- The exotic plants at Westminster Mall this weekend are plentiful! Orchids (of course), exotic Aroids, Begonias, Hoyas, Cacti and Succulents, fruit trees, carnivorous plants are all at the Westminster Mall for the Newport Harbor Exotic Plants and Orchids Festival! I haven’t stepped foot in this mall since last years event so it was cool to see my favorite vendors back this year: Unsolicited Plant Talks, Age of Foliage, and Andy’s Orchids! Newly added to my favorites list this year are Tuyen Orchids and Ricardo’s Nursery! There were so many vendors and they could all be my favorite, tbh. I always enjoy these mall adventures! Hopefully you do too!

Know what you mean about sensory overload. It’s great for UA-cam, hiding in the screen and get to see the variety of plants and their prices ✌️

I’m so glad you uploaded this! I wanted to go but couldn’t be bothered to drive up there. I laughed so hard when you couldn’t tell if it was bath and body works or the flowers that smelled good 😂
The begonia conchifolia is on my wishlist too after seeing it on Steve’s leaves. I was thinking of starting my begonia adventure with the quadricolor masoniana.
Conchifolia is super easy to grow love mine💚😍🌱🤗

@Kelsie Harris It’s a cool begonia! Steve’s leaves is the way to go! I love my masoniana! It’s also super easy and I have mine from when I first started getting into begonias!

I bought one of those “sunset” orchids a couple years ago as a rehab and I’ve gotten it to flower 2x so far. It’s lovely, but not super scented.

Are you giving it some direct sun? I give mine a couple hrs. I also bought dried red worms, in small pieces drop in pitcher. Distilled water too...😉good luck 🌱
@@cindyvan635 usually indirect bright light but I'll give it some direct on day off. Yes I do give dried red worm and only recently found out about rain water better for it. Thank you I appreciate the help 😊

I usually find out when they announce them on Instagram!
Hi Pat, I have a question. I have a massive Philodendron Verrucosum ( at least 24" newest leaves). But it does not have fuzzy petioles. They are blushed reddish with a sandpapery texture in light green dashes. Should I be calling it something other than Verrucosum?
It could be a subspecies of verrucosum! There are so many out there... 24" leaves WOW 😍💕
