside a funeral parlor! But actual banana trees! But they are all dark green not the red marked ones in this video. But come cold weather they are surely going to die! 😞 so sad. And I have no idea where they get such plants from. Anyway today I had visited that little supermarket where I had bought my Boston fern from the other year (last spring actually) and I stopped in to look at their plants. They have a plant room off to the side. And I picked up another fern - sprengeri fern - this is my third fern now. It seems to be the most delicate of the 3 ferns I have. Very bushy. It sort of resembles carrot tops! 😅 and I also picked up a ponytail palm too. The ponytail was $14.99 and the fern was $6.99 ... I did see a few other interesting looking plants there so I may go back to pick up something else..! They also had lots of little cactus but they had those cancer warnings on the pots?? But the other plants didn't have any warnings on them? Have you seen cancer warnings on plant pots out there?? I thought it was kind of weird.
Thank you once again for taking us on your planty adventures 🪴😊I love that I learn the names of plants little by little so I can say: oh what a nice small red Anthurium you got there - to my boss - 👍🪴😉

@@Patadendron well with my autism I tend to take things literally. That is common with autism. So what does it mean then?
It’s so fun to watch you show off all the houseplants and succulents in all their glory. ❤️🪴
