Same. Now the more times I watch the more red flags I see in Angel/the Bangel relationship I could never ship them ever again. Besides, the way Spuffy was portrayed in the continuation comics... My God, they're perfect for each other!
@@Ninjamaus2By "in the show" you mean on TV? As in not in the comics? If so, Buffy definitely saw it as such. There are more than enough refrences that point to that.
Imo, the last episode really shows who really loved her the way she should have been loved... While she choose to save Angel (refusing to let him wear the Amulet in the final battle) Spike decides to die for her and her friends.. Spike in my opinion deserved better.
@@x.mistra.x Buffy didn't choose to save Angel. She wasn't sure who to give it to yet at this point. And she didn't know it would kill Spike to begin with. Angel told her it takes someone stronger than a human to wear the amulet - this would imply that whoever wears it should be okay so long as they're stronger than a human. Also, Buffy needed Angel in LA in case she loses in Sunnydale. In the end she chose Spike to be her champion, she gave him the chance to prove and redeem himself - that's what it was really about. Wearing the amulet was HIS choice. He needed it. The rest I 100% agree with.
I will say it again , angel loved Buffy after getting his soul back and tried to kill her when he didn't have it, spike fell in love with her without his Soul and after getting it back . Was it toxic at times yes did they have eachothers backs in the end and get character development before getting his soul back and after yes

Not gonna lie, I wasn’t a shipper of these two at all at first few times watching this show (like… 10 times) but with your videos of them, and the eleventh rewatch or so, it’s rlly making me feel things for them. I love how you capture their connection and chemistry. They’re something so wild about them and you show that superbly here. Great work :)

If you read the summary of the series written as Rupert Giles' notes on his adventures basically being her adoptive daddy; he rightly didn't approve of this fake marriage she had developed with him, having engaged in the marital act... it is kind of, if set in say "Fiddler on the Roof" that her stepdad doesn't agree with her having a lover; simple as that- if for no other reason than such a fake union will inevitably destroy her virtue. In short, because I'm with him, I'm with her against her misbehavior; simple as that.
It was *not* a mistake, Miss Elizabeth "Buffy" Summers; it was a *betrayal* of your calling, pure and simple: you shirked your duty for a night with your lover in rough, physical, lustful, intimacy and fooling around. It was *disgusting* in the extreme what you and he did, and hinted at far less sane and safe at all; there is a *curse-word* that describes what you and he were doing that is better off left unsaid- about physically hurtful sexual intimacy... but that's better off left unsaid. Yeah, you betrayed your task, and your very integrity as an individual; William Shakespeare hinted at that kind of stupid intimacy, I believe, in his plays when he says that a night of passion betrayed a man's job for his own survival.

I agree. It was toxic and unhealthy but in the end they did genuinely love each other.
