IsiZulu is the most spoken Nguni Language in SA 🇿🇦 FOLLOWED BY isiXhosa and rest 9 languages. Johannesburg the main language is Zulu FOLLOWED BY SESotho, setswana, English and Afrikaans, and In Durban KZN Zulu English and Xhosa😊. You will learn Zulu quickly it's so easy
Your video so true sister stay bless 🙏🏿
Thank you! You too!
Amazing thing about languages in South Africa, is that there are literally millions of people that are multi lingual. Even young kids can speak multiple languages. I would say that most people in South Africa can speak at least 3 or more languages (maybe even more than 3).
❤❤ Americans also really fall in love with Cape Town 😍 especially with the 🍷 wine farms 🚜 and polo games available in Paarl, Franshoeok side...🎉🎉
If a certain former US ambassador opted to remain in South Africa after his assignment ended that alone speaks volumes. Also there's alot of Americans living in Pretoria .
u the one of strong wamen ever see wishing u the best and wllcme home my sister
I like your transparency and objectivity. You speak like a professor. Are you a lecturer. Well polished.
Yes I’m
Definitely looking to move to South Africa. I’m trying to plan a trip to come
Visit first
Great idea!
I'm definitely thinking of moving to Africa someday ❤
Gotta give it to you. I don’t think I agree with you politically but you got up and moved for your beliefs.I’m on the other side completely but props for that.
Yes even though we have downs we don't dwell on it we vibrate on the highest level and learn from the downtimes.
Hello,
Happy for you and your family. After reading the 4-Hours Work Week, I am here doing research for when I am ready to visit SA and possibly move there. 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
Great video. Ashley, you look amazing today (always) and your skin is so nice and radiant.
Oh thank you!
Taking you up on that Zulu lesson...I'm a Zulu woman, traveling entrepreneur, currently living in Reunion Island learning French and Kreole, excited to do a skills trade
I don't always agree with what you have to say, for example the whole BRICS thing, but I respect your honesty and opinion. No nation is flawless, this one is probably the most flawed, but it's home.
The fact that we don’t have to agree is the best part. Thanks for you comment
Absolutely
South Africa is definitely the most flawed. “The Land of Lawlessness” is literally all I see until I stumbled upon this delusional channel.
I wish to move to the mother land too. I don't have alot of money but on this part of your show I must agree we shouldn't have to keep proven ourselves...I'll wait to hear from you.
Im "mixed race" 21, and still living with a parent, i want to live in africa more than words can explain
Hello sister; I just found you yesterday and love your content. I am a born Zulu sister and am happy to teach you my language. However I’m currently living in the U.K. and did what you’re doing, more than 20 yrs. I visit home yearly and will join your tribe as I’m trying to transition and return home permanently
Ah first 15 seconds and you gave us the answer I'm most definitely watching the rest of the video now
Thank you Ashley for sharing. I am making a five year plan to move out the US.
In America today at Walmart I paid 5 dollars for two dozen of eggs, so really 2.50 for a dozen, definitely not 8 dollars, at least I can speak for the South, I'm not sure on East and West Coast is more expensive
Reparations and an apology, That's on that.
Most south Africans will definitely take a page from the enthusiasm that our Cousin's are bringing to S.A.
We appreciate you Ashford
I would settle for a stop to the constant harassment and hatred, but I honestly don't think it will happen.
Man it's the end of 2023 and I definitely definitely would love to visit one probably will be my first ever trip thank u for the information and yes ur energy is Pro Pro❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Ashley
I enjoy your videos a whole lot. I am in my 50’s? Born in Tanzanian but came to the us as a child. I believe I was twelve. I am so over USA. Besides being surrounded by my family, nothing about it give me joy. My husband and I have bought land and the plan in May is to start building a home in Arusha. My concerns are 1 making friends 2 finding something to do for work. I have been a Nurse my entire adulthood and that’s all I know.. Planing to move in three years or less. What advice can you give me?
Thanks
Hi Edi. Im so happy this resonates with you.

South 🇿🇦 🇿🇦🇿🇦 Africa is the most beautiful, peaceful country in the whole African continent. This is mother Africa ❤. This is your home.
Please stop lying 😂
@@enishalihoward8119 lying from where?
@@kevinandilemediahouse basically South Africa is starting to suffer from corruption overwhelming crime and other stuff dealing with the economy and industry
@@enishalihoward8119right?!!!😂😂😂 I'm South African and absolutely love my country but to call it the most peaceful country in Africa??? Please!
Hey! I’m moving to Johannesburg in like a month. Hopefully we could connect! Thank you for all this info!
Of course!! Glad it was helpful!
WE LOVE YOU ASH, GOD BLESS
$2000, what !, that is insane, that is my mortgage, 2 children school fees, monthly groceries, my car installment ,and petrol for the month, and i live in a huge house in the suburb, $2000 that is crazy
Hi Ashley, seriously considering a move to SA. I want a better quality of life for me, my son a d adult daughter. I will be a retired English teacher when I move from New Jersey and I want a better quality of life for myself snd my son. Its scary, but I am looking forward to the change.
I am visiting an amazing, special woman in JoBurg in less than 2 weeks and will be spending a few weeks at 🇿🇦 . Really appreciate all of your insights. If all goes how I hope, we will end up being a pretty dynamic couple when it comes to living situations; we may live for a time in 🇿🇦 , we may live for a time in 🇺🇸 , maybe elsewhere, maybe not...... I'm so excited to crash-land into the world of 🇿🇦 . It's cool that you've made a business out of informing and assisting expats. I will be checking out your links, and there's even a real possibility I might have to hit you up in the future if a huge life change such as that comes up in the cards. 😆
Homesickness does happen especially on those special days but the ppl there are so loving and like fam. they will help you get through and help you feel like you belong. But yes taking space to feel the feelings and understand that this is for your highest good, you’ll be able to get over that hump
I'm not sure which area you're located at in Johannesburg, but my family loved Makro. Makro, is like our Sam's Club and Costco at home. Also, WestPack is a bulk supply store for miscellaneous items, i.e. lots of kitchen supplies, general office supplies, and etcetera.
Thanks for the tips!
@@AshleyinAfrika You're welcome.
@@AshleyinAfrika Great Sis,
Loadshedding is getting better of people . They should make it a priority.
Great video. Thank you, Ms. Ashley!
You are so welcome!
Hi Ashley, how was the process to buy property in south africa? Am looking into investing in south africa. Thanks
You look South African so I’m sure that helps a lot.
Privileged American getting her education in the states and moving to an affluent part of SA. She got American money. In the US she would be average in SA shed wealthy.
You know me so well
@@AshleyinAfrika wow I'm surprised you have electricity right now to respond to me!
Do you live in one of those gentrified towns with subsidized electricity while locas are dealing with rolling black outs?
@@itsallperspective7415it honestly sounds like you’re dealing with some sort of weird jealousy
@@chellelechelle I'm Canadian. We have programs where people (mostly families) from South Africa are coming here. If South Africa is so amazing why move to Canada?
@@itsallperspective7415 Yeah, I agree I don’t know why any African would want to move to Canada and be surrounded by whiteness unless it’s for educational purposes or, in pursuit of better jobs.
Thanks for sharing I’ve been researching for months about making the transition and this video has helped a lot in my decision making! Johannesburg is definitely a runner up along with Ho Chi Minh City. 😊
You're so welcome!
Great video,
I would say the South Africa 🇿🇦 Cape Town one of most absolutely beautiful to be and seeing .Absolutely perfect walking 🚶♂️ any time night and day .
I live harbor Cape Town ,so many sailboats ⛵️ sailing around the world ⛵️ 🌎 Very famous city of Cape Town .

Thank you for the information.
Everything is very very expensive in Germany at the moment. And by the way you look beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😃
Ashley, food is probably more expensive here because most of our foods are still it GMO free
I am very interested in moving to another continent. I’ve been in the US all my life, knowing how much money to save just to make the moment is where I’m stuck at

Are you really covered that pros and cons. I'm considering moving abroad upon retirement I definitely couldn't use this video as an example for information.
Zulu, Xhosa. Let's do it. I'm keen on bagging some new strategies in batter of course
I Love your youtubes sooo much! Im a single white mother and how i can support my son living in peace, and with a community that smiles and we support each other is heaven. I lived in the u.k for 6 years and your a slave to work there and bad weather.
The loadshedding does suck but then we "braai".
My son speaks Zulu and he is a white boy of 12. I thought Zulu in school also and that was before 1994.
We love our country and welcome everybody with big hearts and open arms!
If you ever want to go for a coctail, give me a shout out!
Please watch the news about the new developments between SA and USA relationship, I wish that you'll understand why Afrika chose to dump USA. If you want to know more about it, we can chat aside. but Afrika is healing now that I can tell because I feel it.Welcome back home
Thank you for sharing
Yes!!!. We have one life & tomorrow is not promised. Live life to the fullest. This is so inspiring.
As a Black Puertorican man, my heart will always be in South Africa.
Very good video. Thank you for sharing. I watch your video's from Canada 🇨🇦 🙏🏾👍🏾
Canada suck... Cold and boring to live in. South Africa or the US i'll take...
@ComedyTVWeb yeah Canada 🇨🇦 is cold Canada too much cold 🥶
Please come back home and let’s build❤
Hey Ashley! I visited Jo burg South Africa for a month in 2019 for one month. My family and I want to relocate to South Africa. We need advice or a don't list or do list please will really appreciate it
Blacks moving back to Africa, their ancestral homeland, seems like the best solution to racial issues. I’m glad it’s going well for you.
The best teachers in my college days were old white men on sabbaticals to me and many people. It was different.
Great Video! How are the jobs there for Americans? Do they pay well enough to live comfortably or Do you need to have your own business to thrive or have an online remote job from the US?
Yes life is great in SA on the continent in general. But the quality of life is amazing. The people are beautiful and so sweet, the food is great, the infrastructures, cost of living, just everything! That’s why it’s my 2nd home. I have a whole fam tribe there now. Cons would be just phone theft and other than that idk any cons really either lol
If you would like to hear the content straight away, she begins around 3:30
I love this omg I wish I could visit one day best of luck God Bless
Pray for me people because once I get my first WFH job am moving to Africa.
What are the best/safe neighborhoods to live in Johannesburg ?
I live in Auckland Park, Johannesburg and its really safe and chilled here. I am sure there are more similar areas. I lived in UK an moved here and don't regret it
Is $75,000 saved enough to move out there if you already have a passport and a visa ? Or should one save more?
Well that gives you R1.4M rand. Are you only going to depend on that money 💰?
Very helpful. Thank you.
I am so happy to see you very happy . We love you sis.
Thank you so much 😊
The weather in Johannesburg was difficult? My guess is the winters? The rest of the year should be more comfortable than a tropical climate no?
Yes, the weather in the Spring is amazing
how safe is south Africa, crime etc? i've heard like half of the population is unemployed..
It's still safer than American if you do a little research
@@Lovean514 idk, maybe the love for the country is blinding u..
@@yutupedia7351 you are asking a question yet when someone responds you have a problem with their response. South Africa has the largest number of foreigners in the continent, not only from with the continent Africa but other parts of the world and more are moving in.
